Good luck on the interview Wreck.

I have also been struck down with the lurgy/head cold. I made a hot and sour soup for dinner to see if I can get rid of it.

If money was no object I'd buy an Aston Martin DB5. Alas I'll never have that kind of money.

Stealth boast here My arse is bigger than yours Xmas Grin

CrazyBaubles · 24/10/2019 21:50

flouncy & MrsMad unfortunately a Jag isn't my thing. I'm my dream life (when I've won the lottery) I'd have a classic mini, a 4x4 (Discovery / slightly older Defender), a Morgan plus 8 / roadster and something sporty like an Audi R8.
For now I'll stick to my mini though Xmas Grin

Wreck hopefully they'll take pity on you tomorrow? Try a hot toddy, paracetamol and early night tonight, and paracetamol, toast and water tomorrow.

Fluffy I may copy your snowdog cross stitch and buy one to do as a present for my friend. She cross stitches a lot and she mentioned she makes them for others but no ones ever made the effort to make one for her.

Neros I love an Aston but it's DHs favourite car therefore I wouldn't need to buy one, I'd just steal his as if
Sorry that you're ill too, that sucks.

MrsMad please post a pic of your project, no judgement here!

I'm just home from going to dsis for tea (my parents came too).
Was lovely to see everyone but I'm exhausted now!
My mum gave me a Christmas tea towel she picked up today, I love it (pic attached).

Mrsmadevans · 24/10/2019 22:00

Got about a quarter left to do 😄💖

NoWordForFluffy · 24/10/2019 22:09

That's amazing, Mrs.

I've been doing my new cross stitch again. I need to finish the other one though, but it's hassle swapping the ring over. It'll have to wait until I need to swap position!

I love the tea towel, Crazy.

Sorry you're unwell, Neros. I hope the soup did the trick.

I'm in awe of the crafters on here! I am very much a dabbler in many different things with a horrific stash of wool and fabric that will outlive me (much was inherited from DG - also a hoarder)
We are going away for half term tomorrow - I'm taking DS1's many cub badges as I must sew not glue gun them on before Remembrance Day parade Blush We are away with friends who will also shame me

Morning!

It's meant to be very wet here today and tomorrow. Joy! Means I'll get wet at the allotment tomorrow.

I hope the ill people are all recovering.

Good luck today, Wreck!

I have to say that sometimes my cross stitch backs have untidy areas. Normally where there's a stupid knot in the thread. I do try to stitch all my loose bits in though! I'm not a purest, however, as long as it's done (and I'm getting better!).

Morning. Thanks everyone. I'm not quite as bad today and managed to only need to blow my nose 11 times in the night. I look awful though Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 25/10/2019 07:07

Dose up on ALL the drugs and battle through. 😁

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 25/10/2019 07:20

I don't have any drugs! Not for colds. I do have some propranolol I might take to ease the nerves and paracetamol. Ah well it is what it is it's all down to who I'm up against really, hopefully no one good Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 25/10/2019 07:41

Paracetamol is for colds! Takes the edge off the symptoms. It's what GPs prescribe for small people with viral infections!

Morning everyone 😀
Am feeling better this morning but DH has driven me to rage overnight. He is coughing and snorting all the time . I snapped and said 'blow your fin nose ffs' l never swear but he drove me mental. He had the Cheek to tell me l snort as well. I can hand on heart tell you l don't snort ever ! l blow my snout all the time and dispose of my tissues and wash my hands. He knew he was onto a loser then 😂. I had the 'poor me ' behaviour then 🙄
I don't mind him coughing or sneezing or blowing his nose 🤧 but snorting and grunting is OUT! And breathe through said snout 😄

Mrsmadevans · 25/10/2019 08:53

Small msgs bloody mobile is pita l lose everything 🤪
Anyway Wreck l am wishing you all the luck in the world for your interview my dear 🌟🍀🤞it is yours for the taking 🌟

Mrsmadevans · 25/10/2019 09:07

Wreck hope you feel better and better as the day goes on🤗
Fanny my arse is defo most Massive the back of my tapestry is horrendous. I will not be trying to tidy it up 😄 some days l feel like chucking it out but l can't do that because of my Mil bless her 💓
Chocolate, get sewing those badges on for that poor darling son, fancy using a glue gun, that's disgusting call yourself a mother 😂
l am such a hypocrite I used wonder web, this was before the Advent of glue guns , marvelous stuff 😋
Fluffy it's going to be terrible weather here this afternoon and tomorrow. I bet there will be flash floods 😳. You got good wet weather gear l am sure though and at least the ground will be soft going . It's mild out too. I had to open the window in the night. DH complained 🙄, he said 'I am chilled to my bones' . I took no notice , it was my revenge for the snorting 😄
Have a great day today everyone, thinking of you Wreck , everything crossed 🤗🌟🤞🍀
