Jingle those bells because it’s time for thread 1!

The aim of this thread is to share ideas for Christmas bargains and present ideas and a little bit of Christmas chat etc. I’ll try my best to do a post with the most popular links, if there’s anything specific you’d like me to add or if something I’ve put up doesn’t work please let me know in bold . Thank you

As usual no affiliate links (I’m still not exactly sure what they are but consensus was not to have them) and if we have any sites to post personal sign up links we’ll do this on a separate thread so all can post their links, I’ll do this when —I get around to it— soon.

Thank you coco and whitecandle. My DD is going to be redecorating her bedroom soon so a nice throw etc is a good shout.
She's already got a light box and isn't a girly girl so not really interested in make up or clothes - she's so difficult to buy for! I do like the idea of a neon sign though. Thanks for giving me food for thought!

PinkDaydreams · 19/08/2019 14:39

I’m holding out for Black Friday for the lumea as looking on ccc the £550 one was reduced to £250. Fingers crossed it’ll go that low again.

QOD · 19/08/2019 14:51

Thanks @PinkDaydreams I will too I think. I don’t know

The one on CCC was the prestige o take it

NoWordForFluffy · 19/08/2019 14:54

@MooPointCowsOpinion, I've started earlier than normal for this reason. I know not everyone will think about it, but I like to be prepared.

mummymayhem18 · 19/08/2019 15:03

@IggyAce my teenage daughter who's 13 also likes things like that. Office have some vans reduced,I have bought her a couple of pairs from there and also some Nike Air 97 which she has asked for. Tastes get more expensive as they get older 🤣. This is a couple of them. I bought the black and animal print ones.my daughter is a size 5 in Vans.

I'm quite new to MN and this thread is such a great idea! I have a couple of female relations who love Ness stuff (high quality tweed purses/handbags) and there's a sale on at the mo' on their site.... www.ness.co.uk/oulet

TellMeItsNotTrue · 19/08/2019 15:07

This game looks like it's going to be a popular Christmas gift, and it's not too expensive so I'd buy sooner rather than later. The link tells you where has it in stock/pre-order/stock expected

My first contribution so hopefully someone hasn't already mentioned it 🤞 as I only read a few pages back when I caught up with you all, and I've not had a moment to myself to read through this one yet

You're welcome for the puppets 😁, mine arrived today and I highly recommend any on the site made by The Puppet Company.
I just found a sale on Typo, loads of items for £2, light boxes, makeup bags, cosmetic boxes, cups, Harry Potter merch/FRIENDS merch. 20% of full price items if you subscribe.

Becles · 19/08/2019 16:01

Thank you

@Angelf1sh have booked a test drive, perfect as we are looking for a new car!

@wornoutboots 2x umbrella hats ordered

imsorryiasked · 19/08/2019 16:14

Pilgrim (Danish jewellery) has a great sale on - up to 70% off and 3 for 2. Prices start at about £3. Note that postage is free over £35 but a £6 processing charge is made on each order - but if you're buying say 4 items at £9 reduced from £30 and getting two more free then it's costing you £42 for £180 worth.

beagadorsrock · 19/08/2019 16:42

The Lego Christmas train is reduced a little to £5.48.

Whitecandle · 19/08/2019 17:03

2 for £15 on select toys at Argos guys.

TK Maxx are the best for stocking fillers, especially nice hand cream and soap, far better than the stuff in supermarkets and Lush and really amazing prices.

101Robin · 19/08/2019 18:32

The Book People have a sale on, although their current discount is £5 off £30 and they've definitely done better than that (they almost always have a sale on) so I'm waiting it out

Grytviken · 19/08/2019 18:58

Sorry if this has already been posted, amazon have some nice little Polly pocket sets for £2.50, lovely for stocking fillers https://www.amazon.co.uk/Polly-Pocket-GFM51-Accessories-Multicoloured/dp/B07MZDX2C1/ref=sr11_8?keywords=Polly+pocket&qid=1566237169&s=kids&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&sr=1-8 sorry about the huge link!!

Grytviken · 19/08/2019 19:00

Re my previous post about Polly Pocket, you might need to go to other sellers and it's the ones sold by Amazon prime, for the nursery set and the birthday set.

Big box of sharpies £10 in Tesco. Nice big box too

Reastie · 19/08/2019 19:40

Re the Lumea I’ve put a ccc alert on it in the hope it goes down more. Would appreciate feedback on it from those who have bought as to whether it’s worth it once you’ve tried?

OP posts:
PinkDaydreams · 19/08/2019 20:00

@Reastie I’ve seen a few different lumea threads on this site, general feedback is that it’s well worth it!

HobbyIsCodeForDogging · 19/08/2019 20:05

My Lumea is arriving tomorrow so plenty of time for me to try it and feed back before Black Friday (assuming that's when the next big drop will be). I noticed that Costco has what I think is the same one for about £349 so I guess you could take the chance of saving £50 or spending an extra £50 worst case scenario if you had to have it (or just not bother and wait for it...)

MooPointCowsOpinion · 19/08/2019 20:06

Argos sale email arrived today, they have my daughter’s number 1 present from last year down to £10 from £50 little live ladybirds

QOD · 19/08/2019 20:07

@Reastie I have one. It absolutely works I’m just fucking lazy lol

georgialondon · 19/08/2019 20:19

I've bought the same model Lumea that a pp said she purchased today. It's absolutely worth it. It really gives great results.

I got mine on offer for about £240 from Boots about 3 months ago so got loads of clubcard points too.

imsorryiasked · 19/08/2019 20:32

Thanks @MooPointCowsOpinion perfect for DGD
