Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it [thanks

Thanks for all the replies the other night about the free wrapping at elemis. I managed to get it to work somehow although it wouldn't with a second order but still very happy with that.

Does anyone think there will be any deals on the new Amazon kindle Paperwhite? I want one but can't bring myself to pay £119.

NewDayBlankPage · 02/12/2018 17:13

Can anyone help with this?
My god daughter doesn’t want a present from us , she’d like to ‘do’ something with us, bless her. I guess like some kind of experience? Budget around £20-25. She’s eight. Any ideas? Cinema vouchers might be an idea but if there’s something a bit more unusual / inventive that anyone can think of I’d love to hear it. She asked for the same last year and we got her build a bear vouchers and took her the shop. She loved the experience of stuffing it, naming it etc.

Elphaba17 · 02/12/2018 17:13

Reastie hope you are on the mend soon. It's a stessful enough time of the year without throwing illness into the mix!

Elphaba17 · 02/12/2018 17:16

If you can't think of something don't be afraid to do the build a bear voucher again. My DD would absolutely love that as a present and the novelty of making a bear never seems to wear off.

Drummingisfun · 02/12/2018 17:18

Thanks Reastie
I stepped away for a day to do real life stuff and I've missed about 15 pages and there's a whole new thread!

Anyone wanting a bargain xmas tree, homebase have £12 nordman fir until stocks last. They are a bit less bushy than the full price ones but frankly once my kids habe decorated it, it will look awful anywayGrin

I am still shopping for my OH birthday which is on Wednesday. I've got about 12 hours left to amazon prime stuff... And I'm panicking! My efforts to go real life shopping last week were spoiled by two sick children.

Pebblesandfriends · 02/12/2018 17:23

Sounds like a big hint for another build a Bear voucher to me @Newdayblankpage

MummaPI · 02/12/2018 17:23

I have missed loads so apologies if this has already been discussed.
Echo dot 3rd generation, reduced during black Friday and then impossible to find. Amazon basket saying mid January.
Don't suppose anyone has found any?

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 02/12/2018 17:25

Best wishes for all those who are poorly. This is why I like to get on top of Xmas shopping - been caught out with illnesses before.
I’m still on the hunt for a true thread bargain to share with everyone.

whenwillthetwitchstrike · 02/12/2018 17:26

Newday - how active are you & your goddaughter? DD would love a trip to the trampoline park (about £10pp), roller disco (about £6pp) or Go Ape (about £16pp)

purplepandas · 02/12/2018 17:29

Agree wit whenwill, Go Ape, trampoline park, Build a Bear or cinema would be great here. We have arts and craft places too. Pottery painting? Bowling? Pizza out?

PinkSubscriber · 02/12/2018 17:32

MummaPI Argos have them dots in. I picked 2 up yesterday and I’ve got one on order coming in this week.

Girlsnightin · 02/12/2018 17:32

My 3rd gen echo is now coming a week earlier so in time for Xmas. M8ght be worth ordering and cancelling if found elsewhere.

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 02/12/2018 17:36

Thanks for the new thread reastie, hope you are feeling rather soon.
Not sure why I'm here, because I'm almost done.
Has anyone ever done Santa at twin lakes? Thinking of taking the DC this year as we have a pass and it would actually be cheaper than Sant in our town. Plus it's a whole day out.

MummaPI · 02/12/2018 17:44

Thanks both
None of the Argos shops near me have them and no option for delivery.
I've ordered from Amazon but saying Jan 30th for delivery. I'll keep an eye on that one.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 02/12/2018 17:54

Evening all.
Haven't done much shopping this weekend but have put the tree up. I did order the HP bundle though, thanks for tip off!

thaegumathteth · 02/12/2018 18:02

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 02/12/2018 18:03

margaritasbythesea · 02/12/2018 18:10

Newday - what about ice skating?

Thanks for the new thread Reastie. Hoping you're on the mend soon. Flowers

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 02/12/2018 18:17

Feeling better soon

TheDrsDocMartens · 02/12/2018 18:23

I really should be done

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 02/12/2018 18:25

Thanks for the new thread @Reastie hope you feel better soon Thanks

We bought the £12 6ft real tree from Homebase. We have used ours outside and it looks beautiful. We also got some more Christmas lights and they are all 20% off in Homebase.

Has anyone seen the Decleor calendar reduced. Might treat myself.

Thanks to everyone that replied about my amazon order. They replied to me but are refunding me and not sending out replacements which is a little annoying as the nerf guns are now expensive again. Sad

andadietcoke · 02/12/2018 18:36

newdayblankpage how about an afternoon tea somewhere?

Yeknom · 02/12/2018 18:40

Happy new thread, and a get well soon Reastie!

So annoying my dad has now asked for slippers. Does anyone have any M&S vouchers still knocking around? I gave mine away on here :(

I also now need some of the men's Hugo Boss fragrance. Vaguely remember someone posting a deal a few threads back but I can't find it....

leeloo1 · 02/12/2018 18:42

I'm sure the decleor calendar was reduced at lookfantastic.com and there was a 20% off code on the last thread too.
