Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it [thanks

Evening - really hoping someone might have a £10 off a £30 spend voucher?

If so please would you be able to pm it to me? Wanting to do a shop for my little ones!
Thank you in advance xx

I can't remember who was looking for cheap headphones but I got these JVC over ear wireless headphones that I thought looked nice for a teenage girl (although they do other colours too!)

@BeauticianNotMagician81 I got a photo blanket from snapfish for my mum, and quality seems good, it's quite lightweight but feels really nice and soft. took about a week to get it. they've got 50% off with XMAS18 till the 9th

andadietcoke · 08/12/2018 19:27

MutedUser my Works order took a while to dispatch - I think they say 7 working days from the confirmation email and it was just within that.

sideorderofchips · 08/12/2018 19:35

Evening all
Anyone having problems with superdrug at the moment online? I did an order and it’s still not dispatched!

CookieSwirlC · 08/12/2018 19:40

Does anyone have any recommendations for a selection of gin miniatures or similar? Budget is £25 so the gin club linked above is no good for me unfortunately. I don’t drink and it’s for my dad and I have no clue!

Casablanca78 · 08/12/2018 19:45

I know the free Christmas toy box and Lego Duplo offers on Amazon have both been mentioned on here but just wanted to say that they stack on the same order. I placed an order for £34.99 and put both the free Duplo and Christmas box in my basket then entered both codes and it took both amounts off. Ordered arrived today with it all there!

Iggi999 · 08/12/2018 19:47

Im so sorry to read your update woahbodyform wishing you strength at this time and i hope some better news to come.

In a similar position to you beautician I bought my dm a pure silk pillowcase which is cool to sleep on. Amazon do them.

Casablanca78 · 08/12/2018 19:47

@CookieSwirlC - using the £15 off code the gin club box would be £25 though? Then you cancel the membership after receiving first one.

CookieSwirlC · 08/12/2018 20:03

It said delivery in January for that though didn’t it Casablanca78? Or have I not understood it? Blush

BWatchWatcher · 08/12/2018 20:07

It would be January. You could print something out for on the day?

Iggi999 · 08/12/2018 20:13

My aldi delivery of a fortnite toy has been put back from the 9th to the 21st! If im out i would not have time for it to be redelivered.

Casablanca78 · 08/12/2018 20:21

@CookieSwirlC oh maybe the December one has sold out now then as I’ve literally just had mine delivered.
Sipsmith do a really lovely boxed set of 6 minis which you can hang on the tree - it’s £25 but have seen on offer for £20. They also have mince pie and gingerbread Gins for £15.

margaritasbythesea · 08/12/2018 20:25

sideorderofchips - I'm having trouble with Superdrug too. I put in an order and the money has been taken but I did it as a guest, not through an account, and I never received an order confirmation email so now I'm worried and have no obvious way of chasing it up.

I'm going to leave it a few days and then have a go. Wish I had used PayPal as I usually do.

DD has somewhere seen a pineapple shaped diary that is lockable. I've looked in wh smith the works and Claire's so far but if anyone has seen or sees one on their travels could you please post.

When my father had stage 4 cancer he had great trouble keeping warm.

He also really liked it when I bought him a dvd of an old favourite film and we all watched it together on Christmas day.

Fork2fork · 08/12/2018 20:32

Sorry to hear there are so many people going through difficult times at the moment. Some lovely suggestions for presents for your loved ones.

Does anyone know when Lisa Angel is likely to have a sale? I am sure it had already started this time last year. DS11 wants to order a present for his girlfriend from there. Not sure the romance will last until Christmas so don't want him to spend too much of his pocket money 😊

CarrotVan · 08/12/2018 20:47

@cookieswirlc Master of Malt have a set of Lake Distruct gin baubles and Pickerings gin baubles both at £19.95

neddle · 08/12/2018 21:01

@casablanca78
I’ve had trouble using the duplo code, any ideas?
I’ve got a toy for £35 from amazon in my basket as well as the duplo farm set, but the code says invalid.

Dolceandgabbana14 · 08/12/2018 21:13

Admiring the strength and courage of posters who are going through a tough time at the moment Flowers

Any suggestions for a token gift for approx £5 for a vegan lady approx 20-25 years old? Not toiletries as she sells Tropic Skincare.

Also need ideas for a football season ticket holder, male, early 60s. He's got club clothes and I've bought him a reusable coffee mug already.

Also looking for nice blank gold and cream kitchen accessories - tea towels (that was the request!), oven gloves etc? Where can I go for decent quality Terry towelling tea towels?

I don't know where this week went to. I was doing really well and feeling organised but laryngitis has really knocked me back. Mustn't complain though, there are many who are far worse than me and my sniffles.

Casablanca78 · 08/12/2018 21:17

@neddle - is it definitely Amazon as the seller and not “fulfilled by”? Also doesn’t work on warehouse items.

Fork2fork · 08/12/2018 21:19

Aga oven gloves come in black & Cream and are fab quality

Casablanca78 · 08/12/2018 21:20

@neddle actually is it the farm set you have in your basket? I had the same issue as it’s out of stock with amazon so wouldn’t work. I had to switch to the other set instead

GreenKangaroo · 08/12/2018 21:34

sainsbury have loads for £3-5, just get a nice selection with a bottle of fever tree tonic hendricks, whitley neil, ophir

sunshineNdaisies · 08/12/2018 21:35

argh I twitched and got DD some llama pajamas using the new look code - she seems to be into llamas at the moment.

Where can I get a xmas eve box cheap? Not sure whether to do that idea or not though...

recklessgran · 08/12/2018 21:56

Just want to let everyone know that the code NOVCS20 is still working for 20% off at Monsoon. It stacks with already reduced stock - so, great if you're still looking for bargainous Christmas outfits.
