Here we go, brand spanking new thread.

If you could finish the old one off first, that would be great!

We do have wild animal rescue centres, both younger DC have adopted animals from Tiggywinkle's, DD has adopted a red kite called William Rufus, DS2 has adopted a white badger called Christmas.

The fox seemed to be getting around OK on 3 legs, so I think he'll be fine.

Morning!

I've been busy today! School run, Aldi and butchers on way back. Left bank card in Aldi so DH fetched it for me! 🙈Blush

Then walked into town, weng to various shops, then half walked home as I summoned DH to assist!

Off to the allotment after a drink and an apple. Then school run again! 😁

Mrs The book people are great. I got my dc a lot from there at Christmas. Far too much actually as they each got 25 books each. At the time there was 10 for £10 offer on them.

Fluffy you should be taking it easy.

PSB normally I envy your breakfasts, but beans on a fry is a no no 😂

Went shopping this morning for some pjs for dd. We have somehow lost about 4 pairs somewhere. This afternoon I was going to make a Thai green curry for dinner but I'm not in the mood for it now so it'll probably just be a pizza and garlic bread.

Mrsmadevans · 15/02/2019 15:59

Afternoon!

I've met myself coming back today. Just been to the GP for painkillers as my shoulder really hurts. I've got short term codeine to tide me over, just until the op.

I got loads of digging done plus put some spring bulbs in that I hadn't realised I had. Might be too late, but we shall see. More snowdrops have come out now and loads more plants are coming through. It'll be lovely in a few weeks!

I'm tired today. Can't wait to have time off after my surgery. Catch up on sleep!

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 15/02/2019 19:43

Ahhh Fluffy you work so hard l know , glad you had a good day and went to the GP for better pain relief. I don't know if you have tried Voltarol gel as well? I find it good for my sciatica. Trouble with Co Codamol and Codeine based medication is it makes me so sleepy . l don't know if you find this too. It is necessary for you to be able to function until the surgery l know it is really painful for you . Won't be long thankfully Smile

Mrsmadevans · 15/02/2019 19:46

You will never guess what! MN have sorted out the problems with Google chrome and l have just signed in HOORAY! about time ! Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 15/02/2019 20:40

I've got the weekend to try different doses to see how it goes, Mrs. I'll stick with what takes the edge off enough to not be miserable, which I have been over the last fortnight or so, but to maintain function! I'll take two at bedtime and 1 in the morning. Maybe 1 at lunch time. She recommended paracetamol alongside too as they work well together.

The gel I had actually burned my skin! It put me off!

It's been such a lovely spring day today. Doesn't it make everything seem that bit better? ☀️ 😊

PhilomenaButterfly · 15/02/2019 20:49

Picked DS2 up, DD had her maths booster, had Thai red chicken curry for supper, DS2 went to bed at 6.20, DD's just going now. 📒😋🍛😴

WheelchairWoes · 15/02/2019 22:19

Fluffy I can't wait to see what kind of flowers your mystery bulbs are!! I hope they are something really cool! Maybe tulips?! I hope the pain meds help you feel at least a little better!

PSB I hope DD's booster went well! Thanks for letting me know about the fox and that you have rescue centers. I'm such an animal lover I always worry!

I ended up downloading MN for my phone because of my issues getting on on my computer. I might have to break up my replies because of it and I might have more typos as a warning because of autocorrect.

Mrs I hope your mom being tired means she had a blast!! You are such a great daughter!! I hope mine are half as amazing as you

My dad ended up patching the leaking pipe with a rubber pipe clamped around it until it warms up enough to officially replace it permanently. It's doing it's job! No more scary hissing sounds!

I bought a light up tree for year round use on my bar and it arrived today! I don't have pictures yet as I'm waiting until dark to photo it! So I'll share some in a bit!

I've been working on embroidery with my embroidery machine and it's a lot easier to make tubie pads that way lol

Woolly Happy early anniversary! This year will be our 16th anniversary. We've been together 17 years though!

I'm all hooked up to my formula for the day and am working on my embroidery stuff again lol

WheelchairWoes · 16/02/2019 01:35

Here's my tree!!! I have it all green for St Patrick's Day! I need to figure out some decorations for it! :) It has 15 different colors it can turn so I can change it depending on the holiday and season!

Afternoon!

Busy old day today, as I've been sorting the garden ahead of sowing seeds etc. I've tidied the strawberry patch and done a bit of weeding too, as well as dug in the green manure and shifted the poly greenhouses round a tiny bit. I need to get the covers back on now the wind has dropped too.

I've made bread this afternoon as well. It's so nice!

I hope you've all had a lovely day.

Afternoon everyone Xmas Grin
I did post this morning off my phone but it must have gone to the ether Smile
Fluffy it's been so lovely to have the sunny warmer weather on our bones, it does lift the spirit so much l find. That is bad about the Voltarol gel burning you though because l find it really good. Won't be long now, sooner the better, chronic pain does get you down Flowers
Well done on the delicious bread and the work on the allotment too. I think another couple of weeks and the lighter nights and mornings will kick in and it will be lovely Smile hope the pain is lessened for you with this treatment m'dear Xmas Smile
Wheelie that tree is amazing ! Well done to Dad too, he is a great Dad bless him , Mum WAS tired from the dancing , thank you so much for the nice kind words they give me such comfort Smile. I am sure your DDS will be/are wonderful , the apple doesn't fall far from the tree Flowers . l don't blame you using the app on your phone. l found MN on Google Chrome was really annoying me the way it wouldn't let me sign in . I had to download Firefox and it wasn't a patch on Google . Never mind all sorted now . DH is watching the Newport County v Man City FA cup match talk about David & Goliath ! lol .
Hope it is a good game for everyone .
Am just going to have a cuppa , have a lovely Sat evening everyone Xmas Smile

PhilomenaButterfly · 16/02/2019 21:40

Went to the Sainsbury's café, I had eggs and bacon, the DC had bitesize breakfasts, they had Pukka pies for lunch, had penne bolognese bake and garlic pizza bread, DS2 was in bed by 6.50, DD was in bed by 9.15. 😋🍳🍳🍳😋🍗🍄😋😴

Mrsmadevans · 16/02/2019 22:48

Today I got a quilt in the mail! Someone nominated me to get a free quilt from Kind Quilts! They send quilts to people who are ill and it made me smile! It's such a lovely little quilt too!

I'm all hooked up to my feed. I have gained 7 lbs in a month I am now 105 lbs! YAY

Mrsmadevans · 17/02/2019 08:47

Morning everyone 😀
Off to the parents in a few minutes 🤗
Dad is so much happier bless him, he is really infirm and frail but his mood is so much better. It has been ages since he started the anti depressants over 2 months but you can see the change in him now . It's been almost overnight the improvement in him .
Wheelie , that's lovely for you to be nominated for the quilt sweetheart, l think the Woolly Hugs project here on MN is very similar . They do quilts, blankets, hats, scarves , Gloves and clothes for the children of Chernobyl and for cancer sufferers and others who are nominated. That is amazing you have gained 7 lbs !! Whoop whoop! Am so pleased for you. 😃😍
We are supposed to be having a good spell of weather for this week so bring it on 😊👍☀️🌞
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend speak LTR 😃

Morning!

105lbs! Heavier than DS1 when he's at his heaviest! Well done! He's in hospital at the moment, he's even starting to look chubby! 😆

DS2 had chocolate brioche rolls for breakfast, DD's not awake yet. 😋🍫

PhilomenaButterfly · 17/02/2019 09:16

That's right, DS1 got a Candy's Hug, nominated by MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles, who crocheted a lovely bright pink 3D rose which is in the blanket. I get all teary looking at that particular square, as it was made by the person who nominated DS1.

CrazyBaubles · 17/02/2019 09:27

Hi 👋

Sorry I dropped off the thread. Life became v busy here (my aunts funeral, I've been in a car accident and had my cute little car written off and my niece (the one who was born very prem 18months ago) has been diagnosed with CP and I've applied for a promotion)! Hopefully things will be starting to calm down now though.

Have I missed anything major? I've missed so much I haven't had chance to catch up.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/02/2019 09:52

Morning!

Sounds like a really busy time, Crazy. Are you injured after your accident? I hope you're OK. Good luck with the promotion. 🍀

My nephew has CP. His is left-sided hemiplegia. Thankfully he's able to walk, but it's really difficult for him.

Wheelie, that's great news re the weight gain! Do you have a target weight in mind?

Mrs, have a lovely day.

We're off to the squirrel woods and beach for a picnic. I then need to go to the allotment when we get back. I've got to sow parsnip seeds, but I want to re-dig where they're going first. Though I've probably got room for them where I dug on Friday. I need to assess the situation!
