Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Thanks to everyone for the help with confetti pops, I really do appreciate it - you are all just so wonderful Flowers

Dd not doing good, trying to avoid another hospital stay before Xmas but it’s looking likely, I’ve got to get everything finished in the next couple of days just in case.

Anyone have any ideas for an 18yo girl? She likes photography, marvel and dr who - I don’t know her well enough to ask what to get, budget around £20.
Also 13 & 10 yo boys, can only spend about a fiver each but preferably look more Blush

Dh was in game and he said there was loads of fortnite merchandise, including some funkos reduced to £8.

SleeptightDaisy · 17/12/2018 14:27

Just wondering if anyone has a spare m&s code?

starryeyedsnowgirl · 17/12/2018 16:26

@SleeptightDaisy if you have a sparks card try logging in to your account- I have 20% off at the moment and I never use it.

starryeyedsnowgirl · 17/12/2018 16:29

And congratulations reastie!!! I hope the HG passes- it must be awful.

I have been so focused on Christmas shopping (which I finished last night finally) that I have been ignoring my increasing girth and impeding arrival. Got my c-section date yesterday for the 7th of January and realised- shit that is only three weeks away!

PinkPanther27 · 17/12/2018 16:35

Congratulations Reastie 😀

MuppysMum · 17/12/2018 16:59

Many congrats reastie thinking of you with the hg - keep trying to find the food combos that you can tolerate Flowers For a pp who was suffering with morning sickness - a tip someone gave me that saved my sanity at the time was travel bands. Was so sceptical but worked for me just thought wd mention as I thought at time bonkers idea but was fab-u-lous for me personally!

Re; bargains did RL shopping today and managed to pick up some £3 xmas kids jumpers at Peacocks for jumper day was well pleased. HTH someone else too. Xmas Smile

Alanamackree · 17/12/2018 17:30

Smyths has loads of LOL houses if anyone still wanting one. (Dd6 is,luckily, not in to lol dolls)

chillimice · 17/12/2018 18:12

@Reastie and @BookMeOnTheSudExpress YES Grin I’m sure it was the moo-ing biscuit tin.. apart from the random troll, I quite miss the fact we haven’t had anyone come on to have a proper grinchy moan this year!

@PhannyMcNee you can’t go wrong with Lego for 6yos... there’s some great Lego city/Ninjago sets for just under £20 on amazon at the mo

Wenchelda · 17/12/2018 18:19

For anyone concerned about lands end orders, I've just been in touch with them via live chat as i'd ordered on Friday but not yet had despatch/confirmation email. They said the monogramming department is closed over the weekend so anything that needed personalising was done today and will be despatched tomorrow Smile

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 17/12/2018 18:44

My accessorize order has been delivered to a neighbour at number 58...we don’t have a 58! Slightly concerned my scarfy bargains will disappear into oblivion!

I vaguely remember the infuriation over mooing biscuit jars but can’t for the life of me remember why it happened!?

livingthegoodlife · 17/12/2018 18:50

I was looking for the Ordnance survey puzzle book. Thanks for the recommendation for The Works, illha e a look tomorrow.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/12/2018 18:51

There hasn't been a proper Grinchy moan. We have had bitch-plopping Lyn, however! Xmas Grin

IHope, who's the delivery co?

imsorryiasked · 17/12/2018 18:54

Sometime ago a poster wanted a sherpa fleece throw - Robert Dyas have these down to £9.99 pls additional 15% off before midnight tonight using code SANTA15.
Also, for the person looking for gifts for boys: RC flying drone/ helicopter things down to £9.99 less a further 15% if you use the code.

dizzygirl1 · 17/12/2018 18:59

I popped into the works today for the ordnance Survey Puzzle book-DH has just decided he liked it- none there and nothing online😭 are there any other bargains for it? I'm now probably looking for 3 of them! Waterstones had them but they were £14.99 each 😱

margaritasbythesea · 17/12/2018 19:05

I could start complaining about people chatting too much, if you like?

Or that posters are copying codes from HDUK?

Whichever pleases Xmas Grin

Jammiebammie - I'm sorry to hear about your dd. Flowers. I wonder if any of you giftees would like the Magniband smart phone camera lens?

It's a good stocking filler for teens and adults too. Got it for my brother last year and he liked it.

www.magniband.com/

Dolceandgabbana14 · 17/12/2018 19:14

I looked for the OS puzzle book as well but they didn't have it in The Works IRL. They had a copy in the local push card shop at full price but I couldn't bring myself to pay that knowing there are offers on it elsewhere. Had a look though and it was much thicker than I thought it would be. Would make a great gift!

imsorryiasked · 17/12/2018 19:16

@dizzygirl1 I think someone previously said it was in-store at Tesco?

goldengummybear · 17/12/2018 19:17

Margarita- I just bought a Magniband for dd. Perfect for her to have a play with.

Mipe · 17/12/2018 19:40

Congratulations Reastie, take care and hopefully you will feel better soon!

Jammiebammie I hope your dd is ok! For the 18 year old who likes photography maybe you could get her a photography lens ball? I had never heard of them but they look really cool and you can buy them on Amazon between £10-£20 Smile
