I dread to think what age I'll be when I retire. Although I'm not working at the minute. The cost of childcare just meant that I'd be working for very little. I was retraining to be an accountant, but I don't think it's for me.

Mrs I understand how you feel. It's hard to be so factual with someone that you're supposed to be close with.

Miss Lilah is getting fixed tomorrow! We have to drop her off at 8:30 AM. My younger kid has an appointment with her pulmonologist/sleep doctor. She's been on her cpap machine for 6 years and it's not working right anymore. Turns out you are supposed to replace the machine every 5 years! So we'll be discussing that with her doctor tomorrow.

I saw my therapist today and it went well. Younger kid and I are watching the Kid's Baking Championship right now. I don't know HOW these super young kids can bake so well! It's amazing

Morning!

It's bus commute / jogging day today. I got one home last night too. TWO HOURS door to door. Not what I'd want to do every day, I can tell you! Back to my lift both ways Weds and Thurs though (hurrah for John!).

Our systems weren't working properly yesterday, which meant work wasn't possible for a few hours. Hopefully today will be better!

Wheelie, yay for Lilah being fixed and you having a good therapist's visit. I hope you get the CPAP sorted.

Snowdrops actively like cold weather, but everything else will follow on a bit later. Some daffs have popped out early in places though.

Been busy today with DH 63rd birthday. Had cards , cake and presents first then took him to lunch for steak and chips 😃 . Didn't buy him any presents we are no doing them anymore but is working out well 😊

Fluffy sorry your pension is not great but you got a long time to go till then and hopefully this will change for you . I do hope so m'dear . I am very conscientious of the future with my own DDs and they are really unlikely to be in a good place when they retire and it is worry . Hope the commute went well today 🤗

Commute in was good; managed to jog my two miles without dying / having to walk! Commute home is currently dire as the bus left 19 mins' late. God knows when I'll get home!

Had to go up to my Parents tonight because Mum was very sad and crying about the row with Dsis and l. My BIL called in with Dh card and presents, l answered the door, didn't speak and left him on the doorstep , walked through the hall and said to my DH 'there is someone at the door for you' and went to the toilet. I didn't exchange any pleasantries with him and after he went l was so angry. I have talked it out with my DH and l am so angry and l don't know why. I know they will never change , l am sad and l am missing them but it doesn't help when my Mum is crying on the phone to me this morning and tonight about her being upset at us not being friends. My DD1 and my DH also upset me by saying that it must have been hard for him to call here it was like a climb down . I am so cross about all this and really feel like l need anger management. I am sorry to bore you all with this rubbish see part of me now feels sorry that if he was 'climbing down ' then l have been nasty and hurt him. Even though they don't care about hurting me or anyone else, l feel like this . I think l am prob angry with myself truth be told. I am all over the place and don't know how to deal with this . Sorry to bother you with my problems l would scroll on by and ignore me if l were you

Sorry I've been AWOL - I've been getting a bit of grief myself from someone from my old church. Nothing too serious but I'm struggling a little bit after Mum and they are claiming to be concerned for me while trying to pressure me into resuming a very time consuming and emotionally draining voluntary role. So I've taken the very mature step of blocking their number. It's not helping that DH is travelling a great deal for work this month so I'm dealing with everything on my own and I've probably shut down and not been very communicative all round.

AAhh Woolly bless you my dear it must be so hard for you to be coping with grieving and your DH being away . Not to mention the upsetting pressure from A N OTHER . You did right to block the number my dear . l have learned from MN recently 'No is a complete sentence' . Thank you for DH birthday wishes and for your kind words to me it's a comfort really it is . Up early today, parents, back for hospital appt for DD2 for consultation re her wisdom teeth removal. Poor thing has hooked roots on them and need them out .
PSB thank you for DH birthday wishes very sweet of you 🤗. l am not keen on Carol the weather's dress this morning , bit plain on her . I do like the colour though 👌😊 . How is DS2 PSB, have you had the results yet? Hopefully he is much better.

Just returned from the hospital, DD2 is on waiting list for the wisdom removal yay , will be approx 6 months though but it will be fine soon be here 😀

Mrs I'm so so sorry!! The situation going on with DSIS and everyone is so stressful. I wish I had advice but I honestly don't know WHAT I would do. I've never been close to any of my siblings and see them maybe twice a year.

My Mumsnet MIGHT be fixed but I'm knocking wood because it's still a bit silly sometimes.

Woolly Don't let anyone pressure you! Grief is a wild beast and no timelime holds it in check. Blocking their number was the right idea. You have to take time for you and to grieve!

Lilah's fix went well with ZERO complications! She's home and in a kennel and pissed about it but sleeping a lot. Today the little shirt we ordered to keep her from licking her incision comes so we'll get her all dressed up safely and let her walk around the house a bit. She's very pitiful and keeps crying and it breaks my heart
