Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

@Fuckingfuckssake Have you looked at The Lady magazine? That's aimed at 'ladies of a certain age'.

Carrie76 · 08/11/2019 11:55

@Shitfuckoh thanks for that, might just get it. Dh will think I’m nuts! she wrote her letter in August and put it in her beside drawer, she’s not wavering at all.

Shakespearesglobe · 08/11/2019 11:57

Do M&S ever do 3 for 2 on Christmas decorations? Currently looking at mini trees for the kids rooms and was sure they used to in their Christmas shop! Thanks

SaveMeFromMrTumble · 08/11/2019 12:01

I started wrapping Christmas presents last night, the earliest i have ever started! I am very proud of myself 🎁🎄😊

DFC10IW gives you 10% off at IWOOT

MrsCrimbo74 · 08/11/2019 12:13

Im looking for a gift for my teenage dn, he’s just got into (it’s either warhammer or world of warcraft) basically the little figures that battle on a board Confused. Anyone that knows what I’m talking about, can you recommend anything. Xx

MrsCrimbo74 · 08/11/2019 12:30

I know the offer at IWOOT has already been mentioned but I thought this looked particularly good for HP fans was £54.99 now £29.99

I'm totally over invested in all your hampers. I really hope they turn up!

Can't find who recommended it a while ago, but I picked up my space fairy lights from Argos for £6.66 and they are fantastic. Thank you. I have bought glow in the dark dots/stars (£9 on amazon) for the ceiling and I'm going to do the room as a surprise (this is for DH not a DC Blush but he is obsessed with all things space) Photos of the lights attached!

I have some codes:

Bloom & Wild £10 off first order with code SBRT77

Lakeland £5 off when you spend £30

I have been trying not to buy a Leapfrog Ice Cream Cart since about May as although DD2 was asking she is 4 soon and I wondered how long it would last but now @Carrie76 has reminded me about it and @Shitfuckoh has found it for under £30 I think it is meant to be... (I’ve been tracking on amazon and never saw it under £35 in 6 months!!)

Reastie · 08/11/2019 12:58

Re IWOOT just a word of caution. I had an issue with an order a few years ago (something I bought arrived damaged) and they were dire at sorting it out. It literally took me weeks and copious amounts of emails for them to do a straight forward return and send out an undamaged one. To the point I would email something like ‘x has arrived last week and has y issue. I wish to proceed with returning this and having a replacement sent and would like to confirm I will have my postage refunded ffor this as the issue is not my fault’ and they’d reply with a stock message that made no sense to my email and didn’t deal with the issue EVERY SINGLE TIME. I am never ordering with them again. I know others on here have had similar issues.

IWOOT and Hush, they’re my two avoid sites!

Mrs Crimbo Warhammer is the little figures. Is he looking to just play, or does he want to paint the figures himself? Also, which army does he play?

MrsCrimbo74 · 08/11/2019 13:08

Vebrithien oh my goodness I didn’t know there was a specific army! This isn’t going to be as easy as I thought, he likes to paint them I know that, I’ll have to try and find out a bit more info from my dsil.
Thank you x

NoGravyForYou · 08/11/2019 13:27

Boomf ( exploding cards, personalised marshmallows ) have emailed hinting at a sale starting on Sunday. I used them to give concert tickets before ( although it arrived after Christmas, but they refunded me straight away) so order early in advance.
They also sent me a 20% off code REXM20

RubySlippers77 · 08/11/2019 13:31

@WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles please could you let me know if the Argos space lights were on special offer? They are showing as £10 now Sad

Such a shame about IWOOT, I used to love them but also had a bad experience with their (lack of!) customer service. Otherwise I'd definitely have bought a couple of their lava lamps as DS1 would be really chuffed.

Buckley of London have 3 for 2 on all jewellery this weekend, works on the sale jewellery too if anyone's in need of some sparkly bits!

Questionsquestionsquestions · 08/11/2019 13:31

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a baking subscription/kit for a keen 9 year old baker? All the children's one seem too young, but I'm just looking for something that will come monthly that she can enjoy doing. Anyone come across anything that's been good? Thanks Smile

RubySlippers77 · 08/11/2019 13:35

@Questionsquestionsquestions have you tried Baked In? I used to do it (seem to remember they had a special offer on joining at the time) but with young DC it got to the point where I never had time. Lovely stuff though!

NewBabyJoy · 08/11/2019 13:36

@ClaraLane thanks for the suggestions. I think my 2yo will love it too. Had seen the one at babipur, but not the others. There are also some more bargainous ones on Etsy with similar pics to the ones on amazon. Anyone bought from either of those places?

NoWordForFluffy · 08/11/2019 13:37

I agree re IWOOT. Really, really hard to get a refund. It took so long that my cash back confirmed in the meantime! Which says everything.

NewBabyJoy · 08/11/2019 13:37

To clarify, I'm looking at pikler triangle type indoor climbing frame things.

Carrie76 · 08/11/2019 13:39

Did someone mention a debenhams code or am I imagining things?

@BadgerFace Argos looks like the best bet for the Icecream cart

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 08/11/2019 13:40

@RubySlippers77 gah! I think the lights might have been on sale, I reserved them on the day I saw them on here but they were only delivered into the store today - I definitely paid £6.66 but have just checked and they are now up at £10. However - I would happily pay £10 for them as they are perfect for DH, so it might still be worth it?

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 08/11/2019 13:41

(Although DH will probably be horrified that the distance between the planets isn't correct, and explain this to me at great length Grin)

Reastie · 08/11/2019 13:45

Frisky thank you for the M&S offer, fluffy has very kindly just sorted me out Thanks

@NewBabyJoy Only thing you need to check with Etsy/Amazon are whether they’ve been CE tested because I know quite a few companies don’t bother as it can be pricey.

Apparently Sawdust and Rainbows are sending stock out to their stockists soon so keep an eye on their Facebook page!
