I've done another couple of hours at the allotment, clearing the bank of weeds and putting 12 bare root shrubs in, plus a bonus 13th stick with no identifying label!

I've started our beef rendang for dinner and left DH with it to mind.

We put plastic on the windows today to try and help with the chill! You put it on with sticky tape and then use a hair dryer to make it tight against the window. It should help against cold AND heat in the summer

NottingPhil I'm in Midwest USA. We are dealing with an Arctic front they push through periodically and freeze us good.

Been busy as usual , parents showered and changed their beds , Dad's pressure area is much much better just a tiny, tiny area now so that is brilliant . DH cooked them a lovely lunch and tea , lamb steaks, spring cabbage , mash , gravy, mint sauce and apple crumble and custard for afters and a Mackerel salad for tea , he is a good un .l don't know what l would do without him .
Care package is coming along just sending off a lot of forms and paperwork now and it should be up and running in a month to 6 weeks hopefully . It will enable us to get someone when we take Mum to leg club / hospital /Drs /shopping and dancing club for someone to stay with Dad when Mum isn't there . So it will be a great help for us.

Picked DS2 up, DD had her maths booster and got home at 4.40, had veggie lasagne with garlic pizza bread for supper, DS2's in bed, DD will go at 8.45. 📒😋😴

DS drank during the night and has been a lot brighter today, still can’t keep any food down but I’m happy he’s been a little more like himself today.

Wheelie , l know! l am amazed at Dad's PArea it is so much better and he is better mentally too, very frail but seemingly happier today ....hopefully the Anti D's are kicking in . Do you know out of every illness he has ever had and still has, this depression has been the very worst of all. It is just so soul destroying, bless anyone who is going through depression, it stinks ! Hope the window film works and you are more toasty . l get how you feel the cold, my poor Dad has been awfully cold the past 2 months , it's the combo of anaemia, low fat stores, lost weight, depression, inactivity and not eating much and it being freezing outside of course as if that on it's own isn't enough! I love the necklace too , it was reduced to £7 which is about $9 l think Fancy you and Special both being in the Midwest!
Special, l am always doing that with my phone it is a right pain!

mrs Depression is a horrible horrible thing. It really is I think one of the worst things ever!

And yes! Being sedentary makes it very very hard to get warm! So far the film seems to be helping and we haven't even covered all the windows yet! The real test will be tonight when the sun goes down lol

Wheelchair That would be my dream, DH keeps shouting at me for buying blankets. The DC have hundreds as do I. I can never get warm and they help me feel cosy

Work is hectic. I’m working solo in a job that should be two people but no one seems to be in a hurry to employ a senior for me apart from my head of department!

Health has taken a hit over it all so I’m very tired all the time.

NottingPhil We go to flea markets and 'rescue' vintage quilts and afghans. My husband doesn't complain then because I tell him we are saving someone's hard work lmao
