Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

My dd has asked for a remote control car for her barbies. All the ones I’ve seen are either sold out or arriving after Christmas. Any of you expert shoppers spotted one on your travels either in rl or online. I haven’t been able to get anything on her list so far, she seems to just pick things that are either super popular or extremely rare and no where to be found.

NewDayBlankPage · 14/12/2018 23:03

The other thing I’m still looking for that i mentioned a few heads back is the skipper barbie doll with a pram. I know a few mnetters saw her in b&m but I haven’t found her my local one yet. Has she been spotted anywhere else?

woodwaj · 14/12/2018 23:10

Can anyone suggest a gift for my almost 4 year old. Someone has asked for ideas and I'm all out of suggestion! Up to £15, mad on vehicles just getting into spiderman. ASD and a little behind development wise. Hates jigsaws!

ZIGGY911 · 14/12/2018 23:24

Desperately need some help.

I ordered 2 contract phones on Black Friday, both with 100gb data on Vodafone for an amazing £36 month over 2 years.

My husband whose credit score was declined and mine was approved so I ordered a second phone in my name which has now been declined (even though a credit search as not actually been done)

Anyway, the issue is I now need to get an amazing sim only deal or another contract deal asap. Needs to be lots of data and a good monthly price, any ideas as with 10 days to go, I don't have much time.

Complained on twitter as think they just oversold the offer and so randomly rejected people.

TittyBoneGhoul · 14/12/2018 23:34

Ziggy I got that deal and it was one per person

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 14/12/2018 23:35

Sunshine, DS has mostly Pokémon bits this year. We got him some badges. They come in a box. It's the league badges. They were about £5 from eBay. Delivered in a couple days. He also has a load of cards and a deck holder and a binder to put them in.
B&m have some pokeball and plushies in. Under £10.
DS also has a Pikachu build a bear. Which was about spendy for a plush but he is lovely.

ZIGGY911 · 14/12/2018 23:54

that makes sense then, but husbands random rejection is still a mystery. Wish they had rejected me for my second handset 2 weeks ago when I originally applied. aargh! no idea what to do and who to give the 100gb too as a second contract will be no where near that offer.

Iggi999 · 15/12/2018 00:32

Still desperately looking for sonic figures for dd. All the ones I find are either out of stock, will arrive in Jan or have terrible reviews about them breaking. He wants the main people - sonic, tails, shadow and knuckles. Saw a Tails for £300!

Iggi999 · 15/12/2018 00:38

Anyone know where (a physical shop) you can buy team footballs - so like a Man U or arsenal ball, with the name on it. I know I could get online but I don’t have a pump so handier to get a ready-inflated one!

Jammiebammie · 15/12/2018 00:56

newday is this the skipper doll you are after?

woodwaj smyths have a cute little spiderman scooter here down to £15, it had the 2 wheels at the front for better balance, apologies if he wouldn’t be able to use one, but I thought it may be an idea.

ziggy what phone was it you were after? I got a couple phones through sky mobile for my older dds, they were cheaper than anywhere else I looked and with no upfront cost either.

We’re home now, and I’m shattered but can’t sleep!

Managed to get the echo’s reduced at amazon to £54.99 though which I’m glad about as I missed it last time. They seem to have been reducing a different echo product every day this week, so the pp who was after a dot should keep an eye out as they haven’t been on it yet.
I clicked the ‘don’t link to my account’ for this one, but didn’t for a dot I bought for my dn last month, will that be a problem does anyone know or is it easy fixed?

Jammiebammie · 15/12/2018 00:57

Oops woodwaj that was the wrong link sorry, try here

whatwillicallmyself · 15/12/2018 01:35

Hi sorry can't link but Lego set 60173 mountain rescue is £20 on Amazon €39.99 in smyths and €32.99 in Argos, might interest somebody.

thaegumathteth · 15/12/2018 01:36

Was about to say as above skipper and prom are available at smyths

Hawkins bazaar has a lot of their pre filled stockings reduced - most £20 (said to contain !£50 value and Star Wars ones £15

whenwillthetwitchstrike · 15/12/2018 01:48

Any tips on how to deal with Amazon is something is cheaper than it was when you bought it? DS is having a Lego set which I got for £65 in September; it's now £50. The returns window is obviously past. Do I have any hope if I kick up a fuss?

NewDayBlankPage · 15/12/2018 02:19

Thanks jammy, that’s the skipper but she’s out of stock for online delivery and not in any smyths near me unfortunately. Thank you for looking though, really appreciate it.

Jammiebammie · 15/12/2018 02:27

newday it says in stock for home delivery for me now?

Whenisitover · 15/12/2018 03:40

@Antichoosingausername - how about a subscription to The Week?
link here
It's a digested version of world news each week - either printed or digital version - useful while travelling?

AlbusPercival · 15/12/2018 05:29

I would say land end blanket would be perfect camp blanket

LostMyRubySlippers · 15/12/2018 05:56

iggi maybe sports direct? Or another big sports shop.
They def have lots of team stuff but it might be hit & miss as to which teams/ items..

ChristmasDaydreams · 15/12/2018 06:54

@frisky it was in store on the sale rails. Probably had about ten left, should have been £9.

thaegumathteth · 15/12/2018 07:31

@newdayblankpage it says home delivery available?

woodwaj · 15/12/2018 07:42

Thanks @jammiebammie I've suggested that!

2moveornot2move · 15/12/2018 08:26

Now Tv cinema, 2 months voucher for £12 at Tesco.

Every year the kids get a dvd and pj's on xmas eve but I couldn't settle on a dvd. Popped in to Tesco and bought a Now Tv voucher only to find it was 20% off at the till. As dvds cost around £10, I was thrilled at paying £12 for 2 months of movies 😃

duriandurian · 15/12/2018 08:52

@sunshineNdaisies My 5yo DS loves Pokemon mini figures. Usually get a bundle of a hundred on Amazon for £20 ish and smaller bundles commensurately cheaper. He sorts and carries and organises them.
