Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

I saw that one, RJ. It's a teeny bit cheaper on Amazon. Dear do though, eh?!

Dangerfloof · 09/11/2019 15:05

Another Celtic and co code. Which I wouldn't have known about were it not for someone else posting.

Lego City Fire Station looks good value on Amazon at the moment at £38.40. I haven’t checked on CCC though. Adding to the thread baby list, I’m due in January so also appreciating getting started on Xmas early!

Justapatchofgrass · 09/11/2019 15:12

DS2 (6) has been listening to 'Danny the champion of the world' audiobook and is now insistent Santa will bring him a pheasant...anyone any ideas?!

doctorboo · 09/11/2019 15:55

@Notlongnow1 I love both of those.

I’m currently waiting for Monday morning so I can test, and see whether or not we’re going to give the family a Christmas surprise bloody big shock and it’s left me all out of sorts.

To help me ignore the all day nausea feeling under the weather, I’m on the hunt for building kits for my two nephews, 7 and 9. I found some cool metal work building kits from The Book People of London landmarks for £7.49, plus two other but they are all marked as 14+ and although I love the look of them I don’t think their dad wants to spend Christmas building those and the Metal Art Space Collection.

Dobbies has loads of the Lego advent calendars in stock, as well as Yankee / Woodwick candles. With the 20% off, these come down to good prices. There's toys, books, cuddly toys too. I reckon you could do most of your Christmas shopping in there, actually.

SleighbellsAndHollyberries · 09/11/2019 16:14

@Jammiebammie Got it! Much appreciated.
Thank you so much. You are very kind. 💐

girlsyearapart · 09/11/2019 16:20

snooky17 try either central tickets or lovetheatre

BrightonBB · 09/11/2019 16:31

Cereal box advent calendars in Debenhams - those little variety boxes that I never let my kids have - thought it might be a good idea for those doing a DIY advent.

EvilHerbivore · 09/11/2019 16:34

Thank you everyone for the pheasant suggestions! Always come up trumps when there's weird present requests

Chocolateteabag · 09/11/2019 16:43

@EvilHerbivore do you knit? this book is £5 from the Book People and there is a pheasant option

I have pheasant obsessed DC's (& a dog)

RubySlippers77 · 09/11/2019 16:46

@Snooky17 if you book through Theatre Tickets Direct and go via TopCashback you get 3.67% back at the moment, in case that makes it any cheaper! I love the theatre but it can be very expensive Sad

whatwillicallmyself · 09/11/2019 16:46

@Ewock my son got it last year he will be 5 this Jan but still plays with it, he can spend ages doing different icecreams and then not play with it for a week or two but he goes back and forth to it. He is quite tall but just pulls it along rather than pushes it so still suitable even though he is bigger if that makes sense.

MulberryPeony · 09/11/2019 16:52

Doh missed another Gruum code!

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 09/11/2019 16:53

FFS I used the Argos fast track as I didn't know how soon I would be able to get there and they only hold for 2 days on a normal reservation. All were boxes in the 20% off toys offer and have all got ridiculously sticky yellow labels ripping the boxes Halloween Angry
