Welcome to the first thread for the 2019 Christmas countdown m'dears

cathy She's excited for cake and presents lol. We are doing a joint birthday party tomorrow since we'll be going to the museum next week right before younger dd's birthday.

Mrs It really is a lot of fun. It's like....coloring books just on fabric with thread lol plus the stabbing is therapeutic if you are upset hahaha

Wheely I’ll be busy tomorrow, so might not be as active, if I don’t pop on make sure you wish her a very happy birthday from me.

Fluffy I’m not looking forward to that newborn sleep deprivation you’re talking about, and I’ve got it twice over!.

Yes! It's so very fun to stab the fabric. Poke poke stab stab haha and then pretty designs emerge from your frustration! I have been told I won't be able to take my punch needle to the hospital though. They are considered a weapon. So I'll be looking for a cross stitching pattern instead. I'm trying to plan for this hospital stay. I hate hate hate being in the hospital.

Because I can't walk? Depending on the hospital some of them won't let my husband help me to the loo. So anything I have to potty or anything I'll have to page a nurse. UGH. I hope this hospital will just let me go with him

Mrs If you ever decide to give it a go? You can get punch needles for very cheap because it's been around for hundreds and hundreds a years. My gran used to do it when she was a kid.

Morning! I just went to hang the washing out but it's a bit mizzly, so will wait a bit and then try!

Is doing the punch needle craft as satisfying as going to the bottle bank? I used to love taking out a bit of anger on those bottles as I loved them in.

There was a glass collection point near our Glasgow flat which was ace (they didn't collect glass from the door, because it was flats and impractical to use the box, I think). Smash!!

Not so much sleep last night as we went to bed a bit later. But the kids woke at 7.30 which isn't too bad. Oh, DS ended up in with us again overnight. Looks like we'll be weaning him off it again!

Back to school tomorrow for them, thank god. Two weeks off is enough! 😂

DS2's having a bacon roll meal, DD's having a bacon roll, I'm having a sausage, egg and cheese bagel meal. 😋

Trying to figure out where to go today. It's wet and cold so probably needs to be indoors

It’s grey and damp here so we’ve had to do an indoor picnic, which is still just as fun!. June’s tonsils are swollen again and she has been complaining of earache. I’ve looked it up and apparently it can be your adenoids? Has anyone heard of these, I vaguely remember them asking if I was having mine taken out when I had my tonsils out as a kid.

On a more happier note, our lovely neighbor just dropped round a cherry pie for us because they’d made too much, so that’s gone lovely with our picnic. DH will take Darcie to soft play later on if June is still not feeling up to it and then he’ll pick up the stuff off that lady for the twins on the way back.

Fluffy I’m sorry that you didn’t get much sleep and that your DS was in with you again. I hope he’s feeling okay. I’m dreading my girls going back, I get so bored whilst they’re out!. But it’ll give me some time to get everything ready for out twins.

Philomena I haven’t heard of a bacon roll meal, I’ll have to have a look. I only ever have the pancakes from McDonald’s!

Just trying to figure out what to have for dinner. We might get a chippy if it’s rainy because we all love a rainy day chippy and I’m too tired to make a Sunday lunch!.

I got enough sleep, just not as much as the night before (8 hours is v rare!).

Was it a picnic breakfast or early lunch? Sounds fun, whatever it was!

Are you on mat leave already? I condense my hours into 4 days so have Friday off and don't have time to get bored; there's always loads to do. And I like the kids being at school as the house stays tidy! 😂

I've made some mini lemon drizzle loaves for DS' packed lunch and am baking some mini banana and dark chocolate ones for DD (she doesn't know they're banana as 'I don't like banana'. Well, you think you don't, DD! 😂😂

We need to go out and get more fruit as our two go through it like locusts, but that's an after lunch job! We aren't dressed yet as we tend to laze about if we aren't going out.

I got the washing out in the end and the breeze is slightly stronger than forecast, so it should dry in the main. Everything dried yesterday bar the band on my jeans, so here's hoping!

It's hard with little, little people on wet days. Ours play game / do colouring now when it's wet, so can keep occupied. Oh, and they run round the house like loons, burning off energy! 😂

15 years ago I had my first DD! 6lbs 3oz and 19.5 inches long lol. Crazy to think about!

My kittens were waking me up all night long and I'm kind of grumpy lol. They kept going nuts and catapulting off my stomach.

Cathy The adenoids are kind up up higher than your tonsils at the very top of your throat. Kids with Sleep apnea often have their tonsils and adenoids out because in children those being swollen cause cause obstructive sleep apnea.

I'm sorry your picnic was indoor but it still sounds good to me!

Cishandfips Awww sweetie. I understand the sadness of taking down the lights. I've left up a strand of twinkle lights on the hearth I think I'll leave up all year. It makes it less sad. I might get a white strand to put up too lol

It's about 9:15 in the morning the sun is shining and I need to get up the kids! LOL We won't do their party until about 1 pm so at least we have time haha
