Welcome to the first thread for the 2019 Christmas countdown m'dears

So what have you all been up to m'dears?
PSB ......um did you just say 'deloused the whole family?' I am laughing at that l am imagining you with a cement bag sized of DDT powder throwing it all over them and the house m'dear !
I can imagine though , when DDS were young all of us here had to be done they were rampant then , only DH escaped!
Ahh bless your DS buying the presents with his Christmas money , l hope he had good sale prices so he could get lots more bless him

Mrs I’m glad your parents are feeling better and that they can get some rest this afternoon. I don’t know what happened with your sister, but we’ve had to go low contact with my FIL, and I can honestly say that as hard as it’s been, it’s the best thing to do to make you happier.

I’ve had quite a boring day today, I was up early to go out so am really tired now. We’re cuddling up on the sofa with the boys, we think they boilers on it’s way out so DH is trying to sort that out. At least I’ve bought us all some coats and blankets for the winter!.

That would have been so much quicker Mrs! I Hedrinned everyone last night then rinsed it out this morning.

Bickie, love that you have red for one DC and blue for the other ahhh bless l bet they are just darling . Mac and cheese cannot fault it ! Yummy!
Was interrupted mid message by the DD2 to say she was in Goytre, 9 miles away , on the way home with her friends, when the car sprung a puncture. We are all in the RAC but when we rang they said they would be up to 4 hours until they came so we jumped in the car and DH changed it for them All sorted now !

I've spent most of the day at the allotment today, other than a quick trip to Dobbies for compost, grow bags and some more seeds! We had our two free hot drinks for the month while we were there (DH collected me with the stuff; I'd walked there from the allotment as it's opposite!).

We now have a full path, and the buddleia which we managed to grow from a 2.5 year old stick - accidentally; it was being used to mark a row of peas! - is now planted in the bank at the bottom.

Tired and achey now.

Bickie sorry you had a bad experience with your FIL , it is horrible having to do it but there is nothing else for it . hope your boiler is alright too, you really need it now sweetie

Fluffy , curry looks the biz m'dear just yummy! Hope you got snowdrops aplenty and are enjoying them , how did you get on with the allotment today? l thought Crazy may be very tied up with her Darling Aunt too , bless her

Fluffy it sounds like a very productive enjoyable day , the coffees would have been lovely and l am sure they were very welcome to your poor cold achy bones too . The Buddleia and the allotment are fantastic and is so pulling into shape, you have worked a miracle there ! Did you have any Snowdrops ?

Had chicken lasagne with garlic bread for supper. 😋

No flowers. They're through but not flowering yet. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks!

Biscuit, I hope your boiler lasts. They always die when it's freezing. Ours died during the Beast from the East last year. That was COLD!!

Mrs, your sister is widely known as a pain, so that should justify how you feel a bit as it isn't just you!

Fluffy Your allotment looks gorgeous, We have a teeny garden and I’ve always wanted to start up a veg patch but never knew where to start. Our neighbours always bring around some of the stuff that they’ve grown though, it tastes so good.

It must have been freezing last year during that icy weather. You’re right though, they do seem to pack in when it gets cold. It’s a nightmare.

Mrs Thank you lovely, DH seems to have sorted it out but we’ll see how it goes. We have a wood burner so that can keep us warm in the meantime.

PSB l must make that chicken lasagne once and for all!

Evening all its been a busy but lovely weekend here. DH and I went out for drinks with friends last night. We also had friends over for Sunday lunch, my friend and I went out for a costa and the men cooked lunch. It was great until I got left with the dishes.

I am also now two days with only very mild headaches or no headaches at all yay.

Cish !! ahhh bless you, l am so happy for you that you are enjoying your weekend despite the washing up lol ! Even greater that your headaches are much better YAY!!

Mine are generally brilliant at going to bed. It's rare for them to be trouble. Though DS is shocking tonight, because he's not well. The bloody pox had better get here soon as the waiting is awful!

I'll think of a title tomorrow, Mrs. I don't think we're in too much of a hurry tonight! 😁

Yes, he doesn't know what wakes him up Mrs, so I just get him to bed as early as possible. I do know that waking DD up early on Tuesdays wakes him up, but I'm not sure how to avoid that.

He's pretty good, he just comes in, turns the tablet on and sits on the bureau for WiFi. I'm usually up very soon after anyway.
