Wheelie - I love my job so I don’t mind, but it’s not going to be easy with this sciatica and just generally getting bigger daily haha. Need to work out when to take maternity leave too Smile
Haha that sounds like a good plan, bless you!

Cor I’m exhausted just reading that fluffy!

Paddy just saw a pair of Addie’s wee socks and he was like ‘awwwwww look at her wee socks for her wee feet’ 6ft4 man cooing over baby socks - adorable Grin

AceyMac13 · 30/12/2018 16:28

None of my maternity work shirts fit over my Addie bump, they did before Christmas 😂🤷🏻‍♀️
This sciatica / spd / pain from the devil himself needs to kindly get lost tomorrow so I can get my passport photo done and also go shopping for more work clothes!

NoWordForFluffy · 30/12/2018 16:45

I think that most employers are quite relaxed about what heavily pregnant employees wear; you'll probably get away with whatever fits at this point. Don't spend more money if you don't have to!

AceyMac13 · 30/12/2018 16:47

Fluffy - unfortunately my gaffer definitely isn’t relaxed about it and says the work dress code needs to be adhered to!

NoWordForFluffy · 30/12/2018 16:50

Really? Is he the head honcho? Or just a manager in the business? I'd ask HR what their take is, personally.

What kind of law do you do?

WheelchairWoes · 30/12/2018 16:51

WOW! Fluffy That looks amazing!! I need to ask your advice when I start working on our garden!

acey I have to ask. What does gaffer mean? I was wondering how you will do work when you have such bad sciatica! Is it a feet job or can you sit down often?

NoWordForFluffy · 30/12/2018 16:51

And have you considered IILEX instead of a new degree? I know loads of people with first degrees do it that way instead of going back to uni.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/12/2018 16:56

Wheelie, here's what it looked like when I took it on (16 July, 3 days before falling down the stairs and tearing my shoulder tendon!).

Then there's shots from early August and early September to show our my progress!

Holy wow Fluffy You've done amazing on that!! Right now ours is composting our Halloween pumpkins. I figure in April I'll get all the dirt tilled up and I'm going to wait until May 11th to plant anything as that's really the time we should be free of frost. I want to grow pumpkins and zucchini, tomatoes, and corn. I'm also considering a self pollinating blueberry plant

We are back from the flea market. I ended up getting an awesome fairy lamp but also some GREAT snack sets from the 50s. The cup sits in the plate for when you were at parties and had your food and drink in your lap. I got two of these because one is going to my mum for an early Birthday gift. We'll take it to her today. Also I got a uranium glass bowl. I don't have photos of it yet because I wanted to show it in the dark under the black light to see the awesome glow.

We have two blueberry bushes in the garden and a massive strawberry patch. We only had 4 tomato plants this year and had more tomatoes than we could cope with!

I'll do some peas and carrots in the garden, as well as a few sweetcorn, but only a handful.

We also do chillies and some cucumber. Apparently courgette (zucchini) is an easy one to grow as they yield well. I'm not sure I'll have room for any, but might try to squeeze a few in!

We've done well this year really. Everyone who has an allotment near us is really pleased how quickly we've got it going!

NoWordForFluffy · 30/12/2018 19:53

They're amazing bits from the flea market, Wheelie!

WheelchairWoes · 30/12/2018 20:00

Fluffy Are carrots easy to grow? I've considered them. Carrots and Corn are my kids favorite. That's why I figured I'd get corn going. But I've never attempted carrots.

Pumpkins are hard. We've done them in the past. We get small pumpkins but my kids love them even if they are tiny. The kids love when we plant tomatoes because they can just go outside and eat them off the vines lol

PhilomenaNewYearButterfly · 30/12/2018 20:09

Had chicken and bacon pasta bake with garlic bread for supper, DS2 will go to bed at 8.20, DD will go at 10.45. 😋🍗😴

WheelchairWoes · 30/12/2018 20:25

PSB Ohhhhh chicken and bacon pasta bake sounds awesome! DD gets to stay up late tonight lucky gal!

NoWordForFluffy · 30/12/2018 20:27

Carrots are SO easy to grow! Just remember to thin them out and job's a good 'un!

WheelchairWoes · 30/12/2018 20:39

Cool! Thanks Fluffy I think we'll add carrots to our veggie list this year!! I think we might do some strawberries too

PhilomenaNewYearButterfly · 30/12/2018 21:13

Wheelie she's not sleeping well because she's got a bad cold and lying in the dark awake is no fun. She can sleep in tomorrow.

AceyMac13 · 30/12/2018 21:35

Evening!
Sorry, haven’t caught up yet as been having a rough few hours with my ptsd.
Paddy ran me a gorgeous bath and I had a wee pamper session and feel so relaxed now.
Hope everyone Is well and has had a grand day!

CrazyBaubles · 30/12/2018 22:01

Hi on the new thread

I couldn't bring myself to come back on to such a cheery thread when I was feeling so rubbish but decided to peek this evening and I'm so glad I did!

I have to say, this is the loveliest thread and I want to say thank you for al listening and not telling me to pull myself together after my pity party yesterday. I am still sore (and considering not going to work tomorrow if I don't feel any better) but DH has been amazing and I've been crocheting to cheer myself up.

I've posted my 2 newest makes - they're for 2 friends (incase you can't tell, the second pic is 2 peas and the 3rd is them in their pod which are also a bride and groom for recently engaged friends) Grin

I have also had a quick (ish) skim through previous posts and have replied as best I can:

Fluffy I had never heard of that diet but I've spent some of today researching as I need a plan that works for me. I have been doing SW but it's stopped working and the more I think about it the less logic I find in the way it works 🤔
We started ttc at the same time as another friend (she told me, I never said anything). I remember DH calling me at work to tell me she was pregnant so I didn't see it on FB. I cried in the toilets - I remember starting a thread because I felt awful. She has 2 dc now too. It's so conflicting - I'm happy for her but also jealous which is a pointless emotion.

I hope you have your feet up after all your work today!

Seafood Funnily enough I have more than one set of friends who fell pregnant as they were about to start fertility treatment!

MrsMad You seems to understand this feeling so well. I'm so glad it worked out for you!
Also, it's good that you're calling out your DSis when she needs it. How bloody cheeky to be opening mail and reading through your mums bank statements! I am 🤬 on your behalf.

Acey That must have been awful to find on his phone. Could you maybe get your grandad to read the messages before it so you don't have to?
You're going to be a wonderful mum. And you're doing brilliantly at facing your PTSD too!

PS Give Paddy a big cwtch and tell him it's from the welshies on this thread Xmas Grin

Wheels I'm so sorry you're feeling a bit rubbish. It sucks and although we can't make you feel better we can definitely distract you Thanks
So glad you went to the flea market - that snack set is so sweet.

WheelchairWoes · 31/12/2018 00:23

Crazy I love the cactus and the peas in a pod!

I am back from my family's get together and I was gifted with a lot of my Meemaw's old ornaments. I'm kind of crying because I was hoping they hadn't been burnt up. When my Meemaw died my grandpa burnt stuff in his grief.

PSB Sorry your girlie is sick! My niece is sick too poor doll :( So much yuck going around.

I'll share my ornaments when I get a photo uploaded. Right now I just got home and am unwinding. My Iron infusion is at 11 am tomorrow so we'll have to head out of here at 10

WheelchairWoes · 31/12/2018 04:16

Ok friends! 11:16 PM here. Should be 5 AM there! Chat at you tomorrow! Sleep tight!

Morning!

NYE! I'm not too arsed about tonight; it's not something I celebrate overly. Might even have an early night!

I think we're off to the squirrel woods this morning, then I'll go back to the allotment this afternoon.

We're going to Pizza Express with friends for dinner, which will be nice. 😊

Then we will take the decorations down when we get back, after the kids are asleep. At least they're quicker to take down than put up! Xmas Grin

AceyMac13 · 31/12/2018 08:00

Morning!
I’m just having a peppermint mocha before getting ready to go to the next town. Going to battle through the pain and get these photos done!

There’s something really nice about knowing tomorrow’s a new year, almost like wiping the slate clean. I’m definitely ready to leave this year behind! I won’t be staying up or anything like that though, need to sleep while I can haha.

Would be my mums birthday tomorrow, we are going to lay flowers today whilst we are out. We would usually go on her actual birthday, but the way my sciatica is there’s no guarantees I’ll even be leaving the house tomorrow.

Crazy - thank you so much my lovely. I really hope The new year is a good one for you and DH Flowers thank you, I swore I would never let it control my life the way it did when I was first diagnosed, so even though it feels like most days are a battle at the moment, I will keep on fighting through! I have so much to be thankful for, that I often get so angry with myself because I shouldn’t complain, people are going through so much worse than me!

AceyMac13 · 31/12/2018 08:02

Whoops pressed send too soon! Crazy I love the two new makes, they are grand Grin you are really talented! I have the craft skills of a child 😂
Paddy says why thank you welshies Grin
