2019 Christmas bargains thread 1

Reastie · 18/08/2019 07:26

Jingle those bells because it’s time for thread 1!

The aim of this thread is to share ideas for Christmas bargains and present ideas and a little bit of Christmas chat etc. I’ll try my best to do a post with the most popular links, if there’s anything specific you’d like me to add or if something I’ve put up doesn’t work please let me know in bold . Thank you

As usual no affiliate links (I’m still not exactly sure what they are but consensus was not to have them) and if we have any sites to post personal sign up links we’ll do this on a separate thread so all can post their links, I’ll do this when —I get around to it— soon.

studentvera · 23/08/2019 23:03

Hi what's the sass and belle discount please?

ImNotHappyaboutitPauline · 23/08/2019 23:08

@studentvera there's 20% off at the moment and also an outlet section on the site. Some lovely little gifts, especially for dc rooms.

101Robin · 23/08/2019 23:12

studentvera 20% off site wide, plus a 10% off code (WELCOME10) which stacks. All can be applied on outlet/clearance too.

sideorderofchips · 24/08/2019 10:55

@Mrsfussypants1 they were on amazon. Take about a month to come as are from china

TellMeItsNotTrue · 24/08/2019 11:38

One item I do know that I need to buy is the twerking llama (don't know the name) so if anyone sees that on sale then please let me know

Otherwise I need ideas for -
Footballish 8yr old boys
Men
Tween girls

I'm very interested in Harry potter and Lego as I have a few people who love each category and I'll happily buy birthday presents for next year while I see stuff, I've already bought the Lego car from the end of the prequel thread

My head/heart says thankyou for the tips so far, I've done a few big orders, but my purse says "noooooooooo" Xmas Grin managed to get a few gifts, a few stocking fillers, and some bits and pieces for shoebox appeal (our school does it via a local doctor who personally takes them to his birth country and gives them out with no strings attached, NOT operation Christmas child) ready for the 6 shoeboxes I have to fill (we do a boy box and a girl box of the same age as each of my three DC)

PepsiLola · 24/08/2019 11:48

My daughter has the twerking llama, she received it for her birthday off a relative who obviously doesn't live in our home...

I fucking hate that tweaking noisy thing

PinkDaydreams · 24/08/2019 12:04

It Christmas related but wasn’t sure where to post. Factor 50 suncream and 5 star only £1 in primark by the homeware tills. It’s a roll on in a yellow bottle. I’ve struggled to find 5 star this year as the big brands are normally only 3 stars.

rarejuicegoose · 24/08/2019 12:11

I'm after a play den for 2 year dd, I can only find cheap play tents but I wanted something quite dark. It doesn't need to be big but I really can't afford £100 that I've seen some for online

Mrsfussypants1 · 24/08/2019 12:12

Chips, Thank you. I've just ordered some, and a pair for myself too! They should arrive well in time for Christmas, they are fun.

Luxplus · 24/08/2019 12:18

Decided we will hold on ordering the playmobil school and hope it keeps the price - we get child credit from the state in October, 975£, so we always use some for dd2s birthday and Christmas, so fingers crossed... [santa]

TellMeItsNotTrue · 24/08/2019 12:23

Dust and Things have a sale on at the moment, it's personalised items, mostly wooden like chopping boards etc. It's up to 50% off and I've had items from there before and the quality has always been great

For anyone after the Harry Potter Funko Pop advent calendar, Forbidden Planet has them in store now for £39.99 - same price as Smyths, but it's preorder only there for now, and I wanted to get my hands on one early! £45 on Amazon preorder.

Duckyneedsaclean · 24/08/2019 13:44

Not sure if these have been posted yet, but -

£5 off £30 spend with lucky30 at www.thebookpeople.co.uk

25% off anything spent over £10 with TAKE25 at www.theworks.co.uk

sideorderofchips · 24/08/2019 14:08
