New month coincides with the need for a new thread!

The last one kept us going for over 2 months, so let's see how we do this time!

Sorry that you're going through this Mrs. I echo what the others have said, and I think that you should take a step back for a few weeks at least. Maybe they might appreciate you more when they see how much you actually do.

It’s been an absolutely gorgeous day over here, we walked to the beach and DS1 had a dip in it. My DM has come over for a BBQ now. We’re going to have a tour around a nursery for Jude tomorrow.

NoWordForFluffy · 12/05/2019 17:25

Afternoon!

It's been stunning here too; absolutely gorgeous. I caught the sun a bit at the allotment. ☀️☀️☀️

It's been a busy day: wetlands, home to make banana and choc chip muffins (the kids' after-school snack) and cup cakes, then 2 hours at the allotment to get my leeks in and do some watering and weeding. I'm tired now!

The allotment is looking good though. I've only one more section which really needs weeding now. Thank god! 😂😂

I got rather grubby, despite taking something to kneel on, which is about right!

Your allotment is looking great!!!. I’ve been trying to convince DH that we need a veg patch in the garden but it’s been useless, I’ll just crack on with it myself whilst he’s at work. Loving the grubby knees, that shows you’ve put proper graft in. We’re just getting ready to bath DC and put them to bed, the sun has made me proper tired

Mrsmadevans · 12/05/2019 20:09

Evening everyone Smile
First l have to thank you all for the wonderful support you show me every time l post in a state you are such a tremendous support thank you all so much Flowers
The latest is , l took her breakfast up and she was very glad l hadn't gone. She has agreed to me going back to how things were before , ie no nights from me , just mornings like my sister and she will just have 3 nights a week sleepover . I explained l wasn't after her money , l just wanted justice from my siblings and there was no other way l could see to get it. I am mightily relieved to stop doing the nights . I hated it because l can't sleep there at all. Mum is a terrible snorer and l can hear her downstairs even. I snore and my DH but she is something else ! Grin. I am not under any illusion that me doing exactly the same hours, give or take as my sister, is going to be popular with the siblings but at least l will stop feeling so bad and downtrodden. In truth l think me having a huge row with Mum and her thinking l had gone for good has done her good. She said to me 'l was thinking how would l do my shopping , my tablets , my appts, my teeth need doing again , when my legs are bad ' So we shall see . I offered her a button for emergencies but she didn't want it . Thank you so much . Please don't think l have capitulated because although we are 'friends' .l am not under a stupid idea that things will ever change l will always be the underdog and 'my sister the cleaner' but Mum said to me this morning that she knew l felt like Cinderella and to me that meant she really understood.
Fluffy your allotment is a wondrous thing to behold well done sweetie!
Rather fetching dress too , not to mention the legs whoo hooo missy! Grin she even shaves her legs, am very impressed Grin
Woolly this is what we are going to do , l think it will be much better for me and my family. There is no reason Mum cannot ring me if there is problem like you said. I think it needed to be got out into the open at last Smile
Hewont l feel bad for you having a similar situation it is truly hellish Flowers
Nero l think it may be working like you said , we shall see m'dear fingers crossed Smile
Hope everyone had a lovely day , the weather has been beautiful and l feel so much better thank you all so much Flowers Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 12/05/2019 20:21

As long as the solution works for you, that's what's important, Mrs. It's when they're taking the piss that it's not right or fair.

The dress is Boden and I love it! I don't normally garden in it, but I already had it on, and didn't bother getting changed!

The legs have to be shaved as I scratch myself to shreds in my sleep if I go beyond a day or so's stubble. 🙄

I'm almost at full capacity at the allotment now, so just maintenance until I start harvesting onions and garlic in a month or so.

Mrs Thank you for your flowers, I had a really rough childhood, and struggled to have a relationship with my parents but I’m doing better now and we have a much better relationship. You just have to do whatever is best for you.

Mrsmadevans · 12/05/2019 22:35

Fluffy it's a beautiful dress , a little bit willow pattern colours by the looks of it . I love Willow pattern Smile
I am very bad on the leg shaving front l must confess but l never get any itchiness when l do them afterwards Smile
Hewont l am glad you are having a better relationship with your parents m'dear it is so upsetting when you are experiencing difficulties with those who should love us unconditionally Smile

Morning!

It's shaping up to be another lovely day again. I think it's set to be nice for a while now.

Mrs, it's the stubble which makes me itch; it drives me loopy! And shaving isn't that long a job (unless you only have one arm!) so I just do it.

I'm a touch tired today actually, but I'm sure my stroll to the station will wake me up.

Morning everyone 😀
Fluffy hope you have a good day at work. I meant to ask you if you will have Windows in your new job. I don't think it is a good thing for us to work without natural lighting of some sort. I have not heard anything about it but it seems really bad for the soul to me . It is a real phobia to me 🤔, hope you do have them 😊
Am off to Mum's now, we are going to Tenby on Wednesday and l can't wait to go back to a normal life . We will see how it goes 😁, have a great day everyone 😀

hewontstopshitting · 13/05/2019 13:21

Afternoon ladies. I’ve had a horrible night, rushed DS1 to A&E last night as he wasn’t breathing and we’ve found out he has asthma. They’ve kept us in over night to monitor him and we should be allowed to go home soon but he’s so upset. It’s such a shock because neither me or DH have it so we never expected our DC to. Replies might be a little sparse for a couple of weeks whilst we get to grips with everything. I hope you’re all doing well.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/05/2019 13:34

I'm sorry to hear that, Wontstop. I hope he has it controlled soon.

Mrs, I bloody hope there's windows! I actually cited lack of windows as an issue in the exit questionnaire I was sent. 😁

Tenby should be lovely in good weather!

OP posts:
hewontstopshitting · 13/05/2019 14:15

Thank you Fluffy he is doing fine now, he’s playing with DH. I’m still in shock, he hasn’t had anything worse than a stomach bug so seeing him like this was so horrible. I just keep going over the what if’s. DH thinks I need to move on now because we can’t changed what happened but I just want to cry. I’m so glad I have this thread to come back to.

CrazyBaubles · 13/05/2019 19:39

MrsMad I'm so sorry you had a row with your mam but hopefully she's learning you're not to be taken advantage of!

Just thinking about yours and Fluffys comments on windows. I actively move away from them in work - the sun glaring on a screen is horrendous for triggering migraines for me so I choose to work elsewhere - although I work in a few different places and one office has external and internal Windows. I love sitting next to the internal ones - the offices are bright and the external windows are huge but I get to see people in meetings / walking around the building - so much better!

hewont I hope the asthma is brought under control quickly (not the same but DH was diagnosed about 3 years ago when it suddenly kicked off while he was hiking! Luckily his friend handed over his inhaler to try and it helped - took a very short time to get it controlled though).

I think it's ok for you to be in shock for now, just try and distract yourself as best you can 💐

The nice weather has kicked off my hay fever so I look awful - red, watery eyes and a scratchy throat 🤧😷
I had a random bout of festive feeling yesterday and crocheted this though... Xmas Grin

hewontstopshitting · 13/05/2019 23:58

Thank you Crazy☺️. We went home earlier and everything-touch Wood-seems fo be going okay. He has an appointment with the doctor in a couple of days to check him over and make sure he’s improving and he now has an inhaler. But he’s doing great, it hasn’t phased him at all. He’s in with us tonight and I won’t get much sleep, but I’m feeling a little bit better. It was just incredibly awful to watch him in pain.

NoWordForFluffy · 14/05/2019 06:22

Morning!

Crazy, we have literally NO windows. It's a cave. There are internal ones but the people in the office on the other side keep them closed (even though they don't need to and have been told not to). I get headaches from the internal lighting! I don't want to sit right next to a window either though, as I'd have a similar problem to you! #fussy

It's going to be another gorgeous day today. I'll have to go to the allotment to do some watering later, I think.

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 14/05/2019 08:12

We're lucky Fluffy, all our offices have lots of external windows and glass so the daylight gets everywhere - there are only a few dark corners / offices in each on (and I know where they are as I target them when I can feel a migraine coming)!

It looks lovely and ☀️ here too so I'll go for a walk on lunch (as I can't go out later, I'm helping my parents with a few bits as DF is still struggling to move around)

CishAndFips · 14/05/2019 17:55

Evening all. Im hiding in the garden DCs behaviour has been awful since school pick up. On a positive note we all survived my few days of solo parenting Grin.

Its back to work for me tomorrow and i actually cant wait to escape back to normality for a few hours. Cupboards are bare until i can go shopping on Thursday so its takeaway for tea tomorrow night. I might even treat DD and I to a cafe breakfast when we go shopping.

CrazyBaubles · 14/05/2019 19:17

I am 😡🤬 right now - Work was rubbish as the systems are playing up and my bug has landed fully now, I have no voice, a cough, crackly chest and temp on top of poxy hay fever and all I've been dreaming of is a bath with bath salts and some Vicks.
Got home and there is some issue with the water - pressure is all over the place - switching from dribbling to squirting everywhere - and it's bloody brown.
So we have nothing to drink (as usually drink squash), and I can't do washing or have a bath 🤬

I hope everyone else's day is going better than mine!

NoWordForFluffy · 14/05/2019 21:02

God, I feel your system pain, Crazy. Ours is often totally shit.

You do sound poorly. Is it exacerbated by hayfever too?

I hope your water issue is sorted soon. That's no fun at all.

I've just been to the allotment to water everything. These very long dry spells are very concerning for veg growers!

Evening everyone Smile
Have not been able to post since yesterday because things didn't go according to plan Hmm
The plans for Mum coping on her own went well , left her at half 3 , until l had a phone call at 7 pm from Mum to say that she had the most awful diarrheoa and had several accidents in the house Envy when she tried to clean it all up she fell but managed to get to the phone to ring me . I said to Mum l will be there now and went straight up . I was only 10 mins before l got there and when l went in she had pooed everywhere. The only rooms she hadn't made a mess in was my Dad's bedroom and the conservatory Hmm .The Metformin Diabetes medication had been increased to 2 in the morning that day and she had been fine on 1 twice a day but when we upped it to 3 a day it was more than she could cope with. She is supposed to have 4 a day but we will have to just give her 2, it is all she can cope with. So l cleaned her and the house up , l showered her and got her into bed , the poor thing wasn't well and let her have a sleep while l cleaned up got her back downstairs and she was fine after, had a cuppa and some bacon sarnies and a hot chocolate. So l stayed last night and as she is fine today we will try her on her own again tonight. She had the most awful row with my sister , she asked her to come up for 10 mins 3 nights a week at bedtime to make sure she is ok before bed and l don't think she wanted to do it . She lives 10 seconds down the road , literally a stones throw .Mum stuck to her word though and shamed her into agreeing , she said it was me and mine doing everything and it wasn't fair and she wasn't allowing it to happen anymore! So l am very pleased with that because l don't mind what l do for Mum but it wasn't at all fair for me or my family. I have promised Mum if she is ever ill then l will willingly stay with her in the night and l have sorted the tablets , the heating and done everything to prepare Mum for the nights so we shall see what happens. As it is l went to a funeral to represent Mum and Dad this afternoon for her so l popped in after to see her and she was fine . Phew! Will read the thread now and reply to you all Smile hope all ok Smile

Morning! Yet another gorgeous day here. And I'm off to spend it in the bloody cave! Can't wait to leave. 😂

I hung out washing out when I got up, so it'll be dry soon. This weather is great for washing but rubbish for plants!

Hmmmm. It feels like the heating is on on this train. Unnecessary.
