Have reported the spammer

Are you referring to me? It was a post about whisky and lemon, a.k.a. a hot toddy, which is used as a treatment for a nasty cough or cold. Entirely on topic though I may have been slightly tipsy when I posted.

NoWordForFluffy · 22/10/2019 17:08

Tipsy on a school night?!

I'm exhausted today. I've worked my bloody socks off to try to get on top of stuff. So much more to do though!

Tipsy on a school night?!

I only had one, following the instructions on the Internet, but I'm usually teetotal and it definitely had a pretty strong impact! Also, I didn't know how much whisky to put in- the internet said half and half hot water to whisky, but I used a mug, so in retrospect that may have been too much whisky... 🤷

NoWordForFluffy · 22/10/2019 17:44

Slightly more than a single measure then! As long as it did the trick. 🤣

Flouncy I felt very fuzzy and warm and very relaxed about everything. It was lovely, really. Probably shouldn't make a habit of it though!

RolytheRhino · 22/10/2019 19:13

Slightly more than a single measure then!

Blush I take it that's not the recommended amount then? In my defense, I'd never had whisky before. Quite an enjoyable experience though, on the whole!

Evening everyone 😄
Fanny l will raise you a cottage pie, a Spag bol and. Chilli . Followed by cleaning of the kitchen cabinets and the kitchen floor. I also collected the prescriptions and got them from WR🤪, wrapped and delivered a present and card to a little one and sorted some presents for Christmas out 😄. I have been sneezing and coughing like hell nose is running but l kept going. Brave me 😂😂😂🤧👃.DH also had a slight AFib attack so he has been resting all afternoon after taking his pill in the pocket , l have had stern words with him to get to the Dr for a referral to the cardiologist . He is fine now though 😊
I love cats but l don't miss the spewing or the fleas or the turning up of their noses to any food l buy them 🙄😁
That is very kind of you to offer to send Crazy a nice colour for Rob 💐

Mrsmadevans · 22/10/2019 19:56

NoWordForFluffy · 22/10/2019 20:16

Mrs, I agree that your DH needs the referral. His attacks seem to be getting more frequent. Get him to the GP forthwith!

We've just had apple crumble with custard. Food of the gods, I tell you!

Agreed Fluffy - also treacle sponge & custard, which we had after our roast on Sunday. I’m still thinking about it.. Blush Grin

I bought DD’s Christmas dress off EBay today, it’s a lovely pink Boden one with a pretty festive pattern. Despite being a huge lover of Christmas, I’ve started to realise that buying the DC festive clothing that they wear a maximum of 4-5 times is silly, a waste of money, and not brilliant for the planet. So preloved it is. I’m not totally sanctimonious, I have bought their annual red tartan PJs, but as they’re only worn to bed they do get plenty of wear.

Back to my tub of Heroes that I “bought for Christmas”. I never learn!

Agree totally. I buy most of DD's clothes preloved. No sense harming the planet by buying new all the time, particularly when they're outgrown in ten seconds flat.

WreckTangled · 22/10/2019 21:33

I always get my DC's festive clothes from ebay. And other bits too but often H&M is cheaper than ebay and I'm poor so have to think about that too Grin although dd only likes Zara, river island a boden at the moment apparently HmmGrin

Morning!

Very chilly today. The stars were out as I was hanging the washing out! Brrrrr!

I buy Christmas clothes in the Next sale. It's about the same price as eBay once postage fees are taken into account! I then sell them on afterwards on Facebook.

So much work to do today. I think I've got to take some off my assistant which I've not really got time for. Frustrating really!

Oh, forgot to show you my cross stitch progress. It's almost done and I need to crack on now as I've at least 2 more to do!

It's a pattern within a kit, so came with all the thread, but it's not printed on the material or anything. It's not done. I reckon one more night maybe.

I do keep the patterns in case I want to do them again though!

I have train reading. Exciting!
