Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

What about something magic or circus related like a magic set, diabolo, stilts, devil sticks for the nephew?

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 15:11

not sure, I'll have a look.

I do know he's obsessed with pokemon and marvel atm. Oh and computer games. He has a nitendo switch and an xbox I think.

Iggi999 · 01/12/2018 15:12

Ohmygodtheykilledkenny I got a lovely Sherpa one from costco last year, about £15 (I’m not a member) mine was not knitted on the other side but they mighty have that.

FLASH20 gets 20% off the fragrance shop

fairiesandelves · 01/12/2018 15:17

Thanks so so much for Elemis code. Another prez sorted ! :-)

NewDayBlankPage · 01/12/2018 15:22

Birchbox haven’t taken anything from me but I will cancel the further boxes now. I was worried that if I did this I wouldn’t get the November boxes?
Thanks so much for all the info and bargains you’ve given me so far. I’m still looking for something for my dad and fil that’s smelly-ish. I looked at Elemis and they didn’t really have any nice men’s bits. Budget around £30 (got a shower gel for my mum from elemis so thanks so much pp who posted code. Sorry totally forgotten your name).
After something small for my bils too, maybe like something for around £10 (but looks like it was more hehe).

ducksandacorns · 01/12/2018 15:23

Several presents bought thanks to this thread, thank you!

Could anyone help with a gift for a couple, they are foodies, love 'nice' makes, not a fan of matching type gifts...£30 budget?!

NewDayBlankPage · 01/12/2018 15:33

How about a hamper ducks? That’s usually my go-to for couples but I thought I’d better go for something different this year so they don’t get fed up of hampers. Debenhams and bhs have had hampers discounted in previous years.

Carrie76 · 01/12/2018 15:33

Can anyone recommend a stick on window bird feeder? I got the idea from here but no idea which one to buy!

NewDayBlankPage · 01/12/2018 15:34

In previous years I have reminded people around this time to tune into Santa radio. It’s an internet station and is just so lovely and festive especially when wrapping presents, putting up decorations, doing Xmas baking or crafts etc Xmas Smile

BestofLuck · 01/12/2018 15:37

Has anyone seen any offers on magazine subscriptions? Specifically The Garden magazine by RHS as my dad enjoyed that when he got is a part of RHS membership some time ago.

imsorryiasked · 01/12/2018 15:41

@sunshineNdaisies have a look on character.com they have Pokemon and Avenger stuff.

ZIGGY911 · 01/12/2018 15:42

How do you cancel the Birchbox as I’ve not done mine as not received it yet. Aargh!

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 15:45

thanks will do

Wondering if I should get Dniece something else now. The birchbox is for her, wonder if the boxes will be big enough / full enough for her. She has expensive make up tastes...

Changingagain · 01/12/2018 15:56

carrie76 we got this one a while ago. It sticks well and is easy to clean. I'd go for the same, or at least same make, again if I was buying another.

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 16:07

right. DNephew all sorted, provided it arrives in time from china bites nails amazon said between 19th and 30th december arrrgh should have checked before I bought it. It's a pokemon night light. Also got him some pokemon cards as a stocking filler.

Just a few wee extras for Dniece aged 15 now

fleshmarketclose · 01/12/2018 16:32

Thank you for the Elemis code got the handwash for my dd.

Carrie76 · 01/12/2018 17:07

@Changingagain thanks for that just bought 3 of them!

MsMiaWallace · 01/12/2018 17:16

Any AO discount codes around? It would be greatly received!!

TamiTayorismyparentingguru · 01/12/2018 17:16

Ooh - thankyou for the suggestions re: Windsor gifts for DC. The jigsaw is inspired! Have ordered one for the older two DC to share and then Harry & Meghan colouring books for the wee ones.

Thank you also to the poster who suggested the Windsor gift shop - I love some of the wee things on there but have decided to leave them as I suspect the DC will want to buy themselves a small souvenir when we get there

Mustangsallyis · 01/12/2018 17:17

Thanks for the Elemis code @Choconuts
I have bought 2 x hand washes and 2 x hand and nail creams to make two gifts with. Very happy 😊

trixymalixy · 01/12/2018 17:18

Can anyone tell me how to claim my free gift from the elemis website. My mum used my referral code and that gave me a code for a free gift but I cannot find where to put the code to claim it. Can anyone help?!

SleeptightDaisy · 01/12/2018 17:33

Has anyone seen a code for sandy leaf farm for the cheese and gin making kits before I order for sil and ds?

thaegumathteth · 01/12/2018 17:51

Thanks so much @TamiTayorismyparentingguru I really appreciate your help

SantasFavouriteHo · 01/12/2018 17:53

@TamiTayorismyparentingguru - I read your user name as Tim Taylor (as in Tim Allen in 90s show 'home improvement') and thought it was a fairly odd choice!
