New month coincides with the need for a new thread!

The last one kept us going for over 2 months, so let's see how we do this time!

Morning! It's still raining! ☔️☔️☔️ I might have to turn into a 🦆 or at least build an ark!

Yay for your physio, Mrs, that's good news. And I'm sure you'll get to wear your dress soon.

Crazy, I have 6 lavender plants at the allotment and I'm just cultivating 10 plug plants at home too. I love lavender!

Good luck with the diet; I'm sure you'll do well at it. 😁

My second day was good, Mrs, thank you. I'm getting on top of stuff a little bit!

EmrysAtticus · 12/06/2019 07:13

Keep it up crazy! It will be worth it :)

Yes definitely optimistic Mrs, I would have gone for a waterproof fleece or something Grin Great news on the physio though.

Mrsmadevans · 12/06/2019 08:43

Morning everyone 😀
I don't know why l am putting a smiley face on because I have been in awful Pain overnight and I am not ashamed to tell you that l cried last night .Fluffy l know you will recognise the hopeless way the chronic pain makes you feel 🤗. This isn't a pity party l know you don't think that about me anyways 🙄. l just wanted to let you know how l am feeling and it's nothing to do with my Dad , it's the awful constant pain making me feel so fed up 🙄
My poor friend had to take her downtrodden Mother to Acc/Em yesterday , my friend worships her Mum and yesterday was taking her for lunch , without her father, when her father became nasty and hit my Friend x 3 on the head then pushed my Friend , he then overbalanced and knocked her mum over , they couldn't get her up and had to get an ambulance. She is ok thank God but my friend is heartbroken bless her. The awful thing is he is very religious and yet he is the biggest hypocrite going . My poor friend😥. l tried to comfort her but of course it's really upset her. They kept her Mum in overnight and the Dr is going to read the riot act to her Father today 🙄 . What a huge asshole he is . Bless them both, his behaviour has been appalling their whole life. Their Mother is lovely but such a doormat bless her. Toxic families where you really wouldn't expect when you scratch the surface 🙄.

Mrsmadevans · 12/06/2019 08:51

Good to hear the job is going well Fluffy 😊 l just know they will appreciate how good you are . Excellent 👍. Rain has suspended everything here atm Emrys l don't know what it is like today with you weather wise but 20 miles down the road here it is awful 🤔
I have no hope for wearing my blue linen dress for a while 🤪
Right better go get a cuppa 😁 have a great day everyone 😀

Fedoratheexploreer · 12/06/2019 12:53

Afternoon everyone, just got DS1 from nursery and then will probably visit my mum later. The weathers thrown me off and we had plans to go for picnics but I think we’ll just get the wellies out and go exploring in the garden.

CrazyBaubles · 12/06/2019 14:19

Thank you for the support with the diet. I'm halfway through day 3 and it's hard going- I'm hoping I hit a point soon ish where it isn't so relentlessly hard!

MrsMad That's awful about your friends dad! Has he always been violent? I do hope both friend and her mum are ok.

I've been thinking we're missing a few regulars aren't we? Has anyone seen / heard from Wheels or PSB lately?

Fedoratheexploreer · 12/06/2019 18:18

Evening ladies, I haven’t been doing well at catching up lately. So whilst DH is bathing the boys I thought I’d do it.

Fluffy I think we might have a gorgeous late July-August. Last year was hot early on but became very clammy towards late July and it was unbearable. It’s still only spring until the 21st, so I’m definitely keeping hope. I’m glad you’re enjoying your new jobGrin.

Firefly ooh lovely, what butlins are you going to?. We’re going to haven in the summer, not as glamorous as butlins but very good fun nonetheless.

Crazy I hope your new diet goes well, Day 3 is still very early and your body is getting used to it. I’m sure it will get easier soon.

Mrs how awful regarding your friend, I hope she’s feeling a little better. I hope you have a better night tonight, chronic is a ball ache.

Not much has happened for us today, I took the boys to the garden and they played with the worms and the snails. My neighbour has a job interview tomorrow so I’ll be picking her little ones up from school and having them over for tea until she’s done. We’ll have a 10 year old, a 7 year old, a nearly 4 year old and two 1 year olds for the day. It’ll definitely put me off being broody that’s for sureGrin. No sign of the weather clearing up tomorrow so if any of you have any suggestions on things to do with kids of that age indoors then that would be great. Right then, I’m off to walk the animals and then will be getting an early night. Hope everyone’s well.

NoWordForFluffy · 12/06/2019 22:47

Oh Mrs, big hugs for you. I hope the physio is able to help you tomorrow.

And your poor friend and DM. What a bastard he is.

Fedora, sounds like a madhouse for you tomorrow. Rather you than me!

I've been busy doing my little Snowdog cross stitch. He's coming on quite well!

Morning! How is it still raining?! I think I have webbed feet now! 🦆🦆🦆

They keep extending how long it'll last too. My allotment will be overrun with weeds after all this!

My train is a bit warm...a bit steamy! 😂😂

Good luck with the physio, Mrs. 🍀

Good morning everyone, have been busy the past few days, have been trying to get the house in some order and it's slowly getting there, we want to decorate the livingroom and hallway this year.

Still raining here, it's quite depressing.

Fedoratheexploreer · 13/06/2019 12:34

Still raining here too and very heavily.

Fluffy you’re right about it being a madhouse, just fetched DS1 from nursery. We’re just having lunch now then DNB will bring her little girl over and some things for the kids. I’m going to go into town and get some snacks and maybe a film for us all to watch. I’m so glad I stuck at 2, I’m stressed out my head😂

EmrysAtticus · 13/06/2019 16:14

Absolutely tipping it down here and I gave to head out in a min to take DS for his haircut :(

Our first veg box arrived today as part of our aim to eat more locally. Was lovely to not have everything covered in plastic and know that none of it has travelled far.

EmrysAtticus · 13/06/2019 17:34

We survived the rain and are now cosy at home :) Hope everyone else has stayed dry! Am due back pay this month as was over taxed the last two months. Going to use it for Christmas presents. Can't wait to really get buying.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/06/2019 17:52

The rain has briefly stopped here. It's due back later, but we may have been able to get our washing dry in the intervening period! 😁

I bought the cutest top for DS at lunch time (hurrah for Apple Pay and my John Lewis card being scannable from the internet!). He was disappointed I got some shorts for DD the other day, so I thought I'd cheer him up.

Bloody hell. The sun is out! 😱😱😱

I love that Fluffy, he'll look adorable in it Grin

Have been looking at holidays, can't afford to go this year or next, but will be going in 2 years, anyone fancy looking after the dog? Grin
I don't use credit cards, I save bloody hard, so from now on any bank shifts I do I'll transfer some to my Dad, he's good with money Smile

I feel so tired, not sure if it's the weather, or the fact I was over the field drenched with the dog, although I wasn't the only loon over there!!

NoWordForFluffy · 13/06/2019 22:13

He will look cute, you're right!

Maybe I should transfer cash to your dad too, Ghekko; I could do with the help. Grin

We'll come and house sit, Ghekko; the kids love looking after other people's pets. 😂

I think the permanent gloomy/ dark weather = tiredness actually. It's hideous. We saw an hour or so of actual sun this evening. Amazing! The rain is back soon though. Sigh.

Look at little Snowdog; he's too cute!

Fluffy, love the idea of that, bearing in mind the dog does like 3 walks a day and is a little shit if she doesn't get them lol, but we have the Glebe field less than 5 minutes away, and she takes you there because she knows she is going to be running. Could be totally different in 2 years though Grin

Morning! It's drizzling again now. ☔️☔️ But the weather is meant to steadily improve from today, I think (initially as more dry than wet, then recovering to dry!).

It's the first Friday I'll have worked in over a year today! Bit odd. But work feels less stressful actually, so it's swings and roundabouts.

I'm meeting some friends at lunch time who're down from Scotland, so I'm excited about that! I've not seen them since 2017, so it's been a while!

Mrs, I hope you're OK. Flowers

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 14/06/2019 07:12

Hopefully you enjoy your Friday, Fluffy. Your lunch, if nothing else! Grin

Miserable and drizzly here too. We need to get down to the allotment and strim some more weeds but we just haven't had chance this week. Think that may be tomorrow's plan!

DS's teachers came out to meet him yesterday. He was utterly charming, and they can't wait for him to start. They tried to do mark making with him, which he attempted out of politeness then suggested they play a game 'but please let me win' 🤣 That's my boy!

FireflyGirl · 14/06/2019 07:35

Sorry, Fedora. Was posting quickly so I didn't lose my post.

It'll probably be Skegness. We're NE, and I don't travel very well by car.

NoWordForFluffy · 14/06/2019 08:12

Grin Firefly! They're obsessed with winning and being first at this age. My two still argue about getting to go first or 'winning' at something (which isn't even something which you can win at, like colouring in!).

Today should be OK; time goes fast if nothing else!

OP posts:
PJMasksGhekko · 14/06/2019 08:13

Morning, wet and miserable again here but not as bad as yesterday.

How are we 6 months into the year already and 194 days until Christmas Shock

Work later, I'm fed up doing every weekend but the enhancements make up for it, have annual leave end of the month so looking forward to having it off.

Firefly your son sounds adorable Grin

Fedoratheexploreer · 14/06/2019 11:30

Firefly ooh lovely!. I don’t have any advice, I haven’t been to butlins in years but they seem to be really pumping money into it now.

Wet and miserable here too, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to end. But the leaves are looking very green on the plus side.

FireflyGirl · 14/06/2019 13:19

I certainly think so, PJ.

He was sat on the loo yesterday morning and announced 'Grandma has doggy paper. Doggy paper is expensive.'

Apparently DMIL accidentally bought Andrex Grin

One of the papers announced a heatwave next week. I checked the BBC - it's warm, that's what will cause the thunderstorms!!

How are you doing MrsM?
