Love the pics of the sewing projects. I’ve only just started mine Blush and it took an hour to do one tiny bit. At this rate, it will be ready for Christmas 2020..
DS finishes for half term today. Hoping to spend the week getting well after all the bugs he’s been bringing home from preschool and lovingly sharing with the rest of us!

Good luck with the interview wreck. It seems there's an early wave of cold/flu doing the rounds 😢. I am still in hospital so avoiding it all (hopefully). I think flu on top of everything might be too much for my haggard old carcass. Only 61 days now? I was telling dh that when I was in the intensive care I was mentally sorting out a tub of Quality Street in order....purple one. The soft carmel. Is there a crispy orange one? Coconut ice. Long toffee chocolate one......strawberry creams last 😁

Thanks everyone. I do feel better but still not great. I was in the interview for an hour and forty minutes and he said he might have to do second interviews which would be annoying.

It's really windy here and all the leaves are coming down. Still mild though. Has anyone had the cheese bakes from Aldi? They're amazing! I'm having one for dinner with celery and cucumber to dip in it 😋

Mrsmadevans · 25/10/2019 17:34

Bloody hell Wreck you were there all that time and not well too. I hope they bloody give it you after all that !
FANNY I AM GOING TO PUT IT ON A CUSHION BUT OF COURSE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT SEWING IT ONTO A CUSHION Shock Wundaweb it is then Xmas Grin
My right leg is starting to hurt just like my left leg did. I hope it isn't going to be as bad as that was l don't think l can stand it . I think l will start the Gabapentin now.
It is terrible here the weather is atrocious, windy as hell, raining cats & dogs and there is going to be a flood of the river l bet Hmm.
Hope everyone is feeling better Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 25/10/2019 17:37

Wreck, epic interview. 😱

Mrs I've had gabapentin before and found it worked for me.

I know it was so long. Some of that was being shown round by the current person in the position which was a bit weird. She's retiring though so they're going to have a crossover which would be good.

Mrsmadevans · 25/10/2019 18:09

Oh that IS a good thing Wreck it's lovely for her to be retiring Smile.
l will get the Gabapentin down me now Smile
Fluffy.... purple ones for us Xmas Grin

Ooh it's Rudolph Day 😀 next will be the clocks going back then Halloween. I am hopefully getting home on Sunday. Then the recovery . I am soooo way behind and at the moment going round shops (the thought of it) fills me with horror . I can foresee a lot of online shopping

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/10/2019 19:28

I've got a bottle of wine open so I'd better post now while I'm still reasonably sober 😬 apologies to anyone I miss.

Glad to see you are recovering well 70. I quite like the crunchy orange ones and the green triangles. I'm also hoping that QS do a pick and mix again this Christmas although I'd have to load up with toffee pennies for DH and DD1.

Wreck I hope you get extra brownie points for dragging yourself in off your sick bed. That sounds like a gruelling experience and 🤞 you did well.

Nabel DD1 is on her third cold of the term. She passed one on to me but I battered it with a hot toddy and it didn't amount to much. Unfortunately DD1 is a teacher so doesn't really get to take time off to recover before the next Petrie dish full of germs class infects her.

Fluffy it has pissed down all day here. The garden is still green and lush and we still have flowers but my sun room looks like Widow Twanky's laundry and the tumble dryer is working overtime.

My Disney makeup for the DDs Christmas presents arrived today. The photo doesn't do it justice but it's beautiful.

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/10/2019 19:30

The photo would help. Stupid app won't let me add it. Take my word for it 🤣

NoWordForFluffy · 25/10/2019 19:57

I'm sure it's gorgeous, Woolly!

Still raining here. Send boats! 🚣🏿‍♀️ 🚣🏿‍♀️

Sorry I am so behind ladies! How are you all?

I am so behind on my cross stitch, aiming to have 4-5 of them done for Christmas now rather than all 6.

Work has been insane so I am so glad it is finally half term. We were all ready after an 8 week half term.

WreckTangled · 26/10/2019 07:10

I can't smell or taste my coffee this morning Sad am working in the toy shop too

NoWordForFluffy · 26/10/2019 07:19

60

Morning!

I hope you can taste / smell soon, Wreck! I was wondering about your toy shop job recently!

Emrys, you might still get all 6 done. It's amazing how much you can do sometimes.

I'm cracking on with my new one. When it's time to move the hoop I'll finish the other one! I'm not going to interrupt my flow on this one. Xmas Grin

I'm meant to be allotmenting this morning. If it's bucketing down I may not bother.

You're all so clever with your stitching. I love them Smile

I only work there in the holidays. Looking forward to seeing all the christmas stock and jellycats. Have already put by a snow tiger for ds

EmrysAtticus · 26/10/2019 07:49

Hope you feel better soon wreck and hope it's not too busy in the shop for you.

Love the stitching fluffy. You are right, if I am in the right mood and I get a solid couple of hours I can really power through.

Mrsmadevans · 26/10/2019 08:47

Morning everyone 😀
Dd2 is thinking of moving to Cardiff 😭, they have made her permanent and she is looking Ving and dying the job. It's so good to see her so happy and fulfilled but l am like 😭 about her leaving home . She is thinking of buying a new build 1 bed flat in Canton. She is very focused and determined .It's all very worrying for me l can tell you. All the what ifs .... l can't stop her and l don't want to but l am worrying about her selling the property if she meets someone and wants DC. My DH is very different to me he says she is investing in her future. They are building a Metro station outside her flat going straight into Cardiff city centre which means it will take 2 mins to get there. She thinks it will put money on her property in the future but what do l know. Oh God who would be a mother ? Advice and words of comfort very much appreciated thank you m'dears 🤗
Wreck hope you are much better soon m'dear 💐
Fluffy don't blame you nit going to the allotment it's horrible out there 🤗
Woolly Disney make up set is gorgeous
Em missed you m'dear♥️🤗
Best shift Mum to see to have a lovely day everyone 😀

NoWordForFluffy · 26/10/2019 09:00

I think you have to let her do it, Mrs! I'm not sure what 'looking Ving and dying the job' is an autocorrect for, but I got the gist! 😂😂

A 1 bed would do a family of 3 for even a year post-birth. So even if she met someone immediately and they got married after a few years, then had a baby a couple of years later, it would do for 6 years or so!

And they have to fly the nest at some point. It shows that they've been brought up to be strong and independent. Well done mum!! ❤️❤️

I guess I will be doing some washing today...

NoWordForFluffy · 26/10/2019 10:00

Ooh, Emrys! 😱🙈

We're doing washing. It's due to brighten up later, so we're getting the washing done in preparation! We have so bloody much all of a sudden. [Fconfused] Not sure where it suddenly comes from! 😂

OP posts:
TheWoollybacksWife · 26/10/2019 10:26

That Peppa Pig has a lot to answer for 🤣

Our laundry is breeding too. Being away last week seemed to scupper everything. Yesterday's load was DS's basket including his PE kit and full uniform - even his blazer got it's half term wash. Whatever I do today needs to go in the dryer as the hot airer is still full.

So I'm watching the rugby and crocheting a baby blanket 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mrsmadevans · 26/10/2019 15:58

I know Fluffy it's just the end of an era you know 😭
She told me and DH to come and clean and fill the fridge up twice a week so l think she still loves me 🤗♥️
