Thread 5 - The Mumsnet bargain thread - spreading the squeaky clean, ethical love!

Reastie · 28/09/2019 08:29

So it’s not a thread all about ethical stuff (good grief there’s a lot of plastic tat that’s been purchased by me from these threads over the years) but with our current obsession with soap bars and shampoo bars and then I think it was fireflygirl who did the quote and it tickled me.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

AuchAyeTheNo · 28/09/2019 13:49

Smiggle** sorry. The excitement got the better of me

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 28/09/2019 13:49

I've just had a £1.01 refund confirmation for the finger puppets Hmm

Someaddedsugar · 28/09/2019 13:51

@PinkDaydreams I've just given it a try and they don't stack. It appears the site overwrites whichever is the greater of the two discounts to give you the most off. I've just checked though and you can refer a friend to get 10% off their next order and you'll get another £5 credit.

Whatsername7 · 28/09/2019 13:56

Yeah the in store one. Wondering if they will do an online event nearer Christmas? I also found a moon night light/lamp for dd2 on Amazon on sale for £8.49. Dd2 is 2.5 and obsessed with the moon. She will probably be over her obsession by Christmas, knowing my luck! Looking out for a lava lamp for dd8 now.

Anyone considering the lunch box/tasty sets of eyeshadow on revolution website -mine arrived today and are BEAUTIFUL. After becoming addicted to revolution sales from this thread last earlier version I saw these were buy some get some free. The eyeshadow boxes are beautifully decorated and look so extravagant.
You get sent great codes from revolution too if you order stuff. I’m thrilled with mine.

bettyskitchen · 28/09/2019 14:02

@Ftumch is that code for this months box only? I couldn’t get the discount code to work.

Im after a code ahead of a quarterly subscription for my parents to start from January.

Saw some lovely things in the smiggle sale but don't want to pay delivery.

Someaddedsugar · 28/09/2019 14:35

Are there such things as Numberblocks toys does anyone know? I've searched on Amazon but it isn't coming up with anything other than the annual.

Bluewavescrashing · 28/09/2019 14:37

I've been to Smyths today but in my defence the DCs were spending pocket money from grandparents so not actually my money! Good time to go as we paid for both their already reduced lego sets together, and as it was over £50, got £10 off. I'm hoping the building will give me a peaceful afternoon. £10 off a £50 spend ends tomorrow.

Bluewavescrashing · 28/09/2019 14:38

I'd be interested in Numberblocks toys. DS5 loves them and they're so good for his maths. He can already count in 5s thanks to the fifty episode which I've had stick in my head for the last two weeks

nomorewinedayfriday · 28/09/2019 14:40

It's 20% off a £30 spend on the book people website - EXTRA30. They have lots of CBeebies toys and books - including numberblocks @Someaddedsugar

Someaddedsugar · 28/09/2019 14:45

Fantastic thank you @nomorewinedayfriday. I'll have a look on there now!

CarrotVan · 28/09/2019 14:49

Does anyone have a Grumm £5 voucher spare?

IHeartKingThistle · 28/09/2019 14:54

@carrotvan mine is gc5789rqebtsc

CarrotVan · 28/09/2019 15:07

Thanks @IHeartKingThistle sadly it doesn’t stack with the £10 shampoo bars. Still a bargain though!

NotPennysBoat · 28/09/2019 15:08

@AuchAyeTheNo thanks for the Smiggle heads up! Got loads of stocking fillers for DDs, and a few bits for the present box too - bargainous!

Grambler · 28/09/2019 15:25

PinkDaydreams How very inconsiderate Grin

Annie1290 · 28/09/2019 15:30

Muddlewitch, I can't seem to get that code to work on the Amazon smart plug. Would be perfect to start buying for DH.

Serenity25 · 28/09/2019 15:35

NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Eyeshadow Palettes for £12 instead of £16 at boots, might be useful for those with teens.
Also says if you spend £20 on selected makeup you get a free gift.
Boots

NeitherNowtNorSummat01 · 28/09/2019 15:40

Number blocks toys were on the front of the CBeebies magazine for free the other week. We missed it so I looked on eBay but they are £15 plus postage- cheeky soda charging that much for something that was free

mogtheexcellent · 28/09/2019 15:50

There a company that does a box of the numberblocks toys plus all the back magazines here

HamWater · 28/09/2019 16:01

I've used this site before to order backdated cbeebies magazines. They also have a box of numberblocks 1-10 for £10. 5minutefunshop.co.uk/search?type=product&q=NUMBERBLOCKS
