Great news about your DH MrsMad.

I can't stand stained teacups - I spend ages cleaning MIL's cups when we visit.

I'm brewing a cold so I'm spending the evening knitting and drinking a mulled wine (for medicinal purposes only, you understand Grin

Fluffy could I grow chillies in pots? Indoors rather than outdoors? I'm down to the last teaspoon of my penultimate jar of sweet chilli sauce and fancy growing my own chillies for the next batch. Any recommendations for reasonably mild varieties please?

I'm also about to finish the last of my redcurrant gin (one serving left) and plan to make raspberry gin next. I bought two bottles of pink lemonade from Bills for Christmas which has left me with two more bottles with kilner style fastening. It would be wasteful to leave them empty, surely. Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 19/01/2019 20:37

I also detest stained mugs, but I've never had them myself, thankfully. I'll re-wash any badly-washed mug here!

Yes, you can grow them indoors. Padron isn't too hot a chilli and is a funky colour. Jalapeños aren't that hot.

Look for chilli seeds and look at the Scoville scale given to them. The lower the number the more mild the chilli. We like heat, personally, so mix mild ones with hot ones to get a nice kick! See the photo I've attached.

We grow our chillies in those plastic greenhouses. Works a treat!

Oh, and yay re your DH, Mrs!

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2019 21:18

Woolly ahhh it is horrible having a cold and l don't blame you drinking the medicinal purposes only mulled wine m'dear Xmas Grin
I think we will have a go at growing the chillis indoors too , l buy the fresh ones from the shops but they only have small packs of 4 and DD1 uses a lot more in her cooking Smile
The stained cups are horrible , do you think it is the teabag that is used ? My Mum uses the Yorkshire tea bags and we just use anything tbh lol and ours are not stained at all. I just had a thought could it be from Hard or soft water ? I don't know what sort of water we have here lol
Thank you for the well wishes for the DH, he is fine now just very tired, this attack only took an hour and a half from start to finish thank God . Last time it took over 5 hours to go we thought we would be spending Christmas day in the Acc/Em dept lol .

Mrs Wow! You have hd another productive day. I’m sorry that it was hard doing everything alone but you seem to have done a smashing job of it all. I quite like the wellies too, DH thinks they look huge on Archie but he won’t take them off.

Fluffy I’m glad Hey Duggee was good😀. I hope your DS feels better, the pox are horrible but at least if he gets them now he can get them out of the way. My DM had pox when she was in her 30s and she was in agony with them.

Wooly Your evening sounds lovely and cosy, and that gin sounds great. They do so many flavours lately.

We’ve just got the twins to sleep and are now watching some Michael McIntyre. DH has is staying in with the boys tomorrow and I’m going up town to buy some new clothes for the boys as it’s meant to get really cold up here and I haven’t got much for the winter.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/01/2019 21:29

Mrs, it's simply not washing them properly, nothing to do with the bag or water. If they don't have all the stains cleaned out of them it just builds up and up. Not nice!

I've got some patio chillies now too, I've cut them back today, though I've no clue how hardy they are. Time will tell!

Biscuit, DD has just got rid of the pox, so I imagine DS is on a poxy ticking time bomb!

How old are your twins? I imagine you have your hands full!

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2019 21:35

Bickie enjoy the day shopping tomorrow , l used to love going clothes shopping for my DDS when they were little , l used to love it!
Fluffy oh dear lol , my DH does all the washing up in my Mums house lol, l am laughing to myself here , DH is by the side of me oblivious to his lack of washing up skills mwahahahaha , I wondered why mine were fine ad their were awful lol Xmas Grin

donttakethebiscuit · 19/01/2019 21:44

Fluffy They turned 1 earlier this month. My hands are most definitely full, but I always wanted 3 so at least I got it all out the way quite quickly.
A poxy ticking time bomb is a great name!

Mrs I love it too. Sometimes I’ll pop out to Asda and end up coming home with a whole new outfit for them all, DH goes crazy at me but I can’t help myself, it’s all just cute

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2019 21:53

God Bickie you do have your hands full m;dear but full of gorgeousness and love , l think it is wonderful having the DC close together . I had 17 months between mine. I used to dress them alike. l am sorry to say l was one of those mothers that MN despises lol Xmas Grin.

You’re right Mrs. Being a mum was always my dream but I never expected I’d have three babies in 15 months. I always thought I’d have girls too so three boys came as a shock. We dress them all the same, the twins have their own colours too, so Harry is red and Oscar is blue.

April2020mom · 19/01/2019 22:11

My mom has accomplished something notoriously difficult she managed to make my children go to bed. We are in a hotel room for a weekend of fun and bonding. I just called home to check on the children.
Tomorrow after lunch we head home. My mom is playing babysitter this weekend for us.

WheelchairWoes · 19/01/2019 22:21

Fluffy Awesome! I'll look up Joe Lycett! I have been binge watching the sewing bee and it's a great show! I wish we had something similar!

Fiddle Thank you! And good luck on your trip!!

PSB Man kid's feet grow so insanely fast it's nuts to me! Speaking of feet we pick up the eldests ankle braces on Tuesday! Those suckers are finally in!

Mrs I love your dad so much. Poor fella. I totally know how he feels. Sometimes I sit here and I feel the same way! I'm sorry your mom is having issues!

I've seen all the episodes of Sewing Bee now and I adore it! Now I'm binge watching Emily of New Moon which is where I've been all day haha

Woolly Your evening sounds fantastic to me save for the getting sick part.

I hate hate hate stained tea cups! I wash mine asap to avoid that lol.

Biscuit I hope you have a grand time shopping tomorrow!

No good snow yet but it's icing and starting to fall now. I'm hoping we will at least get some! This storm has been crazy and throwing snow at everyone but us!

I'm hurting today. But I've upped my feeding rate to 30 ml/hr my goal rate is 45 ml/hr so I'm getting close to hitting my goal rate! Here's hoping to goes well.

I wasn't sure if you all would be interested but here's my feeding set up and you can see my formula and water and pump. Also the embroidery kit I'm working on now

No Mrs! Xmas Grin He bought Pie Face, a lightsaber and a Lego Minecraft set.

PhilomenaButterfly · 19/01/2019 23:02

That's great re the ankle braces Wheelie! Xmas Grin Feeding seems to be going great too! Keep round the tube really clean, it's so important. DS1 relies heavily on his feeds when he doesn't have an appetite.

PhilomenaButterfly · 19/01/2019 23:04

Love that embroidery. I'm not sure my incredibly bad eyesight could do it though!

donttakethebiscuit · 19/01/2019 23:11

Wheelie Thank you 😊. I hope you get some snow soon, I can’t wait for the pictures. But also hope the storm doesn’t hit you too bad so that you can stay safe. I’m glad you’re doing well and that your feeding is going good.

WheelchairWoes · 19/01/2019 23:16

Psb Feeding seems to be going well! I'm making sure I flush the tube often to keep it cleaned and stuff.

Biscuit Thank you! My husband might be home earlier than usual because I guess the roads are getting yucky!

It got so dark and I've not gone over to turn on any lights so the embroidery is at an end for now lol

Morning! DS2's listening to music on his tablet, DD's drawing, both in their room. Xmas Grin

Morning! It's allotment day today, so DH will drop the kids with his parents while I head there to get going. Hopefully I have some snowdrops now! I put some giant ones in the ground recently so I hope they're peeping out too.

I hope the snow isn't too bad, Wheelie.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/01/2019 08:59

Ooh, Crazy, here's a photo of our Panang curry from our recipe book. I cooked this on Friday. This is a World Curry book, not the Curry Legend book. We have both as we love them so much!

I hope you're OK. I'm thinking you're probably busy because of your aunt. Flowers

donttakethebiscuit · 20/01/2019 12:38

Wheelie That should be nice having your DH home earlier. My DH finished early on a Friday and we all get so excited when he comes home.

Fluffy Good luck with the allotment, I hope you get some snowdrops.

I’m back from town and have kitted the boys out for the winter now. I’m making some mac and cheese for lunch and then will put the roast on. Our house will be getting a good clean today as well.

PhilomenaButterfly · 20/01/2019 14:34

Had lasagne for lunch, deloused the entire family. 😋😆

Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2019 14:36

Afternoon everyone 😀
Been to the parents, we went early today. Done loads of laundry again , Dad's feeling a little better and he is admitting it to us now put the flags out 😃.
Both of them exhausted by the time we left so locked them in so they can have a sleep this afternoon and ppl can't just walk in.
My DSis and her DH haven't been to our house since the day l threw her out nearly a month ago, l haven't seen them either but although I am sad about it l know it is the best thing for us . My DH has had enough of them and l can't blame him. It leaves us in the lurch a bit , l think her DH wants me to grovel and thinks them not calling in is my punishment but he can do one . It's nice not having to worry if they are coming here and listening to the incessant moaning about others and the bad language every other word am no prude but they eff and Jeff all the time. My Mum's friend called in and said my DSis talked badly to ppl and what right did she have to be so snobby and think herself better than others! But of a revelation to me tbh Sorry to rant at you here just bypass this last bit if l were you 😄
