Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

I’m trying to buy my LAST gift, a coffee machine available in all the usual outlets. You guys have changed me now though, I don’t want to buy it without a discount code! Anyone know of any codes for curry’s/Debenhams/ao etc - even 10% better than nothing. It’s the principle

its not a deal, discount or bargain if you are promoting your your friend's business. How stupid do you think we are? There are lots of friends and family of mine with businesses, my own husband does family portraits but I don't post links on here because the thread is not for that.

No bargains to post but just to say thanks & congratulations to @Reastie. I've been on here under several name changes for a good fee years now. I've saved an absolute fortune and earned the title of bargain queen amongst my friends. I don't deserve the title really it's all down to reastie & her fabulous threads! & another for the baby

I am finished... But... I'm walking past primark tomorrow on my way back from an appointment so I'll call in. I think I'll get some harry potter socks if such things are available. Can anyone recommend something stocking fillery from primark?

Primark have some hedwig lights for £3 which would make a nice stocking filler and Harry Potter baubles in a two pack . Could be split ? They have two different sets . I also got a heat change mug which fits inside our stockings if you take it out of the packaging.
Lots of bits and pieces suitable for stockings depending on their ages .

Is there a way we can find our own posts on a thread? I posted a question way back and am now scrolling through looking for all the answers I got (life was just too hectic back then) - anyway I wondered if there was an easier way, am I missing something obvious?!

I have a couple of things left to get. Still deciding on a paw patrol toy for ds4 aged 2. I have absolutely no idea what to get DHs grandparents, I need to get socks for the stockings for the children and the pyjamas for the Christmas Eve box 😫

oldbrownshoe that’s ok, hopefully someone made good use of it- all’s fair in bargain hunting! I’m annoyed with myself for not using the 20% Debenhams code I had last week, I’m so indecisive.

@ChoccyJules you can customise using the drop down arrow at the top of the page but possibly only on the desk top site (although it works on mobile too once set up) This will highlight your posts in one colour and the OP's posts in another.
Or go to the three little dots at the very top of your phone page and select "find in page" and then search for your user name / abbreviation / item. Works best if you choose to view all/1000 posts on the thread first (using the arrow drop down option)

What are you all asking for? All I can think of is a nice bubble bath...

gaggia Primark has loads of nice Harry potter bits at the moment - Hedwig eye mask, hot water bottle, snowglobe, mini snow globes, pillows, mugs, baubles and decorations shaped like the characters, duvet set, sign that says 'I'd rather be at Hogwarts' plus some nice tops, jumpers, pjs, socks, footlet slippers.

beautician what kind of paw patrol are you looking at? My dd (6) has had most of the toys since getting into it at 2ish. Favourites were and are the large patroller, vehicles and pups, jungle truck. The plane is pretty good too but isn't played with as much. The original lookout was a waste of money not sure on the new one that's been released.

reindeer I have asked for the Mary poppins pillow I saw in Primark, Disney store decorations for my collection, tartan trousers, a new travel mug and the most amazing star trek next generation dress from EMP 😍 don't think I will get the last one as dh doesn't take hints that well 🤣

Reindeer Dh takes the kids out and let's them decide whatever they want to buy me which is sweet, I've had a few unusual gifts over the years think cillit bang and an empty plant pot but this year they have excelled themselves Apparently they couldn't be dissuaded!! clearly didn't try hard enough DH thinks its hilarious Next year he's getting a list and I'm getting revenge

I'm getting Land's End slippers and some wireless headphones from dh. Dh has just asked me if I've bought all the presents. Yes indeed. .

Just done the big Christmas food shop. I think I need to drink most of it to forget the bill!

reindeer this is the first year I’ve ever actually asked for things because usually I can’t think or feel cheeky but this year I made a list because otherwise dh and Dm still spend money but on stuff I don’t want!

@hmslfc yes dh does that too. I’ve had a HUGE sheep cookie jar and a large wooden duck wearing wellingtons. Great.

Sympathies. I know it can be a real struggle.
Is there a moment of the day that is your real weak point food wise?
Ie. Do you sit down in front of the telly feeling very tired every night and consume way more than you need?
