Here we go, brand spanking new thread.

If you could finish the old one off first, that would be great!

Never heard of it before Fluffy! Xmas Grin
Tastes alright with a bit of butter spread on it Xmas Grin completely missing the point of the cake

NoWordForFluffy · 03/02/2019 21:10

It's quite a brick of a cake, isn't it?!

MrsMad Your friends poor MIL 💐 NH is a fantastic hospital so she's in the best place.

I am 🤬 at your sis. I spend ££ on my glasses because I consider them essential. How controlling to stop your mum spending her own money on something as important as glasses.

Fluffy Those cakes look lovely. It looks like a great way to spend the day!

70 I can't get over the Easter eggs everywhere already!
We don't generally do Valentines Day (usually a home cooked steak dinner and maybe a card) but this year I'm considering buying a token present as I've had such a rubbish time and DH has been really good.

I have been MIA again, sorry. I don't want to bring the thread down so I'll just say the hits just keep on coming here so we're still having a rubbish run of it.

DH is away this week too so I'll be home alone. I'm planning to Kondo some rooms because I feel overwhelmed with the amount of stuff we have here - I don't know why because I've never felt like that before.

NerosFiddle · 03/02/2019 22:17

Evening all. Sorry I've gone off radar for a while, but I had probably the worst week of my life. DD was rushed to hospital on Wednesday. She had a really high temperature that wasn't coming down, a rash, was completely out of it and she started to have rigor seizures. The poor wee mite was put on a ventilator to help her breath. It was all very traumatic to watch. Drs seem to think it's just something viral but she's still having temperatures, although they are going down now with calpol and ibuprofen.

Mrsmadevans · 03/02/2019 22:29

Fluffy the cake is very nice but my eyes were bigger than my belly and l am so full it is uncomfortable!. It is so filling Xmas Grin
Crazy I know right, you need the glasses and they need to be the exact ones you want , honestly it is the tip of the iceberg with my Dsis she is unbelievable! So sorry you are still having problems and upsets m'dear, it seems to never end l know Flowers . I think this time of year we all get totally fed up with the clutter and we need to recycle stuff because it is like a form of cleansing imho .
Nero , OMG you poor thing your DD has really been poorly m'dear , l am so sorry l hope she is really on the mend now and you can relax a little Flowers
Have a good night sleep everyone Smile

PhilomenaButterfly · 03/02/2019 22:58

DS2 was in bed by 6.40, DD was in bed by 9. Did washing up, laid DD's uniform out, DS2 will be back at school on Tuesday. I've been in bed since 9.35.

WheelchairWoes · 04/02/2019 01:04

PSB DS2 is super cute! Welldone on the hair cut!

Fluffy That baking looks FANTASTIC! OMG I want to eat them all

70 we bought some brownie mix because I've been craving craving brownies lol

Mrs It sounds like your mom had a great birthday haul! Prayers for your friend's MIL Ecoli AND pneumonia is a horrible combination!

Fiddle Holy crap!! Your poor DD!! That is my worst nightmare! Is she off the vent now at least?!?! I'm praying for her!

Crazy Please don't feel like you'll bring the thread down! I'm thinking of you!

Sorry I was MIA today. I had a bad bad bad day. Earlier this morning I ran Miss Lilah over with my wheelchair. She's acting fine. But I spent hours and hours crying and convinced she was going to die. She's still acting normal but is going off to the vet tomorrow. She scared me so bad and I felt utterly retched and like a horrible kitty mom.

I've hit goal and been running at 80ml/hr all day today. Tomorrow I'll switch over to night feeds and hook up at 5 pm. My kids are at my dad's but should be home about 9 pm.

Morning! I'm on a bus today (and for the next 3 weeks) as there's engineering works on my line which would mean having to get up earlier and endure a rail replacement bus for a part of the journey. So I'm choosing to get up at the same time, get a bus to the city centre, jog to work and shower there! Annoying, but I'll cope for 3 weeks. I've got WiFi and can charge my phone, so could be worse!

We're back up to OK temps now too. The freeze has gone for the time being! It's a bit damp, but otherwise alright.

Morning! Drinking coffee and watching Carol. My cushions are the same colour as her dress. Do you approve Mrs? 😋Brew😂

Mrsmadevans · 04/02/2019 08:58

Morning everyone Xmas Grin
Off up the parents soon , have to be there most of the day probably because the district nurse is calling and the Optician is coming to the house for Dad. I don't mind they need seeing to. Poor Dad my Dsis put his glasses down on the sofa and he sat on them, they are totalled , if l had done that then there would have been hell to pay just typical. Never mind Hmm.
Fluffy that commute sounds horrendous , you must be dreading it but l think you have the right idea with jogging and getting your exercise in and then showering in work it seems much more time saving and a good solution Xmas Smile well done, you are very pragmatic .
Wheelie ahhh bless you sweetie , hugs galore , l know how you felt re Lilah ahhh sweetie , you are no bigger than a feather you wouldn't have hurt her l am sure, besides they seem to have these bendy little bodies that seem to squeeze in places no normal animal could get in . I am sure she will be fine bless you sweetie Flowers. Thank you for the prayers re my Friends mum bless her , l am praying for your Lilah too. You have done so well on your feeding regieme m'dear . My little people l used to look after had several feeds a day and a long overnight one but they didn't have any oral food at all bless them . Hope you enjoyed your Brownies Xmas Grin take care today now m'dear Flowers
PSB there is a huge row on atm re a very expensive CF medication a life changing drug called ORKAMBI. there is a petition on about it . I don't know it you know about it m'dear. Link to the petition , have duly signed , it is trying to get the company Vertex to lower the price of the drug.
petition.parliament.uk/petitions/231602
Carol the weather looks a right Bobby Dazzler this morning love the colour of her dress and she is looking amazing for her age she is 56 nearly 57 Xmas Grin. l do not fancy her lol but l really admire her style so feminine
I better shift have a good day everyone , hope all the DC are feeling much better Xmas Grin

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/02/2019 09:40

Thanks Mrs, I've signed and emailed the link to DS1. It's not much of a life for him, but apparently he's not ill enough to be bumped up the waiting list for a lung transplant. Hmm

DS2's better now I think, thanks Mrs, back to school tomorrow, barring any more tummy problems. 😊

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/02/2019 09:43

Walked DD to school, having beans on a bagel and a coffee. 😋Brew

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/02/2019 13:32

DS1 has also signed Mrs. He says he was reading about it this morning on the BBC. He says it'll be interesting to see if the government does have to invoke Crown Use before Vertex blinks. Hmm

NoWordForFluffy · 04/02/2019 13:37

Wheelie, how's Lilah doing now? I'm sure it was more that she was surprised than any injury being done. Flowers

Mrs, it was an OK jog really. I didn't have to stop or walk once. I amazed myself! And you've hit the nail on the head re getting exercise at the same time. I've got a lift in tomorrow, which is nice! I have to get up early to get exercise in though. Churlish to refuse, however!

Was your DS bad over the weekend, PB? Hopefully he's better now.

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/02/2019 13:43

It started on Thursday morning Fluffy, last bout on Saturday morning, so he shouldn't be infectious tomorrow. 😆

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/02/2019 13:46

DS2 had fish pie for lunch. 😋🐟

Mrsmadevans · 04/02/2019 18:25

Have not long come home from the parents. They have decided on their glasses , will put pics on this post. Specsavers were amazing. They really did a marvelous job. Very patient and understanding , it took ages to do them both but they were brilliant. So 4 prs of glasses for £418 , Dad has varifocals Mum has tv and readers , Dad's right eye is excellent now after his cataract surgery 18 months ago , he has another growing in his left eye but his eyesight is good enough to satisfy Dvla requirements and Mum's , so that is great. Dad will never drive again but the DVLA seemed a good yardstick to see how bad their eyesight is and it seems to be fine, they are really lucky l know. Pressures are fine too and even though Mum has a cataract in each eye they are not at all worried about them phew!!😄

Mrsmadevans · 04/02/2019 18:37

So how is everyone doing? Good l hope Xmas Smile
PSB as soon as l saw the news re the CF l thought about your DS1 and knew it is really important to get this into parliament to be debated . To think it is all about money and lining ppls pockets is just terrible. Your DS1 is not deemed poorly enough for a lung transplant yet ? l suppose that is a dilemma you are damned if you do need one and damned if you don't . Ahh bless him and you Flowers how old is he now m'dear is there any chance he will be eligible for one soon? I do hope so Smile. Glad your DS2 is better too Flowers
Yes Wheelie how is Lilah m'dear l am sure she is fine and costing you a fortune in the vets for nothing SmileFlowers
Fluffy, fab you have a lift tomoz that will give you a bit more time surely , hope so m'dear . Glad the jog was fine you Superwoman you ! Xmas Grin
Have just cooked a chicken stir fry for tea and we are going to have it now will speak ltr l am sure Xmas Grin

CishAndFips · 04/02/2019 19:35

mrsmad your cake looks great i will have to give that a try. Excellent news with the glasses and eye sight. Lovely pictures of your parents.
crazy i hope things get better for you soon Flowers
nero Flowers how frightening for you. I hope your DD is feeling better.
wheelie how is leilah. Good luck with the night feed i hope it goes well.
fluffy well done with the jogging.
I have just got the DC's in bed. DH is out at darts tonight. I was in work earlier and checked the rota. I dont know why as i always work the same 3 days, anyway its a good job i did because the study day i thought was next week is actually on Wednesday so ill be spending my evening studying.

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/02/2019 21:06

He's 28 Mrs. Apparently, there are people far more poorly than him, unbelievably. It's good going if he manages to make himself a sandwich. If he's still alive when my mum and I go, he'll go into a hospice. Realistically, when my mum goes, because we don't have room for him here. Or maybe I could do what you do for your mum and dad Mrs?

Had spaghetti meatballs and garlic pizza bread for supper, DS2 went to bed at 4.45 because he woke up at 2.32am, DD went to bed at 8.20 as she's got her reading booster tomorrow. 😋🍝😴📚 Did wash, made DS2's snack: Maltesers and 2 Dairy Milk Caramel bars, in bed now. 😋🍫🍫😴

WheelchairWoes · 04/02/2019 22:58

Hi friends! Lilah is ok!! I was unhooked all day and got to take the younger to her appointment with Joe! She got recast for he ankle braces.

I'm now hooked up for my nighttime feed. Lilah is hanging out on our bar and being a silly little cat. She went NUTS last night. We left some empty boxes in the living room and her Azrael were jumping in and out of them and creating such a ruckus we had to collapse the boxes lol

PSB I saw info on that drug come across my facebook today! I thought about your son also.

I hope DD does well on her reading booster!

Cish I hope all your studying goes well! Are you feeling ok?

Mrs Your mom and dad's glasses look fabulous!! I love your dad so much! He reminds me of my daddy

Fluffy I'm so glad your freeze is gone! Ours is too for a while. We're now having a few days of springtime temps before the winter surges back at us.

It's going to get up to 60 and 61 (16 C) on Wednesday and Thursday before dropping down to 26 (-4) again. The up and downs in temps always take a lot out of me.

I'm sorry I'm still kind of MIA. Today it was because of the appointment and honestly just my cycle. Thankfully I should be nearing the end of my cycle lol.

I've been super babying Miss Lilah love. Here's some photos of her! And since this week is feeding tube awareness here's a photo of me hooked up to my tube. My friend who sees me regularly says I'm already looking a lot more healthy!

Morning! I got up at 5.10, will get DD up at 6, DS2 at 6.25 if he doesn't wake up before then. Drinking coffee and watching BBC world news. 😋Brew

There's a feeding tube awareness week? I wonder if DS1 knows about that? You've definitely put on weight Wheelie! 😆

NoWordForFluffy · 05/02/2019 07:31

Yay re Lilah and your tube feeding, Wheelie. You look really happy in that photo. ❤️❤️

I got a lift in to work today, so am here really early! But I've loads to do, so it's all good! I'm on the bus / jogging the next two days though, as my lift isn't working.

It was frosty this morning, which wasn't as forecast. I think it'll burn off soon enough though.

Crazy, did you order your Spicery kit? I had an email saying my code was used! I hope you love it as much as we do.
