Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Name of link

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@andi76
What are the hot chocolate toppers you speak of??
I'm desperate to get some hot chocolatey thing for christmas eve. I was tempted by the hot chocolate bombs but too expensive.

IHeartKingThistle · 11/11/2019 12:48

@Fridayfun someone I know bought a plain shiny metal fake sword and had 'Godric Gryffindor' engraved down the middle. No idea if that's a bargainous way of doing it though!

andi76 · 11/11/2019 12:49

@LadyNina00 - I think they were 6 giant, flat discs of Marshmallow to go on top of hot choc (looked like the idea was to fill the cup). I remember Home Bargains & they were cheap. I'll report back if I find them! I want them for stocking fillers.

@friskybivalves thanks for cheapy AirPod recommendation of i12TWS. They’re under £10 on eBay so I’m going to order some for DS. The fact you’re using them is helpful. There’s so many to choose from and that’s a great price

unkindnessofravens · 11/11/2019 13:05

@fridayfun there's a website called The Noble Collection which have a very expensive one for £184, but also a letter opener version, which might work if he wants one as an ornament.

Sorry - talking about Godric Gryffindor sword!

Serenity25 · 11/11/2019 13:18

Ok just reread your post and letter openers are a no! Sorry. 😳

Fridayfun · 11/11/2019 13:24

@IHeartKingThistle thanks for that. I might end up having to so something along those lines.

Thanks @IJustWantToWearDungarees. I presume he wants one he can play with. I can't believe it's so difficult to find one.

@boo300 Don’t think I’ve seen any other mentions of micro fibre towels.

Depends whether you want it for luxurious home use or practical swimming/pe bag but decathlon do decent micro fibre towels. They have loads of different colours and sizes - most of them have a contrasting colour used to stitch and bind the hem and they have a built in elastic in that colour to hold together when it’s all folded up.

Means the are very neat and compact and great to throw in your kit bag and not take up lots of space or fall apart when you pull them out of the bag I have a couple in the car I keep to throw over the seats when I pick up ds and friends from rugby or footie practice to keep the seats clean then in the summer they get double duty as towels to throw on the beach or impromptu picnic blankets.
