Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

For the person who was looking for a £10 gift (might have been secret Santa type thing) i've been dithering over a limericks mug from etsy (on kindle so can't link) by company called Midlife Dramas in Pyjamas.
Loads of names but the one for my secret Santa is funny but a bit rude and I'm in a quandary about whether she'll be offended!

Allhallowseve · 27/11/2018 07:06

If anyone spots a barganous singing dancing annoying Christmas hamster/ reindeer/ Santa type thing . Please can you give me a shout . My ds loves them but I really don’t want to spend £20 on something that will last 20 minutes!

margaritasbythesea · 27/11/2018 07:22

A word of warning about Amazon Warehouse deals. We've had things that were perfect apart from having been opened. Because of this last time I didn't bother checking the contents of DS 's birthday Lego set and when we came to build it, some bits were faulty, including the really cool bit he wanted the set for . DS was very miffed with me.

As i say, we've had some great bit, but check your things over well when they arrive.

If anyone is still looking for a sprocket Robert Dyas have them for £99 Which seems a good price? Code FREEDEL50 for free delivery over £50. I'm sure I saw a litter code for 15% off too but can't see it now.
Small cashback on usual sites.

CheekyFucker · 27/11/2018 07:50

@Penguinbeaver unless it has 'cunt' emblazoned all over it, I am sure it will be fine.

CheekyFucker · 27/11/2018 07:51

Oops, sorry that was for @bertdynamite. Sorry @Penguinbeaver Blush

amilosingitor · 27/11/2018 08:23

Does anybody know the most bargainous way of buying 3 iPad minis [santa]

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 27/11/2018 08:24

Does anyone know where I can get these-preferably in a store rather then online?

I want to get some for a friends gift and I’m absolutely sure I’ve seen them somewhere but I can’t for the life of me work out where!

North London doesn’t do quite the trade in Scottish goods that you’d imagine Wink

Daft question but if an item is advertised in £ but to be paid in euros - do I get charged by my bank or anyone for that?

NoWordForFluffy · 27/11/2018 08:46

Depends on your bank. You'd have to check. If you can use PayPal they'll deduct in GBP for you.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 27/11/2018 08:53

@amilosingitor I'm getting DH his iPad from sky as we are all with sky mobile so it works out the cheapest. I'm undecided on the regular sized or mini.

Gutted I missed out on spiderman for the PS4. It's now gone up to full price everywhere but there was no stock available yesterday anywhere near me Sad

Justyou · 27/11/2018 09:37

Thank you

flooredbored · 27/11/2018 09:37

I always buy caramel logs in the poundshop. I love tunnocks chocolate!

I've managed to miss the Kindle fire tablets, argh! Do you think they'll be reduced again before Christmas or have I totally missed the boat?

akmum18 · 27/11/2018 10:04

Disney store 3 for 2 today

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 27/11/2018 10:09

@madeofpaper I don't think they will go down again before Christmas. I think some went in the sale on Christmas Eve last year though but obviously a bit last minute. Could possibly get one from Argos on Christmas Eve if they do.

MadeOfPaper · 27/11/2018 10:10

Thanks, that's what I thought really. It's my own fault for hesitating!

@MadeOfPaper if it makes you feel any better I missed out on PS4 games as well by hesitating SadPlus ds3 wants the Harry Potter great hall and I missed any deals on that as he's only just asked for it

MadeOfPaper · 27/11/2018 10:24

It's gutting isn't it?! I can't bring myself to pay full price for it now. I wish they would do another post-payday Black Friday!

rosablue · 27/11/2018 10:34

Another one who missed out last night - had a list of stuff to get, one of the things was perfume for my mum so rang the check if she wanted eau de toilette or eau de parfum, ended up doing several bits for her as I was online and she doesn’t use computers, then raced through my bits, did an Argos order for tu clothes thinking great, looks like some of their discounts are on until Tuesday night if anyone else’s missed them (and the shirt I wanted for dh was out of stock on the tu site!) and the tu stuff mostly had the discount still showing - but it had gone from the payment page so back to full price. So near and yet so far... hey ho.

Iggi999 · 27/11/2018 10:48

Have ventured into real world shopping - went to Primark to look for a hedwig hot water bottle I saw before (couldn’t buy as had the child with me) and they are no more. Picked up loads of other tat though! Lots of Harry Potter stuff and grinch clothes too

ThePurpleGirl · 27/11/2018 10:50

Thanks for all the bargains - I'm drowning in green and blacks chocolates bought in the initial Amazon flurry and then more in the Amazon Pantry deal, got the pathetic fibre optic Christmas tree instead of the lamp, got a Monsoon deal, and many more besides.
I've seen several people looking for Groot things - I have no idea what they are but there's a 15" talking plush Groot currently on an Amazon deal for £24.99 instead of £35.99 if anyone's interested. It's buried 9 pages into a toy deal so thought people might not have seen it.
Four weeks today!! [santa]
