Mum is 87 and needs a lot of help. I don't know how she would manage without me and my DH tbh. I think my Brother & Sister will put her in a home and l don't know if I can do that to her tbh 🤔☹️

Mrs tbh I don't know what to say. But maybe take a bit of a step back if you don't want to cut off all contact. Would it be possible for you and your dh to do nothing for say a week and see how that goes?

I’ve planned a few activities for the winter. They’re having a bonfire with rides and stalls at the park by me, plus some pumpkin picking. I’m hoping to keep doing things even on a budget.

Wreck I love Love Actually, it’s my go to when I want to watch a Christmas film but it’s still early in the year as it still passes as a normal rom-com.

My wisdom teeth are coming through (I didn’t know they could come through later on in life but apparently they do!). My gum is really swollen where the tooth is cutting through. It’s bloody painful.

Wheelie I have a small Christmas tree and decorate it with Halloween decorations. I love it. We will go pumpkin picking next Saturday (I got confused with my dates) and then again a week or so later to get our one for Halloween night. The first ones will be made into soup. Which is very apt because it’s all I can eat with this tooth😂.

It’s 14 c here, sunny now but has been piddling it down all day.

Onthebus my wisdom tooth has broke through too. It's coming out sideways but my dentist said unless it's causing infections or I'm in a lot of pain with it, to not get it out. It would have to be done under in hospital.

Didn't get any decorations today on my search. I did however buy dd a balance bike at our local bike shop. It was £30 and they gave her a free helmet too. She can have it as her Christmas present and I'll move something I got last week to her birthday.

Flouncy I think this is why the dentist isn't referring me on. I believe he thinks the cure could be worse. It doesn't give me too much bother, just that it's coming out the side of the gum so it cuts my cheek sometimes. Que sera.

Octopus I changed dentist this year and discovered that I only have 1 wisdom tooth. My previous dentist never mentioned it and I'm ashamed to admit I can't tell one tooth from the next. I don't think I'm going to be getting any more at my age either. DD2 has suffered with her wisdom teeth this summer and Anbesol gave her a bit of relief.

MrsMad I can't say anything about your sister that hasn't already been said. Time to look after number one now.

Wreck I love Colin Firth Love Actually. DH and I saw it at the cinema when it first came out and I have watched it every year since DH is a once and done kind of guy with RomComs. 🤣

DS is at a birthday party tomorrow and apart from that we don't have anything exciting over the weekend. Uniform wash tomorrow and possibly the first roast dinner of the season on Sunday.

neros my gum is swollen at the back and I can’t eat anything. It seems to be growing normally though, so fingers crossed I don’t have to have them removed as I’ve heard it’s terrible

wooly I haven’t been to the dentist since it’s gone through so I will see what they say. But the anbesol sounds good, it’s agony and I can’t seem to get rid of the pain.

It is unbelievably cold in my house, DS is in with me to keep me warm😂. I do love winter but I’m struggling with this weather and we’re meant to have the beast from the east again this year aren’t we?

They say we'll get Snowmaggedon every year Octopus. If you haven't seen them in previous years keep an eye out in the Weather section for the annual snow watch threads usually started by OhYouBadBadKitten or GloriaSmud. They are amateur forecasters but are pretty accurate.

I don't really feel the cold but love my hot water bottle when I am feeling chilly. As long as my feet are warm I'm fine.

octopus I love that you have a Halloween tree! I've been trying to figure out rearranging my house for our trees this year for Christmas! LOL From what you explain of your teeth now it doesn't sound like an infection but keep a close eye on it!

I will gladly steal all your cool weather! We've been at 90 (32 C) for 2 weeks prior to the cold finally arriving. It's been miserable haha

fiddle If your teeth aren't causing issues I wouldn't get them out either. My removal was very traumatic and awful honestly

I meant to do a lot of stuff today. Instead of doing anything much I swept the floors, paid the lot rent, and did some dishes. I really need to work on my writing I'm doing. And my cross stitch

onthebus my friend has a similar tree. It's a white twiggy prelit one and she decorated it for spring, Easter, summer, autumn, Halloween and Christmas. I'd have one if DHs head wouldn't explode

Wisdom teeth are weird aren't they? Mine didn't start coming through until I was almost 30 and even now (5years later)only 2 are fully through 🙄

Sorry to moan but I'm somehow ill again! I seem to have been on a run of some illness or other for months and months. Now it's a cold / sort throat / headache / temp. I'm assuming DH brought it home from his class as he does the first term of every year but I'm so annoyed about it 🤬

Mrs It was horrid! Way too hot and miserable. It seems like Autumn is finally here temp wise so yay!

crazy I'm feeling pretty good really! I can still eat small snacks like cookies and stuff as long as I don't overdo it so things are nice.

Welcome back, Wheelie. There are indeed some weird people out there. And houses here are generally squished together, so it's harder to avoid them!

Poor you, Crazy. Are your vitamins levels okay? I used to be the same when I was a teenager (contact with toddler cousins, I used to help out due to my aunt's sciatica). My mum bought me every vitamin supplement around, but it worked!

My wisdom teeth are also impacted. Been through about 12-15 years. They get infected a few times a year, but not enough for the dentist to take them out. You could try Orajel or similar?

I really feel for you Mrs. I have incredibly difficult relationships with my parents and I can see myself being in a similar situation in the future. Definitely take a step back and put yourself first.
