Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Hmslfc that’s hilarious! I’m definitely not in my 60s (although maybe I speak like I am!).

Congratulations Reastie! I've used these threads the last 2 years and bought from places I wouldn't normally have thought of, being a working mum I sit down most evenings from November and look through the threads. I'm anxious about getting the right presents for people and seeing what others are getting puts my mind at rest. You and the others who share codes are helping me and many others in more ways than just financially. The last 3 years one of my kids has been housebound for half of the time due to an illness that was fluctuating and unpredictable, they are better now (thank god to the NHS!) and it's been a big thing to get out more and browse round the shops. Just wanted to share that and say thank you, I have paid it on by telling my friends when I get the chance.

Congratulations Reastie!!!! Flowers

BobDobbs · 16/12/2018 14:27

Congratulations reastie! I am the wally who had two babies with birthdays close to Christmas so I use your threads for birthday as well as Christmas shopping, and I have no idea how I would do it without these threads Flowers

thaegumathteth · 16/12/2018 14:34

Congratulations reastie I had hyperemeis and ugh it’s so horrible that sick feeling. When people say ‘you’re pregnant not ill’ it makes me want to murder them.

Do you have one dd already? Sorry memory is awful!

CupoBlood · 16/12/2018 14:48

Massive congrats roastie x

Reastie · 16/12/2018 14:55

You’re all so lovely! I’m in bed this afternoon as I’m feeling so sick, it’s so miserable. I know I’m not ill and it’ll be worth it in the end but my goodness there’s a reason there’s been a big gap between dd1 and this pg as it took this long to forget how bad it was and think I could do it again! I’m sorry I’ve been so rubbish about keeping up with the threads and not posted much but I’ve been there in spirit. Dishevelled I’m sorry about the health issues of your dc but so glad this thread has helped, it’s lovely to hear how useful it is to people. I love not just the sharing of links and codes but also that people give ace suggestions and ideas and are so helpful.

Congratulations @Reastie! Hopefully this passes soon. I remember it well Confused, but glad to hear your lovely news... I was getting worried. When are you due?

M&S are churning out £5 off £40 spend food hall vouchers with every receipt this weekend... I have had four Blush. Handy for the coming weeks shopping.

margaritasbythesea · 16/12/2018 15:16

Congratulations Reastie. Im sorry you're feeling so ill. I Sympathise. I was ill all the way through with dd, but managed to get away with only the first few months with DS. Hope yours improves soon too.

Jammiebammie - I'm sorry. I have scoured all our local shops and can't find the confetti pops you're after. Will carry on looking but I'm not too hopeful.

YoufuckingkiddingmeRay · 16/12/2018 15:44

DD (3) has just announced she would like a mermaid family. Mummy, Daddy and baby, any ideas??!

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 16/12/2018 16:34

Orange- it was yonks ago as dd is now 15! But ELC did a whole under the sea range with mermaid families and shell houses etc. eBay may have someone emptying their attics?

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 16/12/2018 17:17

Thanks all for your ideas! Does anyone know if you can buy the cineworld gift pack in the cinema or just online? It’s a great idea, thanks again!

RenardeRenarde · 16/12/2018 17:25

On the cineworld FAQ page it says the gift packs are available online and in store - maybe ring to check they have stock if you’ll have to make a special journey though

Huffpot · 16/12/2018 17:32

Congratulations Reastie!
The Book People have 25% off their hand picked favourites and I also found the code POST10 gave me free delivery as well

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 16/12/2018 17:40

Thank you renarde! I couldn’t find that anywhere!

woodwaj · 16/12/2018 17:40

Congratulations reastie! I hope the sickness passes. And seen as we are playing guess the age..I'll go 38 🤣

SantasFavouriteHo · 16/12/2018 17:44

Congratulations Reastie! Auwwww, a little thread bump (depending on how far you are!)
Hope the sicky-ness passes soon, it's utterly crap

NoWordForFluffy · 16/12/2018 17:54

Congratulations, Reastie! I'm sorry you're still rough; let's hope it's short-lived.

I was awful with DD (not HG, but I was either being sick or feeling sick 24/7). With DS I had 2 appalling weeks then nothing. It was bizarre!

ShoopShoop · 16/12/2018 17:54

@orangemouth how about some of the Schleich Bayala range? They're really detailed and beautiful. I think if you sign up to the newsletter you get a money off code sent through. Not sure about delivery times though as I seem to recall they get sent from Germany (although probably available on Amazon too)
