DS2 was in bed by 7.20. 😴

CathyBigBalls · 10/01/2019 20:12

There’s a Sainsbury’s near us Psb will have to have a look and see what they have there. I think their home decor is really nice. I’m off for an early night. Thank you for your kind words about June, it really means a lot.

WheelchairWoes · 10/01/2019 20:20

Fluffy Both my kids have my connective tissue disease so they have low muscle tone. They both wear SMO's which are hard plastic and keep their ankles from turning inwards. Helps keep them from tearing up their ankles and knees and hips.

I understand being scared of being put under! I am too! They just called me for my Monday pre-op stuff and were asking questions and eeek it made it more real and terrifying. That's my next bit is the GJ tube and the hospitalization. After that hopefully I'll just gain some weight and be good for a while.

We're not sure if they'll outgrow their need for the SMOS with my oldest it's unlikely they said because she's 15 and still needs them. She's the kid with the worst tone out of both of them. She was a very floppy baby because of it.

wreck My kids are pretty easy going about their braces and stuff. Mostly because walking hurt them without them.

psb Glad DS when to sleep well

My kid got me a late birthday present (the younger kid) and now we are playing Kirby's Epic Yarn because she got me the right remote so I can play now!

Joe is asleep we'll wake him up about 4:30 to go to work. We had to get up and out of the house by 8 today and neither of us are really good at getting to sleep on time. LOL

WreckTangled · 10/01/2019 20:25

Dd trips a lot as she has foot drop and low muscle tone. It's a progressive disease though for now she's ok. She's a sensitive soul at the best of times and peers asking her about them was upsetting her. It's tricky. Luckily she hasn't been tripping so much lately.

CrazyBaubles · 10/01/2019 20:26

MrsMad Are you my mum? She sometimes says she bought me something then decided to keep it Xmas Grin
I hope you're enjoying gossip club.

Fluffy The dr seems to have you figured out quickly lol. Strict orders to slow down after your op!

Wheels Glad your scan went well. It sounds like you deal with drs a lot!
Your children seem lovely and happy to do what's best for them though.

PSB love your ornament! I think I said before, I'm not allowed in Sainsbury's because I buy too much. As an example, I went in on my way home from work on Tuesday. I needed ketchup, potatoes and washing powder. Came out with washing powder, potatoes, a skirt, bra, bedding set and silicone cooking utensil (in my defence it's to be used on a new frying pan). I forgot the ketchup 😂 So a £7ish Shop became a £55 Shop 🙄

I am just out of a bath. I've steamed my face with vicks and hot water as I feel pressure pushing against my eyes and I can't be ill anymore.

CishAndFips · 10/01/2019 21:02

Evening all. I just logged on to see i had missed 106 posts on this threadShock. I've been hiding away from the world for the last few days as I've been feeling quite low and also suffering with the most awful headaches.

I've given myself a bit of a shake now and taken the great advice I was given on this thread and arranged a few things to look forward to over the next few weeks.

PhilomenaButterfly · 10/01/2019 21:17

Yes you have to be very careful Crazy, especially in a superstore like ours! I only bought this one because honestly! £1.50! I'd just have bought chocolate or something.

Mrsmadevans · 10/01/2019 23:42

£1.50 ? PSB that is a lovely decoration you did very well with that!
Cish l find it is better to come on here and confess to my fellow Christmas fanatics all that is going on and gain comfort from their very wise words my dear , hope you are feeling better now sweetie Flowers
Crazy l was frozen to the marrow lol , l don't normally do that tbh but needs must lol! Hope you feel less pressure now after the good old steaming Flowers, You got a lot for £55 in Sains imho Crazy ! How is your Dauntie doing today m;dear l hope she is improving Flowers
Wreck ahhhh bless your DD my dear Flowers Glad she hasn't been tripping so much lately Smile
Cathy you must be exhausted have a good rest tonight m'dear hope June is ok tonight for you Flowers
Wheelie , your DDS are brilliant girls they are so caring and uncomplaining but you know what l think you have bought them up and they are really close to you and Joe and that is lovely. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree m'dear Smile
I understand you being worried about the surgery , it is a huge worry but we have to put it all into perspective and look at the evidence and realise that you and Fluffy will be fine , honestly you will Flowers
Gossip club tonight well what a too doo!
Keith (the djay) told Mary (the leader) off for not telling everyone she was going in for a little procedure next week and that the club wouldn't run. Apparently Keith told her that if she didn't run it properly then he was going to leave ! Then Martin's (the other Dj) wife Tina, told Keith if he wanted to leave then he should go ! There is bad previous history between the three of them Xmas Grin .Oh My ! Anyway Mum got in on the act and told Mary that she should have told everyone together and not just one or two and that Keith was right but that he should button it ! I was so embarrassed my Mum is such a straight talker but it is cringeworthy . I was trying to get her out of there asap lol Can you imagine it!! This all went on while both of her hearing aids were whistling like a steam train only higher think a high electrical screeching noise and you got it Xmas Grin
Anyway best get to bed thought l should update you all first and give you all a laugh. Honestly l hope l don't get like my Mum when l am her age Xmas Grin. Part of you admires her but the other part just wants her to stfu! Xmas Grin
Have a great night sleep everyone Xmas Smile

Awwww wreck Your poor DD. I'm thinking of her sweet love!

Morning! Drinking coffee and watching Matt. Xmas GrinBrew

NoWordForFluffy · 11/01/2019 08:22

Morning!

DS has a bad night last night, but no spots yet. I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

I'm off to do the school run now.

CrazyBaubles · 11/01/2019 09:00

MrsMad Thank you. I only managed that shop for £55 because the bedding was on a clearance shelf.

I love that there is always some drama or other from gossip club and your mum sounds funny!

It's not good news for my auntie. We've been told they are essentially buying time and if we want to see her we need to go ASAP. All her siblings went yesterday. I'm going later today and dreading it. I'm early 30s but feel my parents are too you to be losing siblings (Dads brother died 5 years ago, he was only 44, my auntie who's I'll now is 56 and I have another auntie (on dads side) who is having cancer treatment but is very ill and she's only 60).

Wheels I like your children's plan to annoy your neighbours. Grumpy neighbours are the worst.
We have some - he moans constantly at everyone (us, kids, wife, dog and random visitors). He's asked us to cut down a tree in our garden. I have no connection with the tree, I would happily cut it back for anyone else but I've refused purely because it's him asking Xmas Grin

Fluffy can we console you with the thought that you're at least getting it all out of the way together rather than your DS picking it up in a year or 2?

I am in work as I need a distraction and it's working well as it's bloody manic here today!

Mrsmadevans · 11/01/2019 09:46

Morning everyone 😀

Oh dear Fluffy. Flowers

PhilomenaButterfly · 11/01/2019 10:19

Oh Crazy I'm so sorry. Flowers

PhilomenaButterfly · 11/01/2019 10:21

Just had halloumi etc, a banana and a hot chocolate.

BiddyPop · 11/01/2019 10:33

Flowers Crazy

NoWordForFluffy · 11/01/2019 12:18

Oh Crazy. Flowers

Oh, and yes you're right that the consultant guessed what I'm like straight away. I think because most people get a frozen shoulder after this long and I'm about as far from that as an uninjured person!

Mrs, I hope you get a good care package in place for your parents.

DD is so much brighter today after 13 hours' sleep! Just in time to swap with her whinging brother! 😂

I've been to town and bought loads of supplies! I had to get DH to come and collect me as I had too much stuff, even for my wheelie trolley!

CrazyBaubles · 11/01/2019 13:58

Thank you all. I wish I had good news to post but I don't. Auntie has been awake and has made the decision to remove all treatment. She is tired and has had enough. Treatment would have added some weeks for her but it isn't what she wants so we're all tying to visit and make sure she isn't alone.
My poor mum isn't handling this very well (unsurprising really) and I'm crying on the inside but steely cold on the outside as I need to get through the next 3 hours of work (boss offered to send me home but I'll have nothing to do but think there).

Sorry for putting a downer on the thread. I may post a bit more than usual to cheer myself up which I'm sure you lovely people won't mind x

WreckTangled · 11/01/2019 14:15

Crazy Thanks what a difficult time for you all.

Today is my day off, I've been food shopping, done some yoga, stripped washed and put bedding back on 😴 have got a mountain of washing to fold. Yuck.

NoWordForFluffy · 11/01/2019 14:57

I'm so sorry to hear that, Crazy. Flowers

That's very productive, Wreck. It's not been washing weather today, but should be tomorrow. I'll do a load tonight and then another one overnight so I can hang it out first thing.

I'm rather tired today, not sure why. Must have an early-ish night tonight!

WreckTangled · 11/01/2019 15:01

Dh is out tonight so I will probably have an early night! any excuse

CathyBigBalls · 11/01/2019 15:58

I’m so sorry CrazyFlowers

Just got the girls from school and then will wash all the uniform and tidy their room. DH will be home in an hour and then we’ll probably just have a snuggly night in.

WheelchairWoes · 11/01/2019 17:23

Crazy I am so so sorry. Your family is in my thoughts and I pray that your aunt's passage from this life is peaceful as can be and that you are all surrounded by love.

Cathy Sounds like a great night to me!

Wreck Sounds like a satisfying and good day!

I've not done any washing really. I need to but right now I'm trying to buckle down and prepare for the winter storm. They've named it now which means it's going to be worse than originally thought. They are calling it Winter Storm Gia. She's gonna hit us tonight

Fluffy WOOT for giant shopping trips! Sounds like you are prepared for anything. I'm sorry your DS might be coming down with the pox next. Poor kiddos

Mrs I hope your parents are well! Please keep us updated on your dad? I worry about him so!

Crazy I wouldn't cut down a tree if a crazy neighbor asked me either. LOL We have bought 22 glowsticks! We are prepared for a snow war with this neighbor now.

My husband has gone into work 5 hours in hopes of getting some good money made. Because he'll be taking off next week during my surgery and hospital days him making some extra money is a good idea.

His boss has decided if the roads get bad? They won't close down completely but will only do in town deliveries which I think is a great idea. Wrecks in town are less likely to be fatal as out of town wrecks because we have very low speed limits on our streets that are very strictly enforced.

PhilomenaButterfly · 11/01/2019 20:32

Picked DS2 up, had braised steak and mash for supper, DS2 went to bed at 7.15, DD went at 8.20. 😋😴

Apparently the person inside the duvet cover is a girl! 😂
