Thread 12 - hampergeddon

Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Referral link here . Use this to post any links where you can refer a mner and you or both of you get an incentive. For ease and fairness please don’t post these on the main thread.

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions on doing clicks links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know in bold or @ me Thanks

@sleepismysuperpower1 that would be great thanks. She’s set on a Chilly’s one because that’s what her friends have and she’s at that age where it’s got to be the same. Much to my bank balances disappointment

sleepismysuperpower1 · 10/11/2019 12:59

@Clementine8 I'll PM it to you x

Notlongnow1 · 10/11/2019 13:04

@Clementine8 tkmaxx have some for £9.99 and £12.99

ArabellaPilkington · 10/11/2019 13:08

Reastie - I have naice taste Grin and would be delighted with Aldi and Primark thoughtful gifts. Also impressed tbh - seeking out the nuggets of gold takes work!

Courtney555 · 10/11/2019 13:18

Is anyone else experiencing difficulty with the "show 1000 messages" button from the drop down menu?

I know a pp explained how to search the whole thread (on Android) by first selecting, "show 1000 messages", then clicking the three little dots and selecting "find on page" and typing the word/phrase you're searching for. But I can't get the first step to work. It does nothing.

What I'm after is a code for the works please, if anyone has one, but would have much rather been able to look and see for myself without bothering anyone Confused

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 10/11/2019 13:22

Codes for FeelUnique (apologies if anyone has already posted them!)

IdleBet · 10/11/2019 13:23

@sleepismysuperpower1 if any more chilly codes come up can I bagsy one?

youscumbagyoumaggot · 10/11/2019 13:24

@Courtney555 the works tend to advertise their codes quite prominently on their site. Currently code MERRY gets 10% off over £10, 20% off over £20 and 30% off over £30

Jammiebammie · 10/11/2019 13:28

@Courtney555 Congratulations! These thread babies are more dangerous than the bargains!
Chillys also have bottles at urban outfitters, and with the student code you can nab 25% off.

@Reastie that gift sounds lovely!

Jammiebammie · 10/11/2019 13:32

Oh @Reastie I posted before I finished. B&m have a lot of astrology and star sign gifts, trinket dishes, notebooks, eye masks etc and they look more expensive than what they are if you have one close by? (Bad pic added that I screenshot from YouTube)

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 10/11/2019 13:37

@ReindeerPoop I got the vtech watch on the amazon lightening deals last year for £20. Ds3 loves it.

@Courtney555 congratulations. Ds1 was born on Christmas Eve, due Christmas Day. He loves having a Christmas Eve birthday still and he's 14. You are making me very broody but we have 4 Ds's and DH has had the snip. Definitely no more in this house 😢

NoGravyForYou · 10/11/2019 13:45

Boomf have 11% off with GOODV11BES for 3 days: it's for singles day or something.

Make up Revolution have 20% off co creator products with code COLLABS20

Biscuiteers have 15% off chirstmas collect with EARLYBIRD19

Hush have free delivery and free returns with code WINTER19

Soul & Spirit magazine are doing 3 issues for £14.99 and a free salt lamp when you subscribe.

Yankeecandle.co.uk have 20% off nearly everything with code NOV20 including Christmas sets and personalised candles that I didn't know they did!

Not a bargain but a quirky gift, ages ago someone linked to the free personalised colouring pages and the company that made them have a personalised glow in the dark book, they're selling them in kits that come in a box, with a torch and some teddies from the book. Oh and there's a code EARLYXMAS15 15% off and free delivery.

Baileystruffle · 10/11/2019 14:20

Kirbs1979 I can highly recommend Fabled lands books which I loved as a kid and have now been reprinted on amazon. It's a set of 7 books which is open world so you can travel round the map and pass between books, there are loads of quests. First one is called 'The war torn kingdom'.

nickdrakeslovechild · 10/11/2019 14:35

Long time lurker here and amazed by everyone’s bargain skills!
Hoping someone might be able to recommend a not too pricey beer / whisky advent calendar, please?

Themazeoflife · 10/11/2019 15:06

Need items for older teen boys/young men I have no ideas. Discount codes for anything suitable needed.

LadyNina00 · 10/11/2019 15:15

@themazeoflife
Power bank down to £9.41 on Amazon with Prime, has great reviews. I've bought one for my 19 year old son. Hes always running out of phone charge.

Gustavo1 · 10/11/2019 15:17

Remember the brew co tea starter sets we all got? Have just been on for some refill tea for DH and I had 50 ‘brew coins’ based on that last order. Means a £5 order discount. The order needs to be over £10 after the discount to still qualify for free delivery but I got some nice tea as stocking fillers.

For any coffee lovers. The 4 pack on the page is good value at £2 each. 10% off first order if you sign up for emails. I love the caramel and Irish cream flavours.
