Thanks @buckeejit for title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

So annoyed, just walked down to Sainsbury’s to take advantage of the 25% off clothing and it’s finished.....kicking myself coz I was in here yesterday but was dithering 😡

CupCupGoose · 29/10/2019 09:20

Barbie aeroplane is down to £45. The next cheapest I can find it is £65. Still expensive though!

Sneezein3s · 29/10/2019 09:21

@captainflash thanks so much the Argos one is just what I was imagining - my daughter is also 4 so good to know it will last Smile

Elphaba17 · 29/10/2019 09:22

Re dolls houses, DD had the older version of the Chad Valley one from Argos and it is still going strong 5 years later. It was brilliant quality and has lasted longer than the more expensive version from ELC that her cousin got at the same time.

For anyone looking at candles I am a complete convert to the Yankee Candle scentrepiece. The smell is amazing and lasts longer than traditional candles, plus the wax melts seem to last forever and have saved me so much money. I have three scents that I'm alternating and despite burning every day for the last few months there is barely a dent made in any of them.

The barbie plane is on amazon. That would probably help!

Bluewavescrashing · 29/10/2019 09:23

MENTOS25 (for 25% off) at Complimentos for personalised rolls of Mentos

recklessgran · 29/10/2019 09:24

Thanks for the Elemis help - I'll sit on my hands for now. Cheapest place I have found so far for the items is John Lewis but they're currently all out of stock on line.

Elphaba17 · 29/10/2019 09:27

There was a great elemis code posted on this thread last year. I seem to remember all female relatives getting hand wash or handlotion Wink for Christmas.

PaddingtonBearPumpkinstare · 29/10/2019 09:29

@DianaPrinceRocks stalk away if you are helping me. Do you want a list of who I still have to buy for? Halloween Grin

recklessgran · 29/10/2019 09:36

Ha! Ha! @Elphaba17 - I had several bottles of the £5 handwash too!

Mammyofonlyone · 29/10/2019 09:36

Thank you Stars, that is super. I was debating between Galt and Chad Valley so you've answered my question there!
Will keep my eyes peeled for Argos discount days. Maybe they will do something for BlackFriday etc as we get closer to Christmas.
Thank you again

BrightonBB · 29/10/2019 09:42

@Bigearedbob - great list on that FirstNews link - came across Bananagram Cobra Paw game which looks good and I’d never seen before. Has anyone got it/played it? Looks a good game for Christmas Day.
Also, The Wonders of Nature Book looks nice for DD.
Thank you.

Jedstre · 29/10/2019 09:52

@Mammyofonlyone my email yesterday from Aldi had a sewing machine which might be suitable (depends on age). It’s pre order I think in stores 3 Nov

Mammyofonlyone · 29/10/2019 10:01

Thx Jedstre

QVCismyJam · 29/10/2019 10:14

Not sure if its been mentioned as thread moving so quickly - spotted on HUKDeals @ Tesco they have Green & Blacks Organic Tasting Collection Boxed Chocolates 395G £5.50 Starts this Weds.

These were well received small prezzies last year for my lot - but then again Amazon may bring them down cheaper nearer Black Fri?

gigglingHyena · 29/10/2019 10:15

@iancslass17 we have this one www.amazon.co.uk/jaymag-Weighted-Blanket-Sensory-Non-drug/dp/B07QXS7D5D/ref=sr_1_7?crid=3SEVB9MVAGLUO&keywords=weighted+blankets+for+adults&sprefix=Weighted%2Caps%2C188&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1572343841&sr=8-7

It seems to bounce round in price, think it went down to £59 when we got it.

QVC have a Bareminerals Deluxe original foundation gift collection (6 piece) for an excellent price today - especially as the foundation is on offer on the Bareminerals site for £39 alone!
Not sure if I can do the links but here goes!

The box of mini bars of Green and Blacks have been half price in the run up to Christmas at Asda the last 2 years. @QVCismyJam I always get a stack of them as stocking fillers and spare gifts. MIL gave me a box at the weekend and I was side eyeing them wondering if they were the ones I gave her last Christmas...

PinkDaydreams · 29/10/2019 10:47

Any ideas what to buy DH elderly nan please? Nothing foody, she’s not into reading, she can’t walk that well, I’ve been told no candles and definitely no smellies.
I was thinking of a bunch of flowers but not sure if that’s a bit thoughtless?

Shitfuckoh · 29/10/2019 10:59

@PinkDaydreams how about a nice cosy blanket? Maybe some lovely slippers?

totallyLosingIt · 29/10/2019 11:01

Thanks @PumpkinKing, I think there is one doing the rounds at the minute, I was just hoping to get an extra chunk off if I could!

ClaraLane · 29/10/2019 11:02

My Nan loves a reed diffuser for a present. She’s also always thrilled by a picture of her grandkids/great grandkids in a nice frame.

PinkDaydreams · 29/10/2019 11:05

We gave her a picture of the little one for Mother’s Day but I suppose you can never have too many pictures of family Grin reed diffuser is a great suggestion thank you!
Slippers, nightie and blanket have already been bought by another family member.
