DH watched the debate and it caught my attention. Was 😡 at both of them for their rudeness, interrupting etc. Don't believe much of what either one said which doesn't help...

Hope everyone is ok, I haven't caught up completely yet.

Anyway, I realised I asked for opinions on the cushion then disappeared, sorry. Life has truly got in the way the last 2 days but I'm back. I decided to go for the Santa jacket and possibly make it reversible but haven't actually had time to look into the present side properly yet.

I joined SW yesterday so been up to my eyeballs in recipes etc. Bit overwhelming to be honest so I'm taking a little break from that so will have a little read through the thread.

Morning! Still feels chilly today, even though the temp is up a tiny amount. The wind is also up, which doesn't help. At least the washing that's been out for 24 hours now has a hope of drying! 😂

No footy or debate here. A farming programme on 5 plus cross stitch (I'm pissed off as I counted wrong and had to unpick something) for me.

I'm off to the beach today not really but a couple of schools v close to them and have scheduled them so my lunch break will be in an awesome garden centre with the best Christmas decs.

Wreck my DH used to dig through the cables all the time working for Openreach ,🙄 it was part and parcel of the job. He was a pole/works inspector and get had to dig around the base of the poles to see if they were rotten 🙄
He cut electric, water, broadband you name it he did it 😁. How the hell he didn't kill himself l will Never know 🙄

Fluffy I'm also a perfectionist and would undo something if I found an error. I have unpicked and re-knitted a finished cardigan where I found one of the decreases on the sleeve going the wrong way so I sympathise. I have heard that the traditional weavers of expensive Persian rugs deliberately included an error as only God can create perfection.

I'm off to Brum later with DD2 to mooch around the German market and get merry on mulled wine.

I have just realised it is five weeks till Christmas

Tomorrow , I need to prep ( aka live on Lucozade and black tea and take a mega heavy duty laxative ) and stay in very close proximity to the bathroom.

I did an online order ( PJs and socks - oh the glamour)

I years gone by , I'd have been shopping loads with DD and been sick of the shops by now . This year , I haven't been shopping since early October so not seen the lights and decorations ( local Tesco to buy soya milk and have a walk)

I have A List for when I can get there . It will be a Stealth Visit with lots of sitting down to have coffee .

I need to sort my Flu jab once they say I;m ok, I do not want flu to top it all .

I have the Woman& Home Christmas magazine for tomorrow .

Evening everyone
I have just spoken with the GP , Mum is on the correct antibiotics for the cellulitis but she is not responding to them. Dr wants to see her tomorrow morning with a view that Mum will have to go into Hospital for IV'S . Mum is not very happy about this but tbh l can't see any other way out . I am resigned to it l think. She really hasn't been well today and the redness is spreading . it just has to be done
On a lighter note l am happier that her care is not solely on my shoulders anymore , it has been weighing me down, l can tell you.
Woolly l hope you & DD2 having the most wonderful evening

Almost there! I lost an hour's stitching time tonight as it was food shop night. I had to go to Tesco as I had an £8 off £40 voucher. I got some Christmas bits to freeze as well as normal groceries.

I reckon 2 more nights and I'll be done.

Morning! Still cold, but not cold enough for frost! And this train appears to have no heating. 🥶🥶🥶
