Morning
Second train trip for work this week (I normally only venture out once a week)
Hope everyone has a good day
70 - hope today goes quickly and tomorrow goes well - it must feel like you are in limbo compared to last year
Mrs - glad the gp/hospital are doing something about your mum - it will be v wearing for you to have to be pushing for attention from them.

I have a mountain of work to get through today before hopefully getting to some Xmas shopping tomorrow (or just doing the bits I don't get done to day) I have managed to get myself into cooking Sunday lunch this week (I am not a good cook) and it's for friends who have cooked lots for us over the last few weeks while I've been busy with DSIS
I must be mad!

NoWordForFluffy · 21/11/2019 07:36

Flouncy, I reckon there's about 3 hours more needed on it, including threading needles etc. Give or take (depending on how many bastard yellow squares there are on this bit!).

I'm glad you're feeling better today.

Thankfully my DH isn't useless. But then he's been the SAHP, so had to learn to do stuff he hadn't already been taught (in fairness his mum trained him well!).

It's funny, I look at the cross stitched I did last year that I thought were detailed, and they have nothing on the amount of content this one has!

No presents. We're too poor Grin plus usually I forget Grin

Fluffy WiFi is definitely more important!

NoWordForFluffy · 21/11/2019 08:23

Flouncy, despite watching YouTube tutorials, I still can't do French knots! 😂😂

I agree, Wreck!

Happy anniversary Wreck. We don't do presents or cards for our anniversary either. He's got all he'll ever want or need in me - how could a present top that 🤣🤣🤣

Brum was lovely. Very festive and the gluhwein was delicious. I'm waiting on a gift voucher arriving and then that's all the extended family presents sorted. I'm delivering some this weekend so I need a short wrapping session tomorrow. DH's present was bought yesterday and I'm hoping for a couple of Black Friday bargains from Amazon tomorrow. Then the only things I need to get are magazines just before Christmas and I am done. Then the mega wrapping session starts.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/11/2019 13:08

Woolly, Black Friday is next week! I'm hoping for the Aeropress to drop in price.

Sounds like Brum was good fun. 🎅🏻🎄

We get each other anniversary cards. No presents though. Way too much faff!

OP posts:
TheWoollybacksWife · 21/11/2019 13:22

I'm confused now not difficult. I know Thanksgiving is next Thursday and the real Black Friday is the day after but the Amazon website says that their Black Friday deals go live at midnight tonight. I'll have a look tomorrow and see what's what.

Mrsmadevans · 21/11/2019 13:25

Happy wedding anniversary to you both Wreck ❤️ hav a lovely day 😊
Am in Hospital with Mum. Took her to the doctor this morning and she has sent Mum into the emergency assessment unit. Mum's leg is pouring pus it is horrible. 🙄🤪
Can't reply to everyone because am on my phone and haven't much signal or data🙄
Will keep you posted 😊

WreckTangled · 21/11/2019 14:36

Oh mrs that's rubbish! My mum used to suffer a lot with foot ulcers and cellulitis so I know what it's like. Thankfully she hasn't had any for years and years now.

Woolly I think amazon started doing Black Friday week a few years back

My grandparents gave us £20 and my parents gave us £10 Grin so nice of them will probably go on Christmas presents Hmm I'm home early which is nice still have a bit of work to do though as I didn't have any signal on my laptop at my last school visit

NoWordForFluffy · 21/11/2019 17:35

I did post in reply, Woolly, but it vanished.

And yes, proper BF next week, fake BF this week. I'm hoping the Aeropress isn't reduced until next week when I get paid though!

CrazyBaubles · 21/11/2019 21:03

I had to google what an aeropress is Xmas Blush but in my defence I'm a tea / hot choc drinker (no caffeine as it's a migraine trigger for me).

Happy anniversary Wreck. So nice to be gifted some £. Could you maybe spend some on presents and some on some sort of treat for tea to celebrate on the weekend?

Sorry about your mum MrsMad. Is she at NH or RG? I hope she's feeling better soon.

Fluffy I am still 😍 at your heart Christmas cross stitch from last year.

I am finally home after working then shopping then mums for tea (it was chaos with parents, sis and her family and cousin and her family). Exhausted now but going to prep my lunch for tomorrow (homemade scotch eggs and salad 👍🏻) then hopefully start the back of this bloody cushion! Xmas Grin

WreckTangled · 21/11/2019 21:07

I'm going to take it with me to the Christmas market tomorrow Smile dh said I could have it. He's ok sometimes Wink

Mrsmadevans · 21/11/2019 21:35

Evening all Smile
Have been in Hospital with Mum from 1 till 9, she is finally in a bed and has had her first IV'S . I am really tired Hmm. Been up Mum's since 9 this morning got home half hour ago. TBF to the Assessment ward there are many ppl who are much worse off than Mum but if she wasn't treated she would be one of them too. So it is all good that she has gone in. I have done everything for her and she is bedded down over there now, comfy and with everything she could possible need so l can relax now Smile. The staff were amazing , there was a young Dr called Lewis who was so kind, then the Nurse called Laura who did everything she could for Mum and when she said Goodbye to Mum she hugged her , l want to cry now, silly sod that l am Smile
The Consultant was lovely to her and me, do you know he put Mum's slippers back on her feet , something so small yet so meaningful . I saw the NHS at it's best today fair do's. Such kindness Smile
Ahhh Wreck that is smashing for you to have some cash for your anniversary , we don't do pressies either or at Christmas or birthdays now , if we want something we just get it but as you get older you don't seem to want a lot tbh , at least in our case Hmm .l would spend it on Christmas pressies too tbh Xmas Grin glad you got your WIFI back!
Woolly it sounds like you had a lovely time m'dear , well done on the shopping & wrapping plans too Smile
Fanny poor DH l am sure he is devastated he can't use the washing machine Xmas Grin, glad you feel much better Smile
Fluffy the cross stitches you have done are just lovely , l can't wait to see the other ones framed Xmas Grin
Am off to bed soon l am knackered !
Have a good night everyone Smile

Mrsmadevans · 21/11/2019 21:43

Crazy, l x posted with you m'dear , Mum is in Nevill Hall , they have been fantastic l cannot fault them Smile , good to hear you had a lovely tea at your parents with the family , lovely for you all Smile

I am holding off going to bed for a while , the lure of the bathroom is strong . (Last time I did the full prep it was 2 tablets and 2 drinks starting about 8am. This one is no food after 1pm then first litre at 5pm then next about 8-9pm)
It took me over two hours to drink the first one then I felt really sick so didn't start the 2nd till about 10pm.

DH,,DD and DS all tucked into pizza and garlic bread Xmas Hmm I know they have to eat but those loose slabs on the patio are calling their names Xmas Grin. Not a court in the land would convict me !

Our female cat spent all day sleeping on my bed , being sweet . I am wondering what she's up to now .

NoWordForFluffy · 22/11/2019 06:14

Morning!

I'd be patioising them too, 70! I hope you got some sleep in the end.

It's still bloody cold here. I'm glad DH got me some thermal work gloves for the allotment. I'll need them tomorrow!

Apparently it's wet outside. I've not looked yet though. 😂

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 22/11/2019 07:52

Hope today goes ok 70!

I'm going to my first Christmas market today! It's at an open air museum so should be good if a little wet!

Mrsmadevans · 22/11/2019 08:14

Morning everyone 😀
Off to see Mum soon. Will be relieved to see her 😊
70 good luck for today m'dear .
Wreck enjoy your Christmas market and hope the weather stays good for you 😊
It's rained all night here by the looks Fluffy but it isn't cold at all 😁
Right better shift over to see Mum 😁
Have a great day everyone 😀

NoWordForFluffy · 22/11/2019 08:26

It was warmer than the temperature in our house suggested it was actually! 😂 Which is good. I'll still need the warmer gloves tomorrow as the ground is really cold.

Enjoy the market, Wreck.

I hope your mum's OK today, Mrs.

TheWoollybacksWife · 22/11/2019 08:32

Good luck today 70. I'm sure we can say you were elsewhere if your patio gets some essential maintenance

Hope your mum is on the mend MrsMad

Got my Amazon bargains this morning and now I need to get my backside in gear. Off to Tesco this morning then I'm packing for my weekend with my siblings. I've got a very early start tomorrow but that means I should be north of Liverpool by about 10am tomorrow.
