Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Thank you so much @Muddlewitch and @Tooner, I have got the anker speaker for my nephew, as he keeps pinching his mum’s, and the candles are so lovely, they might land up in my present pile rather than teen dd’s stocking Grin

Christmas babies are so lovely though @Barbarara Wink . One of mine was due on Christmas day, but came a few days early. I always tell them it was because they were too excited about Christmas to miss it and they think it's the truth. And their older sibling had been asking for a 'real alive baby' for Christmas before she knew I was pregnant so we were blown away when we found out the due date! That worked out really well. We got a grotto Santa to tell her that he might not be able to guarantee a Christmas delivery and she was cool with it. I think you might have missed the pre-orders for Christmas babies this year though I'm afraid.

Double congratulations @Courtney555 Shock Grin

hypodermicnurdle · 10/11/2019 10:55

Thanks, Tooner - great stocking fillers!

I've ordered a colouring book of Cute Cats Farting for my nieces. Not sure their mums will approve (often have mouths like catbums, but that's purely coincidental)… Grin

They also do Cute Dogs Farting

Kirbs1979 · 10/11/2019 11:10

My eldest is 10 on Christmas day, she was due New years eve. I tell her she's the best Christmas present me and her dad have ever had.
I've read threads where people hate that their birthday is Christmas day so I always feel a bit guilty about it but try to make it special.
On the subject of her, she loves reading and I got her some "choose your own adventure books" last year from the local charitys book shop. She's asked for some more and they appear to be only available 2nd hand, apart from ebay are there any other sites that are good for 2nd hand books.

Kirbs1979 · 10/11/2019 12:08

@Notlongnow1 Hi, no its not those, the picture I've attached shows the type, but they might be good in addition, thank you. Honestly we bought her about 20 books last year, i think she would have still loved more. Also got her a fire so she could access the kindle on it but its not the same and she prefers paper books.
@Sneezein3s Thank you, that site looks really good

Can anyone remind me the best place to get a chilly’s bottle. DD has just decided she has to have one.

imsorryiasked · 10/11/2019 12:26

@Kirbs1979 goodreads have lots of good recommendations for those type off books.
Try wordery or world of books or snazal as alternative second hand places online.
The book people also have choose your own fairy tale ending

Courtney congrats! What a Christmas present you’re due!

Thank you for the ideas, I’m wondering about the Aldi pomegranate candle and diffuser and possibly a primark star scarf if I can get there. would someone with potential naice taste turn their nose up at an Aldi and primark gift?
