Here we go, brand spanking new thread.

If you could finish the old one off first, that would be great!

It's 4.30am and I've got up to him about 9 times (I've put a drink in his cot but he's still called me every time) just gave him Calpol again and am sat on the floor whilst he goes back to sleep as he tells me 'he doesn't know how to do that' lol little 🙊

Hope you have had a nice evening.

Morning! No days off with a DC with ADHD. My sunrise woke me at 4.50, so of course, DS2's still asleep! Hmm

NoWordForFluffy · 27/01/2019 08:21

Morning! That was a 'fun' night with DS! He asked to go to bed at 6.15, so we duly went up. Took ages to get him off, because he was itchy (he won't take liquid medicine and was refusing a half-tablet of antihistamine). He then got up at about 9 to go to the loo, but didn't want to get into bed, so he came and cuddled on my lap downstairs. At about 9.30 he agreed to go into our bed if I stayed with him, so we did that, but he was itchy and restless until DH took him downstairs and made him have antihistamine at midnight. He had some sweets to go with, which meant he was willing! But he did then sleep until 7.40, so that's something.

Oh Special, what a nightmare. Ours were both in beds by that age which made it easier to get in with DS, which I still do! We have a similar age gap with ours, but they're 5 and 4, with 13 months between them. DS is the youngest.

Poor DS for you too, Notting (the boys are causing trouble this week!). I hope he's better soon. You just need to bleach everywhere he's been, I think. we've only had one sickness bug in the house since the kids were born and DS missed it. It's awful though, your poor baby (always our babies even when they're six foot!).

Mrs, I've not heard 'up the wooden hill' since I was little. I love that phrase!

Bloody windy here. Washing will dry quickly! 😂

Sunny & cold here Fluffy hope your washing dried 😃

CishAndFips · 27/01/2019 09:19

Good morning everyone. fluffy poor DS I hope he's feeling better soon. wheelchair I can't wait to buy some new Christmas decorations. Sorry to hear your cold and in pain I hope today is better for you. Notting poor thing I hope he gets over it quickly and DD avoids it completely. philomena your lunch sounds lovely.
SpecialGrin I read that as shopping for boys presents and was all prepared to tell you that I got DS (age 9) who is becoming rather brand conscious a pack of original penguin socks he will be delighted with for £3 from tkmaxx and an aftershave from zara. Overall though yes I got some lovely bits and was rather pleased. I'm looking forward to next months trip already. I'm glad DS is better, sorry to hear DD is poorly though.
mrsmad I hope you had a lovely relaxing evening and a good night's sleep.
Headache free this morning yay. DH off to work shortly the DS and I are going bowling.

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/01/2019 09:52

All awake now, DS2's on WiFi, DD's drawing. 😆

NottingPhil · 27/01/2019 10:43

Special DS will be 3 in March, I’m not looking forward to it at all. Wish he could stay little forever. I’m glad your DS is feeling better it’s horrible when they aren’t well. I’m sorry your DD seems to be getting ill now though.

Fluffy I’m sorry you didn’t get much sleep last night, your poor DS!. We never had bugs and then we started going to playgroup and now it’s like one every week, so far our DD hasn’t seemed to get any.

Thank you all for your well wishes for Alfie. He’s still not himself, although who would be after a night of chucking your guts up. He’s asleep now and he’s managed to keep down some dry cereal. I’m gonna make a Sunday lunch so hopefully it’ll be packed full of goodness for him, even if he can only keep a bit down. I’ve changed all the bedding and put out mattress in his room for tonight. MIL was meant to come over but doesn’t want to go near Alf because of the germs, so DH is taking DD out to meet her at a cafe nearby. So it seems like it will be a day of Fireman Sam and poorly cuddles for us two.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/01/2019 11:08

The sun has come out here too now. And it's still windy!

We've been baking and have made gingerbread men (and other shapes!) and cupcakes. I'm just melting chocolate to dip the gingerbread men into and we'll be icing / sprinkling the cakes once cooled.

At least Alfie has eaten, Notting. That will help his recovery.

DS is very grumpy. But then I'd be grumpy if I had chicken pox spots where he has them too!

Making a chicken, ham hock, leek and tarragon pie for lunch. 😋🍗

NottingPhil · 27/01/2019 14:36

Fluffy They look so tasty, I always try and make and cook nice meals but I just wasn’t blessed in that department. DH does most of it instead. He’s doing a little better now, still been sick a lot and we’ve had to change his nappy more often than usual. I’m sorry your LO is grumpy, I can’t imagine it’s very fun for him.

NottingPhil · 27/01/2019 14:37

Philomena That sounds delicious! I love anything with leek in it.

WheelchairWoes · 27/01/2019 16:02

Fluffy I'm sorry your son had a rough night. Glad the sun came out for you guys! It's out here too and it's so nice! I feel like a kitty laying in the sunshine haha

Your baking looks fabulous!! I would love to bite into some of those!

PSB That sounds delicious!

Mrs I slept really well! I'm feeling pretty perky today and loving the sunshine lol

Notting I'm sorry your son is still having a rough go of it. Let him sleep as much as he can. That will help him get over it

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/01/2019 17:54

Had Brazilian lime and peanut chicken curry for supper. 😋🍛

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/01/2019 19:18

DS2 was in bed by 6.30. 😴

WheelchairWoes · 27/01/2019 19:47

Wow Psb Early bedtime! Have you heard from DS1 lately? Is he doing well?

It's about 3 pm here soon and I've increased my feeds to 30 ml! Lets see how this goes :)

The plastic on the windows seems to be keeping my house from heating up to 79 degrees in the sun. This is very good news because in the summer it should help keep my house cool!

Mrsmadevans · 27/01/2019 20:08

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/01/2019 20:30

DD will go to bed at 9. 😴

I don't tend to hear from him, my mum keeps me updated. He seems to be eating OK, and he's always good about doing his home IVs, which I'm pleased about, as he doesn't look after himself healthwise in other ways.

CrazyBaubles · 27/01/2019 22:23

What a busy and emotional weekend. I've spent most of it with my cousin going over funeral plans / paperwork and looking at old photos. Because my auntie knew how sick she was, she told us what she wanted however, because of the pain / drugs she was on, some of the requests were a bit muddled so it's taken us a while to figure out what song she meant etc.

I have not done anything for Rudolph day however, I plan to choose a pattern for my Christmas cushions this week so I can make a start on them soon. I'm thinking of something like the pics I've posted (screenshot from Pinterest)

I have caught up as best I can and will be around more often from now. Thank you all again for your good wishes and condolences - you've been a lot more understanding than some of my 'friends' and it's meant a lot Thanks

Crazy ahhh m'dear , it's bittersweet going through the pictures and then the memories flood back Flowers .l am sure you were a great comfort to your Darling Aunt and your Cousins and your Mum bless you Smile
On a different note completely , l am loving your proposed craft projects , every single one of them !
Hope the funeral plans go as well as they possibly can and that you stay well and able to cope with everything.
Hugs galore m'dear Smile

TheWoollybacksWife · 27/01/2019 23:00

Oh I love that snowflake cushion Crazy. I'm adding that to my list too.

I made dough for iced buns in my bread maker today. They were delicious if a little rustic looking.

WheelchairWoes · 27/01/2019 23:48

Mrs Your dh sounds like a fabulous cook! Wow!

I hope you have a fabulous nights sleep tonight!

Psb I'm glad he's at least looking after himself in some ways!

crazy I love those pillows! That snowflake one is fabulous. I definitely understand the bittersweet feeling of going through photos and I'm thinking of you and your family.

Woolly Oh iced buns smell amazing when cooking. I need to get me a bread maker lol.

I might be MIA a bit tomorrow folks. I have an early appointment to get my stitches out around my tube and then I go to see my counselor at 2pm. I'm probably going to cry to her a bit because this whole tube situation has been kind of rough.

My kid and I are playing Kirby's Epic Yarn and eating ice cream right now. It's 6:45 PM and husband has been at work since 4 pm. He'll get off at 9.

It looks like tonight I'll have completely finished 1 entire carton of my formula and part of another! I'm slowly getting there. Eventually I'll be putting 4 of them in my tube a day. I'm kind of worried to get to my appointments tomorrow as I'll be hooked up to my feeds and I need to take a water bottle and a syringe with me in case I need to unhook and stuff. This will be my first time out of the house save for the ER since I got my tube!

On Wednesday our windchill is going to be -41 F which is -40 C and honestly I probably will not be leaving the house the rest of the week
