Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it [thanks

I’ve also bought the lightsaber for the local pub charity collection.

@ecofreckle I saw an absolutely gorgeous and soft light grey very fluffy full length dressing gown yesterday in Peacocks of all places. It really was gorgeous. I've just looked on their website as I read somewhere on here that they're doing 20% off but I can't see it on there. I would guess that it might have sold out online? May be worth going RL shopping? I admit I am terribly fussy but have to say I was impressed by the quality of some of the nightwear I saw in there.

recklessgran · 08/12/2018 13:20

Oh crumbs - thought I was all but done but twitched and bought 5 sweet trees and some personalised notebooks from Getting Personal.
Code VIP20 gets 20% off site wide.
Really must stop buying now.

An idea for Nurses (I am one). A handwritten letter of thanks explaining I just how they have helped you and why they are special. They will be able to use them for revalidation and are not easy to request.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/12/2018 13:30

I love the Blossom and Bloom BFG range which is currently reduced in boots. Has anyone see the BFG book and bath set any cheaper anywhere please.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/12/2018 13:31

Oops that would be bloom and Blossom

WoahBodyforrrm · 08/12/2018 14:12

@cheekyfucker that’s a lovely idea! I’ll definitely be doing that. She’s made a hard time so much easier by just being who she is. I have the upmost respect for nurses! Wonderful people Flowers

MutedUser · 08/12/2018 14:34

Has anyone else had trouble with the works . I ordered at the end of November and still not recieved anything . So frustrating .

Jammiebammie · 08/12/2018 15:50

So sorry to hear that woah sending well wishes your way Flowers Sounds like you’re keeping your spirits high Cake

Dd is back in hospital this weekend too actually, so I’m trying to online shop with terrible WiFi. I’m having issues with my orders from both Claire’s and also my Morphe order, seems to be the year of bugger ups with me!

Also, if anyone has a code for espa I would be very grateful, it’s mils favourite stuff and I would love to treat her as she’s just amazing, but it is a tad pricey.

QOD · 08/12/2018 15:54

I bought an echo, 3 dots and 4 WiFi plugs and now I wish I’d bought bayonet bulbs. Any bargains?

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/12/2018 15:55

@WoahBodyforrrm so sorry just read your post. You are amazing, thinking of someone else when you're so poorly. Thanks I'm sure your nurse will appreciate any gift you give as it will be completed unexpected.

thaegumathteth · 08/12/2018 16:05

Hope your dd is ok @jammiebammie

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/12/2018 16:30

@Jammiebammie hope your dd is ok and out of hospital soon.

We have MIL over for Christmas this year. DH is collecting her and taking her home. She has stage 4 cancer. So pretty difficult to buy for as nothing is going to make that better Sad. So far I have a designer scarf. Then I'm doing her a stocking too as we all have one. I've got a sanctuary set and will get some nice chocolates but anymore ideas for stocking or main presents gratefully received.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/12/2018 16:33

Converse is reduced at studio if that helps anyone

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 08/12/2018 17:24

@BeauticianNotMagician81 when my mom had stage 4, we bought her new clothes (she was losing so much weight), and personalised gifts like a necklace that had everyone's birthstones and a beautiful silver tree-shaped picture holder that we put photos of all the family in. Anything that she uses daily as well, you could buy her a newer, shinier or more lux version that will remind her of her near and dear during this hard time - blanket, slippers, nice pillows, etc

Sending positive thoughts to you and your mum, as well as @WoahBodyforrrm and @Jammiebammie and her family 💐

fleshmarketclose · 08/12/2018 17:26

Thanks for the Bloom and Wild code made a good saving on dsis's flowers I send every Christmas.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/12/2018 17:52

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts great ideas thank you. I like the photo tree idea. I had wondered about a photo blanket as well but not sure of the quality.

Tulipvase · 08/12/2018 18:03

Beautician, my mum had cancer a couple if years ago and when she was in and out of hospital, she loved a really soft blanket that her sister gave her. Just an idea.

Betsy86 · 08/12/2018 18:15

woah sending love Flowers

fairiesandelves · 08/12/2018 18:23

How about a cashmere wrap from turtle doves to keep her warm

fairiesandelves · 08/12/2018 18:25

Posted too soon. Fabulous quality and all recycled cashmere. They also do memory cashmere gloves - made from one of your or maybe your husband's old cashmere jumpers

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/12/2018 18:29

These are fab ideas. I'm about finished for everyone else but she's difficult to buy for m. That's the main reason I told DH to get her over for Christmas as I know the main thing she wants is quality time with the grandchildren.
