Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@RJNoMore, cheapish - for prelit - tree.

There's usually a new customer discount if you Google too.

@casablanca I teach little ones with ASD and this is a firm fave. Spiky but no chance of injury! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lanco-Hunter-the-Hedgehog-Natural-Rubber-Toy/173625449553?hash=item286ce21c51:g:in8AAOSwC~db4M17

nowayback · 10/12/2018 20:35

Anyone fancy helping me??

What to buy for a couple (early 40's)
We normally give 'doing' things but done most things locally.
House is bursting at the seams so no clutter.
No real hobbies
Lots of food intolerances
budget of up to £50

ANY suggestions gratefully recieved!

hoopdeloop · 10/12/2018 20:39

For those after the ordnance survey book, Costco in Edinburgh were selling them so if you are a member you might get one in a Costco near you. Can’t quite remember the price but it was under £10, think it was about £7/8

sepsisandAKI · 10/12/2018 20:56

@eastmidswarwicknightnanny thanks for Tesco info I was in Tesco at 8 this morning but only to return something so didn’t even look at toys!
Can you remember how much ghostbuster car was?

imsorryiasked · 10/12/2018 21:00

@nowayback magazine subscription?

BobDobbs · 10/12/2018 21:01

I am nearly finished apart from needing small presents for a few little boys (age 3-4). They all have older siblings so have lots of toys already. If anyone has any brilliant, bargainous suggestions for that age group then I would be very grateful!

Casablanca78 · 10/12/2018 21:13

@Sneezein3s - thanks that looks great

sideorderofchips · 10/12/2018 21:15

Not sure if anyone has said this but the just hype page has a spinning wheel. I just won a 20% off voucher and bought a Star Wars rucksack for £13!

Notlongnow1 · 10/12/2018 21:18

@PipersOrange May or may not be appropriate depending on age and interest but Costco have this Marshall (Paw Patrol) one. Sure we paid closer to £18 in store.

imsorryiasked · 10/12/2018 21:32

@BobDobbs the Book people have this Christmas book bundle for £10 which you could split if needed.

Fork2fork · 10/12/2018 21:43

Does anyone have a Lisa Angel code? DS11 wants to buy his first girlfriend a gift from there. He can't hold out any longer for a possible sale so need to get it ordered for him. Thanks

BobDobbs · 10/12/2018 21:59

Thanks imsorryiasked

butterflymum · 10/12/2018 22:07

@livingthegoodlife Tesco have the Ordnance Survey Puzzle Book in store for £8.

ShesABelter · 10/12/2018 22:17

I can't believe it's two weeks tomorrow I have never been so unorganised and im panicking. I have been on here for ages and the majority of stuff I do have is ideas from here but I'm struggling this year.if anyone would like to help.

I have my mil as a secret santa. 30 pounds to spend. She doesn't use skincare. Not particularly into make up. Doesn't do much hobby wise except bowl and walk my sils dog. She's 73. Doesn't read. Doesn't have a bath for bath stuff.

Still to buy my grandad. He was a the no 1 Scottish speedskater back in the day. He's into budgies and goes to shows but no longer keeps them. He was a joiner. Usually buy him pjs or jumper or shirt but fancy something different. He's a fit 80 year old

Got a chrome book for my dd9 to buy was hoping for a bargain. Eldest (teen) is wanting an iPad but I'm not sure I'm going to bother as she's never off her iPhone and never used the kindle fire she was given last year so I'm not sure it will be used. So she's not got hardly anything either. Then I have her and my son's bday beginning of January!

So if anyone has seen any decent priced Chromebook or laptop deals please let me know thanks.

ShesABetter fingerless gloves from Turtle Doves (see PP) could be good for your MIL secret Santa too?

PrivateEggnog · 10/12/2018 22:37

ShesABelter same here, am so disorganised this year Xmas Sad hoping I've still got time to pull it back, but panic is slightly setting in.

I'm hopeless at tech/teens, but for your grandad (who sounds ace btw) does he do gardening or anything? What about a portable radio for that (an idea I got from MN last year for my FIL). Not sure of any bargains out there though!

ReindeerPoop · 10/12/2018 22:42

@RJnomore1 I got a lovely pre-lit ultra realistic from WeRChristmas but via Amazon prime

SandAndSea · 10/12/2018 23:13

@livingthegoodlife & @nowayback - Indoor skydiving voucher for two? You can often get them for around £50.

TittyBoneGhoul · 10/12/2018 23:20

Xmas Blush can’t keep up

SandAndSea · 10/12/2018 23:21

@ShesABelter - For DG: A bottle of cognac? Adopting an animal which you can visit for free for a year?

For mil: Tokens for a manicure and a cafe near her so she can treat herself?
