Mrs we’re looking into it now. I really didn’t want to move as I love our little home, but it seems like the best thing to do for us especially with just a 2 bed. So we’d definitely have to move in the long run. It’s just the money that’s the concern.

I’m glad your dad is doing well today, have a lovely night my lovely!

Mrsmadevans · 12/01/2019 22:02

Cathy, bless you sweetie , l think that a house move will be an investment in your future family life together. It is a necessity not a luxury sweetheart Flowers, you will all gain so much from it , l am sure it is the right way for you to go Flowers Smile

Mrs I'm sorry your dad is up and down. That makes me so sad!

Cathy It sounds like a good idea to me too! A house move can be so freeing getting you away from bad folks!

Here's my youngest and my dad sledding

Mrsmad I hope your dad has another good day to today.
wheelchair that looks like so much fun.
cathy I hope you managed to get a good night's rest after all the noise stopped.

I was woken at 01.15 with another headache, thankfully I managed to get back to sleep quickly after 2 painkillers. I'm currently curled up on the sofa with DD drinking hot chocolate. DH is on a half shift today 10-2 so I'm hoping I can persuade the DC'S to have a duvet day, with DS's behaviour lately though I'm not holding my breath.

Morning! DS2 came in here for WiFi about 20 minutes ago, he thought he had to try and go back to sleep! Xmas Grin DD's probably still asleep. Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 13/01/2019 08:00

Morning!

Cish, I hope you feel better soon!

I slept all evening last night. Daytime drinking makes me nod off! 😂

I need to go to the allotment as I bought more red onions the other day; get them in the ground. I've some clearing I want to do too. DD is still housebound with the pox, so they'll have to stay at home!

Mrsmadevans · 13/01/2019 10:20

Morning everyone 😀
Off up the parents now 😃
Will catch up LTR with everyone. Hope all ok
See you ltr😃

Thank you Cish. I woke up in the night and seem to have pulled a muscle going from behind my ear to my shoulder, so I can barely move. I didn’t get much sleep with that, but I’m coping. I hope you start to feel better soon lovely, a duvet day would be perfect!.

Fluffy Have a good day at the allotment!.

Mrs and Wheelie it does seem like the best thing for us, will have a look today to see what houses are in our budget.

CishAndFips · 13/01/2019 10:47

Thank you fluffy painkillers thank fully keeping pesky headaches mostly at bay. I can no longer handle day time drinking.

cathy ouch I hope your feeling better soon. Happy house hunting.

Duvet day does not seem likely we are going to watch DN play rugby after lunch. I'm not looking forward to standing around on a cold muddy field at all.

CathyBigBalls · 13/01/2019 13:02

Cish thank you, it’s so painful!. I’ve always laughed at people who say cramps hurt but this one really does kill!. We’ve found a house that we like, so will call the agent later.

Have fun at your DN’s rugby match, wrap up warm!.

CrazyBaubles · 13/01/2019 14:13

I haven't managed to catch up, sorry! Not reading through makes me feel rude but I literally haven't had time.

I am going out for a meal for my dads birthday today and may then have time to catch up later.
I spent a lot of yesterday at hospital with my auntie. She's awake for short bursts and is surprisingly chipper considering. She keeps being very direct and saying "when I'm dead etc" and it's so hard to hear.
I'm not going to the hospital today and they are looking at moving her tomorrow. They have suggested a hospice but I think she wants to come home so I'm leaving her children to discuss that today.

To focus on the positives on my day though - I have finally finished the bloody blanket with a billion ends! I have posted a pic of it laid out and a close up so you can see the pattern. Never again!!

I love the blanket, Crazy! What size is it?

I hope you've managed to enjoy the meal for your dad's birthday. What kind of food did you have?

I didn't do a huge amount at the allotment. I tidied the back of the allotment and moved old fencing back a bit, after disentangling it from weeds, put 60 red onions sets in the ground and also did a bit of weeding. DH brought some more slate for me, so my path is taking shape from the back to the front. The front will be slabs and the rear will be slate. There's not enough of either to do the full lot.

I need to get my seeds out and see what needs planting and when. I'll have a production line going in the shed, I reckon! 😂

WheelchairWoes · 13/01/2019 17:02

crazy That blanket is fantastic but omg those ends. I once made the 4th Doctor's scarf and omg the ends in that bloody thing were crazy!

fluffy Ohhhh all this planting talk!! Right now we're covered in snow still lmao

AND we have another snow storm this next weekend supposed to hit us!

Cish I'm so sorry you are dealing with another headache :( That sucks so badly!

Cathy Back and neck cramps are some of the most painful thing ever in my experience!

Mrs Hope you have a good day with your parents love!

PSB I'm sure both the kids are up by now lol I hope you all have a great day!

I got my embroidery kits so I can use them at the hospital! The big kit eve came with some sheers which I was not expecting.

I woke up with a sore throat and am super paranoid I'm getting sick and will have to miss my surgery. Hopefully it's just a sore throat from the weather and sinuses and such!

Wheelie what a brilliant pic , your Dad is fab isn't he what a good sport m'dear ! Dad is having a little better day today , 'l'm not too good mind' just so we don't get too excited and too happy lol . He had 2 poached eggs on toast, crusts cut off , with lots of butter , 3 cups of tea. Dh did him a lovely Sunday lunch , Roast Pork Loin, stuffing, Spring cabbage, boiled potatoes, carrots gravy and apple sauce .Trifle to follow Xmas Grin
We try our best with him honestly. My DD1 cut their nails and gave Mum a manicure, Mum chose bright pink lol . DD1 is a good un, very patient & kind bless her Smile. Hope the snow continues for a little while so you can enjoy it a bit longer. It must clear then as if by magic overnight for you to go to the hospital Flowers, you are going to be fine absolutely tickety boo Flowers, just read your post about your sore throat ahh sweetie , l hope it isn't anything but if it is and you have to rescedule it is a right pain but you have to be as tip top as you can be sweetie Flowers the kit looks lovely but am thinking wth are the sheers for are they just covering every aspect lol Xmas Grin
Hope you are alright sweetie am praying for you to be ok if that is alright by you Smile
Ahhh Cish l hope you feel better sweetie , it sounds awful and to think you have to wait till Thurs for an appt!!

PSB. l vant to know what you cooked/ate today droooooooolllllll Xmas Grin
Fluffy you did loads !! It all sounds so enjoyable and so interesting , am loving the partial slate path it sounds gorgeous . Love red onions too ....yummy!!
Crazy your Aunt sounds like she is so brave and so certain she knows what she wants . I think a hospice gives excellent care but if she can then to go home would be the very best for everyone imho Flowers
Ahhh bless you all it must be so sad and yet it is such a loving time for you all as well. Everyone just clings together to care for one another and it is times like this when families are at their very best. Flowers
THAT blanky is gorgeous such a lot of work but so satisfying you must be so pleased with it Crazy Xmas Grin
Cathy glad you have found a place you thnk is suitable for you sweetie, what are you going for , how many beds & a garden and garage , will you have to do much to it do you think yours will sell quickly/ Or can you let yours out and use the money as a buy to let to finance your new home? Lots of ppl are doing that .Xmas Grin
Lots for you to think about m;dear!
Think l have caught up going to have tea now , l made a chicken stir fry yesterday and put it in the fridge to have today. Save us having to cook after the parents today, not always got the will to do it tbh. Sometimes its a grab anything we can get day because we are just so tired. Anyway hope all ok and having a great day prob talk ltr Xmas Grin

Mrs I always try to have a plan for nights when I really can't be bothered! At the moment I haven't got anything in the freezer but often there's a chilli or something lurking. Failing that there's always a jacket potato to have.

We've had a busy day. I went spinning this morning then we went out for a walk and playground trip with PIL's, BIL, his gf and her daughter. We were out for three hours. Late lunch at McDonald's then home for bath and hair wash for the dc whilst I did yoga (badly 🤣) they're having a light tea before bed shortly. Phew! Roll on bedtime 😴

CathyBigBalls · 13/01/2019 18:05

Mrs it’s a barn conversion behind some flats, so we’ll go through the back door of the flats into the garden. It’s only 2 bed, but the living room is big enough for a sofa bed for us. There’s no garage but there is storage space outside and there’s a small garden but there’s a river and field nearby, it’s in Northumberland. We will sell our house, we’re hoping it sells easily but our family as putting together to pay for the deposit and then when we get the money from our house we’ll be able to pay that back to them.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/01/2019 18:14

That's a long way from where you are now, Cathy. What will you do about your jobs?

NoWordForFluffy · 13/01/2019 18:16

Wheelie, that kit looks huge! How big is it? I'm envious that mine are so small!

I hope the sore throat goes. Hot lemon and honey if you have it. Flowers

CathyBigBalls · 13/01/2019 18:28

Fluffy I was planning on being a SAHM when the twins came along so I’ll be doing that and DH will be able to find work anywhere due to his profession , so no worries about that.

CrazyBaubles · 13/01/2019 18:58

Fluffy Thank you. It's as wide as a standard double bed and almost as long as one (if you line it up at the bottom it reaches halfway up the pillows IYSWIM).
We went to a nice country pub so treated myself to steak. I will absolutely need to get back on to my diet soon though, I've been rubbish.

You sound like you've done quite a bit at the allotment - it must be coming along so well.

Wheels Thank you. I have learnt my lesson and won't be doing another blanket like that in a hurry!
What are the embroidery kits for? Do you have a pic of the pattern?

I do hope you're prepared for the storms, that's an awful lot of snow not that I'm jealous or anything!

MrsMad Your DD1 sounds lovely, very like you in caring for your parents. I do hope your ddad begins to feel better soon!

My auntie is on her way home. The services here are amazing - decision was made early evening. Hospital bed was delivered within 4 hours, hospital transport arranged within 6 hours.
She's very confused and tired, has barely been awake today but keeps saying she feels better knowing she's going to be at home with her photos (she has pics of family everywhere). It's hard for us but I'm so glad we know we're doing what she wants.

I am finally sitting down to start my bullet journal. My house is clean and I finally have a spare hour so I thought I should get started - I meant to do it for the start of the year so I'm only 13 days behind 🙄

PhilomenaButterfly · 13/01/2019 19:14

Went to the Sainsbury's café for lunch, DS2 had chicken nuggets, chips and peas, a gingerbread man and a chocolate eclair, DD had a ham and cheese panini and a cookie, I had ham, egg and chips, bought DS2 trainers for home and PE, he's grown again, had chicken jalfrezi for supper, DS2 will go to bed at 7.35. 😋🍗🍟🍫🍳🍟🍪😋🍛😴

WheelchairWoes · 13/01/2019 19:34

Mrs I'm glad that dad seems to be doing at least somewhat better! You guys are so swell to him. You are amazing!

Fluffy It's pretty good sized. It was a bigger kit than the small one.

Crazy I'll attach photos of what the finished project of them both will look like!

I'm thinking of your Auntie. I'm glad the services got her house equipped really quickly so she could go out how she wants to.

Cathy I hope your home will sell quickly and you can get moved! It sounds like a really nice place.

The roads have cleared off so that's some good news at least! If I'm feeling well in the morning we should get there no problem.

My kiddo and I are watching a hilarious Christmas movie where a lady from England switches homes with a lady in the USA for the holidays and both find love! It's a wonderful happy story!

Joe will be off to work in about an hour and a half today.
