Welcome to the first thread for the 2019 Christmas countdown m'dears

Evening all
A conversation with my Dsis on Fb messenger tonight goes like this
I must stress that this is mild for her she is normally nastier.

ME 'J came with her DH to Mums today and then ex NDN came just after they arrived'

DS 'J shouldn't call in neither should that bloody ex NDN'

ME 'Mum didn't know they were coming they phoned up 5 mins before they came'

DS 'Mother will have to tell them they have to let us know We can't be having it .how long did they stay? '

ME 'half an hour'
I lied to keep the peace, it was about 2 hours

DS 'good, mother is going to have to tell people they can't just call.
it is private what goes on, I am not having callers like that.mother likes people to know her business and Dad doesn't.
EX NDN is getting a pain in the arse calling all the time.'

ME 'Mum really likes him, he was passing and called in to tell Mum his GF was much better , tbf he didn't stay he didn't even sit down'
(His GF had been in a terrible accident and nearly died 3 months ago)
DS then left the conversation for over an hour without a bye or leave and l thought ' right mrs you can have this one served up to you and l turned the tables on her and told her on messenger I was sorry for leaving the conversation so abruptly but that J had rang me , l knew she would hate it and want to know what was said so l told her this because J did tell me this earlier.
Me 'She thought she should tell me the telly didn't work and that they hadn't broken it lol he used it to show mum the pictures of the hols , l told her it was already broken and we have to get it done 😂'
She then said
'how awful other people's holiday photos.i expect mother had her tongue up their arses.'

So that is a typical chat with my Dsis and the thing is my Friend called in this afternoon l told her all about the row and she said to me 'has she said sorry for provoking you ?' Which my DD said to me too. I am not excusing myself l did behave badly but I really want to know that this isn't me is it , there is something wrong with her l am sure but l don't know what it can be.
Sorry to bore you with this again but it is madness it really is.

Fluffy l hope DD continues to improve and DS stops wingeing lol ahh bless him hope his Chicken pox goes as quickly as it comes Hope you have a great night sleep and are much more refreshed tomoz m'dear!

Thank you for caring about my Dad, he is really still very poorly physically and mentally bless him
l put all the visitors in the conservatory to stop them from disturbing him and let Mum hold court lol . l bought him some new trews and shirt and jumper and gave him a strip wash because he was so tired today, he looked so smart and he and Mum liked the clothes l got him too , the district nurse did his dressing and it is looking better thank God , the care lady will come back in 6 weeks after their financial assessment is done . So nothing to report yet !
We are catching up on Grantchester now, waited for DD to come home from work to watch it together

Psb Yay for sleeping ids!! It's 5:30 pm and I'm anxiously waiting for our Winter Storm Gia to come lol

I admit I'm getting kind of freaked out as the weekend and Monday gets closer. I'm kind of teary eyed and just hoping things go well Monday. I'm trying to focus on our snow storm and not be too scared in the meantime!

Wheelie yes that is her exactly controlling and bullying to be honest, sometimes she scares me with what her retort will be, she is very cutting. They haven't visited for over 2 weeks and they used to visit at least 3 times a week , we are never asked to go there ever. We are not allowed to ring there after 8 and even then the phone is off the hook . I don't bother to ring now .
Wheelie you are going to be fine sweetheart absolutely fine , l will pray for you if that is ok my dear but l know you will be absolutely wonderful after it , please don't be afraid.

Mrs Man your Dsis is awful. She kind of scares me too. I don't like to think about how cut off from people your mom would be without you in her life. I think your Dsis is treating your parents like children and it's horrible :(

Thank you! I'm trying not to be scared! I'm sorry that I am talking about it so much. It's hard not having an idea of stuff and going into it blind! I'm definitely thinking of making Frosty! :) I very very much appreciate the prayers!

The storm Gia has entered the state next to us. Looks like she's going to hit us about 11 pm

Wheelie thank you Darling , my Mum is not like me at all she is very like my Sister but not as bad , Mum rows with her all the time and does what Mum wants she does get very upset about her sometimes and then l have to pick her up Mentally and say 'take no notice of her , let it go over your head' like she says to me all the time when l moan to her about Dsis
You talk about it all you like it is causing you anxiety and the best thing for that is to rant or talk about it to level it out in your mind, to reason with yourself and listen to others reasoning with you .
You know you will be fine ...RIGHT?
You must know deep down that you will be groggy for a little while until after the anaesthetic wears off and then you will feel a little bit of discomfort and then you will be able to go home and feed yourself through the tube and you will get much better
The great thing about the tube is that no one will know you can go everywhere and be inconspicuous, you can do this m;dear you so can!!

Thank you Mrs It will make me feel so much better I think. I have started packing my bag for the hospital to make sure I don't forget anything lol.

I will definitely be fine! I need to keep reassuring myself of that! And you are right! No one will see it unless I show it (or I'm hooked to a feed)

We've got nothing planned today just housework and homework. Dd woke up an hour ago which woke me up and I can't get back to sleep! Ds will probably be asleep for at least another hour 😴

How is the storm, Wheelie? Is it as bad as forecast? I hope you're all OK.

We're off out to Liverpool shortly. DH took ages to take the kids to his parents' house though, so we are running late. Sigh. Typical though really.

Still no sign of the pox on DS. He's got lots of snot and a cough though, so I'm sure it's brewing.

The kids both had over 12 hours' sleep last night. DS got up at about 7.30 as he needed a wee and DD at about 7.45.

I had almost 9 hours' sleep, which was amazing!

It's very windy today, so our two loads of washing should dry. I got the kitchen cleaned. It was the last job left in the cleaning cycle to do, that isn't a 'top up' job, but part of the weekly cleaning schedule. Sometimes DH does the bathroom and kitchen, sometimes I do both, sometimes we do one each. He always vacuums the house though. It depends what other things life throws at us!

Right, he's finally ready now. Faffer extraordinaire, I tell you!

Thank you Mrsmad and wheelchair for your kind words. I'm still having awful headaches but have finally managed to get a GP appointment for Thursday.

The DC have chosen animation as their club this term. 😆

Had slow cooked beef in red wine with potato gratin for lunch, chilli beef burritos for supper, DS2 will go to bed at 7.25, DD will go at 9.30. 😋🍷😋😴

philomena that sounds fun and the food sounds amazing.

I had my trip out to Costa earlier. Had a vanilla almond latte. It was nice but not one I'd rush to order again. All settled in my pj's now. DC'S will be in bed for 8pm and I don't think i will be far behind.

I made a vegan curry for dinner. Only I ate it so now have three lunches in the freezer too dh ate it but he's more a meat and carbs person 🙄

Hi all, absolutely shattered again. Twin pregnancy’s are much worse than Singleton!. We live above a hairdressers and they’ve decided to put their music on really loud so we’re trying to watch the tv and all we can hear is their crap!

Cish I know!, was looking forward to putting the girls to bed and having a cuppa and watching tv but now they have their bloody crap playing. We can even hear it upstairs in the girls room and on the balcony outside

Hi friends! We are still supposed to get 3-4 more inches but here's some snow photos for you. My kids are off to my dad's house to go sledding and things.

We're going to build our snow goons tomorrow after the rest of our snow falls lol. Husband's work will be around town only so that's good news.

Cathy I'm so sorry! I hope they stop being loud very soon! I've always hated living near loud neighbors. We had one who was a tap dancer.

Psb I know I say this all the time but that lunch sounds super yummy.

Fluffy Sleep is what you all need from the sounds of it! We are supposed to get a bit of rain mixed in with the snow too! It's going to be a mess later this evening I think. The roads are pretty slick.
