Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

I got the ordinance survey book in Tesco for £8. Not as bargainous as other places but still not full price. I wanted the mi5 one too but it had sold out :(

MinorRSole · 17/12/2018 19:54

Oh @Jammiebammie I didn't realise your daughter was poorly :(. Pm your address and I'll send her a confetti pop - I have 4 in the house and the kids have plenty of stuff so won't be a problem

neddle · 17/12/2018 20:00

Can anyone help with ideas for cheapest stocking fillers for my 13 and 10 yo boys please?
They already get socks, pants, a book and chocolate.

Dolceandgabbana14 · 17/12/2018 20:16

Has anyone seen any Paw Patrol bargains? Not looking for toys, I'm after things like stationery sets, bubbles for the bath etc. Thank you!

Betsy86 · 17/12/2018 20:20

Lots of half price chocolate in tesco today. Choc coins, santas, unicorns, medals a reindeer 50p.
Larger unicorn or choc dinosaur £1.75. Most of the kid themed chocolate is half price not sure why its for kids eating a unicorn as i type
Also had some small boxes of tesco finest choc like honeycomb and choc covered marshmalows £1.75. Werthers original gift box £1.75 xx

ChristmasDaydreams · 17/12/2018 20:20

I think home bargains have a paw patrol toothbrush, paste and cup set for £1.99. They have Thomas and I think my little pony as well

Dolceandgabbana14 · 17/12/2018 20:25

Thanks Christmasdaydreams, I'll start a list of places to visit tomorrow. It's my last morning on my own before the DC finish school, so no more opportunities for shopping before Christmas Shock Anywhere else to try?

margaritasbythesea · 17/12/2018 20:31

I'm pretty sure I saw our local White Stuff getting ready for a sale today... All the racks were being put sale style.

These was also 25% off lots o things

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 17/12/2018 21:05

StirFriedBadger · 17/12/2018 21:10

Personwithnoname · 17/12/2018 21:26

Has anyone mentioned free chocolate orange from wh Smith with O2 priority? Please dont get them all before I get to shop tomorrow please 😁

Personwithnoname · 17/12/2018 21:27

Also just ordered sale Christmas wrapping paper and cards for next year at studio. Tried a few numbers and got free delivery with 016.

doistayordoigo · 17/12/2018 21:39

I think there were Paw Patrol pez sweet dispenser things in Peacocks.

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 17/12/2018 21:53

Where are all the Christmas t-shirts this year? I checked Primark and Asda and I couldn't find any. Was hoping for one for tomorrow. I'm heading into town first thing so if anyone has any ideas please let me know. I would prefer not to look online because I will find something I love then not be able to find it in store.

Also not gift related but I have my work Christmas lunch at work tomorrow. I have never been to anything like this because I am really strange and hate eating in public, it stressed me out. It's during my shift so I have to be there. Will a Christmas jumper/ t-shirt be ok? Or do people usually go all out?

Rockhopper81 · 17/12/2018 22:08

Thanks for the Robert Dyas link imsorryiasked - this is clearly the year of the blankets for me: Lands End monogrammed blankets for the nieces and nephews, and a Sherpa blanket each for my mum and dad!

Rockhopper81 · 17/12/2018 22:10

Tesco had Christmas t-shirts in (or at least they did last Thursday, when I bought them) - definitely children’s and men’s, didn’t look at the women’s to be fair, but would assume they did.

Jammiebammie · 17/12/2018 22:34

Thank you everyone for well wishes for dd Flowers it’s probably been the toughest year yet tbh, don’t know how I’ll cope if we’re in over Xmas but it does seem likely, we’ve had birthdays in before which were ok but as I have other dc, Xmas just seems harder I guess (ok, I’m moaning now - sorry!)

And the gift ideas are fab, I’m going for the lens ball, had no idea it existed and seems perfect, she does a photography course so I don’t know what she already has - seems different enough but actually useful. Amazon prime (and this amazing thread!) have been my saving grace this year.

minor thank you so much, I’m tearing up a bit at your offer! I wouldn’t feel happy just taking it, but if you’ll accept payment (or even I could send you a confetti pet - I seem to have 3 of those lol) then I would be ever so grateful, thank you Flowers

MouseTheDog · 17/12/2018 22:38

Dolceandgabbana14 there was some half price paw patrol bath things in Tesco today. Didn’t look too closely so not sure of details but worth checking out if you’ve got one close by.

Dolceandgabbana14 · 17/12/2018 22:45

Thank you for the Paw Patrol suggestions. I’ve got a little route planned for tomorrow!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 17/12/2018 22:47

dolce I'm sure Primark and Poundland have some paw patrol bits in. Also the entertainer has some things and the big bags for putting presents in. Or if you wanted to spend a bit more Claire's accessories had some overpriced stuff. This is the first year dd hasn't asked for paw patrol 😭

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 17/12/2018 23:30

I am in possession of my scarves! Obviously I should’ve checked at number 22 first Hmm but they brought them round and I’m thrilled with them! the 4 gifts and 5 for me are perfect!

I’m v impressed with accessorize tbh, it was clearly a cock up on their part but they honoured it and it’s impressed me!

Dolceandgabbana14 · 17/12/2018 23:38

What’s the quality of the Studio cards and wrapping paper like? Anyone had personalised items before - looking at clothing. Thinking about an order but haven’t used them before. Thanks to pp for the heads up Flowers

NewDayBlankPage · 18/12/2018 00:22

TimeForMy10thCuppa, H&M had a few Xmas t shirts today and they were all half price. What sort of place do you work? I think xmas events can range from no one wearing anything Christmassy at all through to people going all out, depends where you work I guess. Where I work it’s usually a mix of ‘normal’ clothes, a Christmas jumper/t shirt or two and some people wearing a bit more red/sparkle than usual.

Notlongnow1 · 18/12/2018 03:48

@IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece glad you got it in the end! I'm so impressed too, especially with my poncho. Wish I'd got every colour at that price!

AlbusPercival · 18/12/2018 04:50

Just had lands end despatch information. They are only sending 1/6 blankets. No communication on it at all. No idea which one. Useless!
