Morning!

Back to normal on the trains today, for a week until it goes wonky again!

DS is still really suffering with the pox. Hopefully from today we will see improvement as it's full day 4.

I'm quite tired today for some reason, especially given I had a lazy day yesterday.

I'm glad the plastic is working, Wheelie. Good idea!

Mrs, I suppose cooking duplicate meals all the time would get very tiring. I hope you do manage to treat yourselves sometimes though.

Woolly, I could do with a bread maker. My bread isn't quite right when I do it by hand. I think my kneading isn't quite up to scratch as it doesn't rise as well as I think it should.

Morning everyone
Had a good night sleep , taking Dad to see the Consultant this afternoon , bloods first so will be a long time at the hospital we have to go 2 hours before to get the results ready for the Appt . These blood results will really tell us how he is doing , his HB level, kidney function, WCC and his platelet level , so it will be brilliant to be able to find out, so we know more where we are, you can't get anything from Dad it's like pulling teeth he says 'not too bad ' to everything and his colour is usually so poor , so he mostly looks like he is dying , l think that is the leukaemia/anaemia bless him . Fingers crossed, will post later once he is home and dry !
Wheelie hope today goes well for you sweetie , The feeding sounds as if it is going really well am so pleased for you . Dh is a good plain cook bless him , l am very lucky l know
Woolly those buns sound delish , l used to have a bread maker but it didn't taste quite right to me, used to do the pkt bread mixes and it was probably that , l should have made my own really tut tut! Lazyitis or stupiditis

Morning all. Apologies for neglecting you all. It's just been a crazy week. I got the job but had to turn it down. It involved a lot of travel which they never advertised so couldn't do it. DS caught something viral which caused his temp to keep spiking. Had to keep a close eye on him in case of febrile convulsions. DH was sick too and spent most of the week in bed. Dd had her year injections and is teething so up crying most of the night. I'm exhausted and have caught whatever is going round but need to still keep going.
Sorry for the whine.

Carol weather gives it to be a bad week here. Some snow warnings about.

Gosh, Neros. Poor you; typical it all comes at once.

It's lovely and sunny here now, but cold! It's one of my long days today which is annoying, but I've a conference with a barrister and a client today on the phone so that'll break the time up.

So just come back from the hospital and basically nothing to report, Dad's bloods are slightly worse, Hb the same, platelets down to 25 , WCC 37 , kidney function the same , she won't do anything to treat him until he gets worse but she is going to write to his Gp to suggest the Anti depressants are increased, she is going to see him every 6 weeks now . So bit MEH really ! Nevermind we had to go .
Fluffy that conference call sounds so interesting , l would love to be a fly on the wall lol !

Because of the cold they have given the trash trucks off Wednesday so our trash pick up is tomorrow instead. My dad thinks they'll probably cancel school on Wednesday too because it's going to be too cold for kids to walk to the school.

I think I'll probably take a nap before this next appointment lol

Took DD to CAMHS, dropped her at school, back home, made a cheeseburger for my lunch, picked DS2 up, had chicken korma for supper, DS2 was in bed by 5.45, DD will go at 8.15 as she's got her reading booster tomorrow. 😋🍔😋🍛😴📚

Just going to have some tea courtesy of DH again bless his long suffering heart . Omg he bought the tea in (Cheese toasties) and the bread must have been off it tasted strange . l had to chuck it out and he had to make me more. l know l should eat it no matter what, l am a right pita poor DH
Thank you Wheelie re my Dad , he is ok for now , he has to get worse to be able to be treated in any way . So you have had a busy day too m'dear , thank Goodness your stitches are out and you are on the mend and feeling much less pain

I have spent my evening getting the house straight as I left DH to it for most of last week and he struggled to juggle housework, dogs, working and then planning / marking at home and looking after me. I have to do it today as I'm doing overtime for the next few days.

I'm done now though so going to settle down with last weeks Silent Witness (MrsMad I couldn't stand to watch them one at a time - I wait until both parts are on I player or I forget who did what 🙄)

You can use cross stitch. I'd probably add backing fabric and then sew that onto a cushion cover to protect the stitching.

I've been given permission to start / finish 15 minutes' earlier for the next 3 weeks when the trains go wonky again. I'm going to have to get the bus instead, and trek two miles from the centre to work. I hope the weather is kind to me! Thank god I only do 4 days.

DS has gone to sleep in his own bed tonight Phew. He was very hot and sweaty last night, as was I being leaned against! His spots are scabbing over a bit now, so he's on the mend. DD seems better in herself too, so she's shaken the pox hangover / tiredness it seems.

Just had to go out and get stuff for packed lunches as the school's gas supply still hasn't been fixed.

Cray I'm home from counseling! It's raining and not icy yet but tonight the temp is dropping. Our Wind Chill Warning says:

I've upped my feeding rate to 35 ml. I'm tolerating it well I think. Tomorrow I'll go up to 40! That's the halfway point on my goal!

It is now windy and very very cold here. The roads have totally iced over. We can see the wind moving the plastic and I'm very grateful for that plastic because all that wind would be inside!

It's 10 degrees outside F which is -12 C. Too cold. Tomorrow I'm putting a shelter outside with straw in it for any stray cats that might need a warm place to sleep poor loves.

DS joined us at about midnight last night, so our comfort levels dropped at that point! 😂

He's scabbing over nicely now, so should be back at school on Friday, then he'll have the weekend to rest before the full week next week.

Telephone conferences aren't that exciting, Mrs. Though mine yesterday was about the value of the claim, not liability pre-trial, which they usually are, so made a nice change!

I really need to start on the cross stitch I'm doing for mum for Mother's Day soon. I need to get motivated.

It's cold here today and set to snow this week, apparently. I foresee more train chaos!

Morning all sorry I haven't caught up. I had a random vomiting attack on the way home from work yesterday and was in bed for 7.30. Just back from the school run and DS'S head teacher wants a meeting at 12. I'm really not looking forward to it. I feel like I spend more time at school than DS does. I'm running the homework café after school too so busy day here. I hope everyone has a lovely day.

Just spoken to Mum , Dad slipped off the bed last night and landed on his bottom. He was ok but ..... She had a job getting him back up bless her. I told her to ring us at any time but they are a law unto themselves. They are ok just another thing to worry about 🙄😪. Sister is doing them today and tomorrow, we have been forecast Snow and bad ice , as they live down the road from them and in case of snow she will sort them out , makes sense. So we will just have to monitor the situation as per 🤔
Crazy l usually watch them both together but as they follow on over 2 nights it isn't so bad 😃, glad you have managed to get the house sorted and get back to some semblance of normality sweetie 💐

Wheelie excellent progress m'dear! 🤩💐, We have a little box outside for any animal that needs shelter too 😀 thanks for your support for Dad , we are doing everything we can and it is just a matter of time l fear , yet we must make sure he is as happy as possible and comfortable as can be expected. Don't worry he will get the very best of care , l am on it 🤗 wrap up warm and safe, keep inside , sounds like the best option for me too lol 😀
