Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Where does one buy a lock picking kit and what locks should one pick? Confused

hoopdeloop · 26/11/2018 20:03

Nails Inc have their Christmas crackers reduced to £10 for 6 full size nail polishes. Definitely good value and could be split up for people

imsorryiasked · 26/11/2018 20:06

@polkapjs any themes/ characters she likes?

DeezMutts · 26/11/2018 20:08

@Polkapjs Saltrock have some hoodies for £15 in the sale plus CYBER25 gives another 25% so £11.25? Not sure about delivery though. www.saltrock.com/collections/womens-hoodies-fleeces

Polkapjs · 26/11/2018 20:12

Love the promarkers tip. Got some for dd. Any ideas for book like ‘Ripleys ‘ for 13 year old dd?

LokiBear · 26/11/2018 20:36

Thanks Reastie! Feel better soon!
So, I am in need of a little help. My lovely brother spoils my girls rotten every year. I tried to suggest to him that he shouldnt buy anything for me and dh as it is expensive for him to buy for 4 of us. However, he has Aspergers (very high functioning - you would not realise in general conversation) and is a little bit 'Sheldon Cooper' when it comes to gift giving - his answer to 'it must be expensive for you to buy for 4 so please dont buy for me and dh' was 'just buy me another gift to even it up'. He doesnt have a gf or kids of his own, but I cant really afford to spend £100 on him. I have another brother and would need to spend the same on both. So far, I have bought him a battery pack off his amazon wish list and some chocolate goodies. Ive spent about £30. I need to get him something else for £20 but Id like it to look expensive. I have no idea what. He is goimg on a tour to Vietnam and Cambodia in March so I wondered if there was something travel related I could get him but I dont know what. Any (bargainous) ideas?

FrederickCreeding · 26/11/2018 20:45

Loki what about things like those travel towels that fold up really small? Maybe a couple of guide books or other travel-related things too?

Gardenworm · 26/11/2018 20:49

@LokiBear have a look at Gandys www.gandyslondon.com run by brothers whose family were big into travel (there's an amazing story behind them). They have lots in sale, t-shirt, flip flops, wash bags etc

FrederickCreeding · 26/11/2018 20:49

this sort of thing

Elpheba · 26/11/2018 20:51

@lokibear what about a dock and bay travel towel? Fun and bright colours and very useful- we keep one in the car during the summer

Tildero · 26/11/2018 20:51

Checking in again. Thanks for the new thread

SantasFavouriteHo · 26/11/2018 20:53

Checking in - even though I am DONE!

LokiBear · 26/11/2018 20:56

I love the towel. I could out together a kit for him, maybe include some silly things too. Thanks! Xx

Notlongnow1 · 26/11/2018 21:09

Second Gandys - I bought my brother a pair of their flip flops when he went travelling.

Coffeeonthesofa · 26/11/2018 21:10

@lokibear not really bargainous but if he travels a lot , check out El Camino travel bracelets, a basic bracelet would meet your budget then he could add the beads for all the countries he visits.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 26/11/2018 21:12

Eurgh Ds3 has decided he wants the Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall. Tell me what great price dis I miss it at Sad

Justyou · 26/11/2018 21:14

Daft question but if an item is advertised in £ but to be paid in euros - do I get charged by bank or anyone for that?

thaegumathteth · 26/11/2018 21:17

@maranello have you had a response?

Pebblesandfriends · 26/11/2018 21:26

@Loki what about a 'travel essentials box'? You could get him playing cards, a few books, soduku, insect repellent etc...

LikeSilver · 26/11/2018 21:32

Thank you for the Amazon Warehouse deals tip - I got DD the last Polly Pocket set at a good price.

DailyMailDontStealMyThread · 26/11/2018 21:36

I went rl shopping today, I’d forgotten how hideous it would be!

House of frasier had large discounts on their agent calendars. I picked up a nail, varnish one for £15 - I’ll split it up for stockings. Also had Baileys ones and Reece’s chocolates. Also picked up 3 for 2 brownies in a mug sets.
