Mrsmadevans · 05/02/2019 09:16

Morning everyone Xmas Grin
Am having a lie in this morning , sister doing the parents today after the epic Opticians Appt yesterday and watching an episode of Frasier , ahhh it is fabulous. Xmas Grin The Halloween one Xmas Grin.
Cish thank you for the glasses appreciation Xmas Grin Mum was otm with hers espesh the green ones , they were such a lovely colour. You prob can't see how lovely they were . Hope the studying went really well , l don't think l could do that anymore tbh. My mind is full of useless clutter such as hospital appts, grocery list and unending to do lists Xmas Smile
PSB your DS1 that is such a horrible illness and leaves him so debilitated bless him , l hope he is as well as can be expected for a very long time . I suppose you could do what we do for my Parents but l think he would get help from the Social services and they would come in to take care of him depending on what he needed and wanted. My parents can either have 4 calls a day totalling 2 and a half hours each or we can get a PA for them who will do things like take Mum to leg club etc. We are still thinking about it, until they do the financial assessment because as with all things they have to pay towards this care and they may have to pay £80 each a week , which is very reasonable but when you are talking about 160 a week going from the household budget then it is a lot because it is almost a third off their income. We shall see. Lets hope it is a long way off for you to have to even think about this m'dear Flowers
Wheelie l am so happy for you that Lilah is ok, l bet you knew she was fine when you heard the ruckus they were making. She is looking great in these pics , you are doing really well with her Flowers
Ahh l am so glad you like the parents glasses, thank you, it is such a responsibility to have to decide which glasses look the best on them and that they like. The decision was theirs but l don't want them to regret their choice . I must stop being so silly though , it's a pr of glasses and only 6 weeks ago l was expecting Dad to not make Christmas . You are looking well m'dear keep up the brilliant work !
The temp here has gone up too now 8 c which feels lovely after minus 7 last week Xmas Grin, not swinging as madly as yours though , that must be really off the scale nuts! Xmas Grin
Fluffy brilliant to have a bit more time to get the work done , you work so hard m'dear Flowers . Your Weds Yay!
Not doing much today , bit of cleaning and tidying and a lot of chilling out l think , have a good day everyone !

Mrsmadevans · 05/02/2019 09:21

Hmm just read this back and l made a mistake 160 is more than 40% of their income , l hope the financial assessment is favourable. Oh well nothing l can do about it will just have to wait and see , fingers crossed. These things take ages though don't they it has been nearly 2 months since it went to panel and we still haven't sorted anything out ! Hmm

PhilomenaButterfly · 05/02/2019 12:28

Dropped DS2 off, picked DD up, went to CAMHS, dropped her back at school, about to have sweet potato katsu curry for lunch. 😋🍛

Mrsmadevans · 05/02/2019 16:33

Wheelie have you gotten Netflix if so then l think you would appreciate this little documentary m'dear , DD1 and l watched it just now , was a treat following the bedrooms and bathroom cleaning and washing , drying and putting away of the clothes Xmas Grin
www.netflix.com/gb/title/81005561
Hope you can see it very sweet puss cats on it !

CishAndFips · 06/02/2019 19:04

Evening all sorry ive been quite the last couple of days. Ive been busy revising for my study day. Thankfully its all over and done with now and i dont think about it for another year or two.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/02/2019 20:13

What is it you do, Cish? The only person I know who has study days is my midwife friend, but more often than that.

I've been so bloody busy today and loads more to come. I've got my operation date now, which is brilliant, so I have 4 weeks to prepare for it by doing as much as possible for the time I'm off.

Mrs, did you have a nice day?

Nero, I'm glad your DD is better now; that must be a relief.

Morning! It's Ted Rodgers Day! 😂 (You need to be old to get that reference!)

Mrs, I was referred as urgent. I think the surgeon was worried about me doing more harm due to just getting on with it! And maybe full tears are prioritised?

Our Boots has had loads left too. I've not been in since it was reduced again though. Maybe tomorrow when I'm in town.

I used to make an amazing butternut squash soup. We added loads of chilli to perk it up! 🌶 🔥😂

It's my Friday today. Wooooo!

PhilomenaButterfly · 07/02/2019 11:20

DS2's got a doctor's appointment at 3.50 today. 😆

NoWordForFluffy · 07/02/2019 17:49

How did the GP go, PB?

Does he have to walk to and from school with you when you drop DD off?

WheelchairWoes · 07/02/2019 18:05

I'm BACK! Sorry!! Mumsnet signed me off and I've been trying to remember my log in stuff! Ugh I wish they wouldn't do that lol I'm so bad at remembering passwords

Mrs I do have netflix! I'm going to watch that today! My friend does cat shows!

They are still having after Christmas sales? Wow! Everything Christmas is gone lol. Now the stores are filled with Valentine's and Easter stuff. I'm anxiously waiting for St Pat's day items lol I want a fun outfit since we're going to the parade this year

Fluffy I'm thinking about you and your operation in 4 weeks. How long will you be down for recovery? Will be be seeing a lot of you during those days?

It's been warm and rainy and we're actually having flooding now but the crazy thing is the temp is going to drop tonight and everything freeze! Also Snow due this weekend.

A few weeks ago during one of our snows? Someone in a truck came around the corner really quickly and slid into our yard. It scared me bad because I realized where we are around the corner? It would be very easy for someone to drive into our living room and kill myself and my child while drunk or driving recklessly. So my dad put a great big boulder outside right where the jerk slid into our yard. I figured at the very least it would stop the neighbors from parking in our yard again. Last night about 11 someone came around the bend and into the yard and HIT the rock! Messed up his tire! he got out of his truck and was cussing up a storm and I was just laughing because serves him right!

Fiddle I'm glad your DD is better!

Lilah is doing good! No ill effects from me hitting her. She hates hates thunder though. She goes next week on Tuesday to get spayed and I've been spoiling her because I am a worry wort mummy lol

Other than that kid.2 and I are watching Iron Man today and taking it easy.

Mrsmadevans · 07/02/2019 18:44

Grrrr damn and blast!
Have not been able to get on Mumsnet today 🤔

PhilomenaButterfly · 07/02/2019 20:09

No Fluffy, he's been drilled in what to do in various emergencies, he literally only moves to go to the loo or get a drink! 😂

Went to the doctor's, I have to take a stool sample, he said tonight that his tummy hurts when he eats sugary things, could it be a sugar intolerance?

DD had her SPAG booster, she got home at 4.40, we had cod in parsley sauce, carrots, peas and mash for supper, DS2 was in bed by 6.15, DD will go at 9.25. 😋😴
