New month coincides with the need for a new thread!

The last one kept us going for over 2 months, so let's see how we do this time!

Afternoon! It seems to have finally stopped raining. And the forecast is mostly dry too. Wooooo!

I had a beer at lunch and I was very sleepy this afternoon.

Doggy paper is expensive, I agree, Firefly! 😂

I have had the most awful 2 days , the pain has been excruciating and l am afraid l just cried and cried , l couldn't function at all . I went to see the Physio yesterday and l just cried to her and she said 'you need to get your pain to a level where you can still have a normal life because the worst thing you can do for this is to rest it' . She made a lot of sense and l went back to the GP today to review the pain relief, He was lovely to me , he told me about his Dad dying of cancer at 61, he said he understood how l felt about Dad dying because he felt the same for his Dad , he couldn't bear the shadow of a man he had become and he was suffering so much , bless him . I felt so sorry for him because he was sad about it and reflecting on his own grief which still affected him now 18 years later. Anyway he has given me Gabapentin, Diclofenac , Paracetamol and a cream which is the most fantastic cream l have ever used called Kapsin, Fluffy it is made from Chilli peppers , would you Adam & Eve it ?
I put a pea sized amount on my lower back and it is like having a very hot heat pad stuck to your bum but you know what it is Amazing , l feel so much happier now as if there is still hope

Unfortunately I fear something may have happened with PSB , she was on another thread talking about her son and about a possible lung transplant operation because he was so poorly with his cystic fibrosis. I know several of the posters on the thread have tried to contact her on Twitter as well. I Know we all hope everything ok with her and her family.
Keep going on the diet you can do it 🤐 put a zip on it lol 😂
My poor friend is so heartbroken 💔. I feel so sorry there she worships her Mum . She sent me a picture of the bruise on her arm 😭
I know Wreck Tangled is on another thread, the frugaleers , she is still lovely. I haven't been stalking her honestly 😂.have to post this now before I lose it lol 😂

PJ my house needs a damn good clear out l am ashamed of it! Are you going to use wallpaper m'dear ? I saw a lovely book paper in Wilkos half price and l was so tempted but l can't go back to wallpaper it's too much work. You young uns can do it 😂 l am future proofing the house from now on ready for when we can't do much. I have been given a taste of what it might be like while l was in such pain and it was eye opening. All my sister thought about was that l would be able to claim benefits 🙄, l just want to be better and be able to live 😁

mrs I’m sorry to hear you’ve been in pain, but I hope these new tablets, and that magic cream work a treat!. Your friends bruise is gory, I hope she’s okay.

We’ve just had chippy dinner and I’m off for a shower. Yesterday went well, the kids kept quite entertained but we had a few tantrums.

This thread has dropped off my TIO which has confused the heck out of me because older threads are still there.

Mum's interment went well and it was lovely catching up with my siblings and some of my nieces and nephews. DD2's boyfriend dumped her by text spineless little shit last weekend so she has been a bit fragile this week. She's having her eyelashes permed tomorrow and can't get them wet for 48 hours so she's hoping that will stop her crying. DD1 is camping on a school trip this weekend so I need to make sure I change her bed tomorrow and get lots of her favourite treats in for Sunday. I already have some cider chilling ready for her return.

MrsMad you have had a time of it. Good that you have a sympathetic doctor and seem to have decent pain relief.

Fedora you deserve a medal for bravery looking after extra children DS loves having friends round and it's much easier now he's at senior school.

Firefly your DS sounds adorable. I worked at a preschool and loved all the children but particularly the chatty, charming ones.

Emrys I wish I could get everyone eating a locally produced veg box. They do them here but DH and DS aren't very adventurous when it comes to veg. They eat loads of fruit but it's carrots and peas or nothing. They both believe that onions are the work of Satan himself so I'd be wasting my money.

I've bought a couple of things mentioned on the bargain thread and I've started crocheting a few bits for Christmas.

Despite my last post this thread is still not on my TIO. Could someone check their list please.

Wooly I’ve known my neighbour for years, she actually used to babysit me when I was little because she was my next door neighbour when I lived at home. She moved when I was about 15 and then we moved into our house to find she was next door, so we’ve gone full circle. Our kids get on really well, we spend a lot of our time around each other’s houses. But very rarely on our own with all the kids, so I was terrified. It went alright though, I won’t be doing it again until they’re a little older.

Sorry to hear about your DD, he wasn’t worth it if he would end it over text anyway. I hope she feels a little more herself tomorrow after some pamper time.

I am sorry your DD2 is upset bless her it's so upsetting especially over the phone what a coward his behaviour over this makes me think he isn't such a nice BF , perhaps she is better off without him, l know it's not what she or you probably want to hear but it makes you think . Thank you MrsMad - how lovely of you to be so kind to DD2. He was very nice to her last summer and did good things boosting her self confidence but he was very unkind in the month leading up to their split. It's definitely worse with social media

Mrs, I hope the painkillers work for you, and that you can find out what the problem is and fix it so you don't need painkillers anymore. I don't take any now, which is good. You'll get there, I know you will.

What a cad your DD2's ex is, Woolly. I think that's such an awful way to end things. And yes, social media is horrible in these situations. But she will get through it, even though it's hideous now, poor thing.

I so feel for DD2 woolly, I will never forget the pain of a break up, just horrible. In time she will see that she is well rid :)

Yet more rain here today, the cats are so frustrated as they have barely been able to go outside for a week now.

We are off to Worcester today for lunch with friends. DH isn't feeling well though so I am giving him a bit of a lie in before the drive.

Major success for us here yesterday. After a year of refusing all fruit other than apples and blackberries DS demolished two bowls of strawberries last night!

We've just picked our first strawberries from the garden! There'll be loads more soon too. 🍓😁

It's grey but dry here, which is better than recently, so I'll take that.

I've got cinema with the kids and then a baby shower today. Busy!

I actually had a sleep! OMG it so helps 😄, woke at 6 and took another lot of everything and even went back to sleep until now ! That cream is called Zacin it is amazing. The Dr told me 'nerve endings love it ' they do 😂 amazing stuff. To think it is from chilli peppers is mind blowing, nature is just our saviour on times . I appreciate how important it is for us all now more than ever .
Woolly thank you so much, l hope your DD is doing ok. It's so upsetting at such a tender age , it's bad enough at any age but young love is so bittersweet. Bless her she will be ok l know you will do everything in your power to help her get over it 💯👏🤗.

I haven't dared post because you've all been having a horrible time with the weather but up until this morning we've been fine! Some cloudy days and a couple of very light showers but mostly really nice - I couldn't bring myself you tell you all that! It's now pouring down!

@Mrsmadevans I'm so glad your pain meds are making a difference it sounds like you've been having a rough time. I think you deserve a treat!

@NoWordForFluffy I love seeing your cross stitch pictures - I think you did a lovely one in the Poncetastic thread last year? What do you do with them when they are finished do they get framed?

@EmrysAtticus we've been getting a veg box for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it, local veg and I really like that we get some unusual stuff that you don't see in the Supermarkets - we got Kohlrabi this week which I had never even heard of!

I just wrote a post and it vanished. Stupid MN.

Viva, I did two at Christmas last year. They're framed and in the dining room now.

The Snowdog ones will be framed as well and they'll go in the kids' rooms after Christmas.

As for all the others I'm doing, I've no idea. We have limited wall space really! 😂😂
