Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@buckeejit Or have a look on musicroom.com - lots of ideas from cheap to expensive.

For example - Beatles or Pink Floyd picks, guitars shaped fly seater, music themed stationery, handkerchiefs, Fender coasters through to a cigar box guitar kit (although that is available for half the price in The Works at the moment for £20).

So probably worth looking on google and eBay too for anything that you like to double check on prices...

I’ve been catching up this morning and the doorbell just rang. A huge parcel handed over to me and I couldn’t for the life of me work out what it could be. Opened to find the most amazing Glossybox advent calendar and Karl L box. Thanks to whoever posted.

maybeitsbecauseim · 01/12/2018 10:57

@TamiTayorismyparentingguru - as a token royal-related thing, how about some treats from Prince Charles’s Duchy Originals brand? Their biscuits are lovely - and hopefully the DC will share Wink
Or possibly a jigsaw of the castle they could all do together?

flooredbored · 01/12/2018 11:44

Thanks for the Elemis tip. The John Lewis beauty advent is now half price...aWink gift for myself.

ZIGGY911 · 01/12/2018 12:42

Thanks for the Fortnite toys tip. Smyths toys shelves did have them all but by the time I’d paid they were pretty much gone. Didn’t know about these ones so pleased I read it here

SantasFavouriteHo · 01/12/2018 12:55

Not really Christmas related but anyone know where I can get a cheap, warm/waterproof boys coat, size 9/10? Ds1 has just ripped along the seam under his arm and I really don't have the budget to spend loads on a new one, not the month to be replacing basics! Thanks

ILovePandas · 01/12/2018 13:05

@Choconuts thanks for the Elemis code

BluthsFrozenBananas · 01/12/2018 13:10

Thanks for the John Lewis calendar tip, I just bought one.

Santas I was in in Mountain Warehouse earlier, I wasn’t looking at coats as DH was buying some waterproof dog walking shoes, but they looked liked they had lots of warm, waterproof coats at reasonable prices.

rosablue · 01/12/2018 13:13

@SantasFavouriteHo Try Sports Direct, Go Outdoors (worth getting their £5discount card as it makes things much cheaper for a year), Decathlon, Costco (if you have a card of know someone who does) and Moyntain Warehouse - not sure if the latter still has a good sale on, they did earlier in the week!

Sarahclacko · 01/12/2018 13:18

Has anyone got a spare Marks and Spencer 20% off code? I posted mine on here and now need one for necklace and bracelet for sisters Christmas present

Alanamackree · 01/12/2018 13:19

Jo Malone have an online advent calendar with a different offer for each day. No idea if there’ll be anything particularly good.

Iggi999 · 01/12/2018 13:23

Working on ds to persuade him a Fitbit would be preferable to an Apple Watch. Hope you’ve all enjoyed opening your advent calendar today!

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 13:43

any aftershave deals?

Still completely stuck for Dnephew(5) present. I know he likes the avengers and pokemon but he seems to have everything already.

Help anyone?

LostMyRubySlippers · 01/12/2018 13:44

Anyone who ordered the birch box Black Friday deal don’t forget to cancel!!! I hadn’t done as haven’t received my BF boxes yet but they have already billed me for December Confused so I’ve cancelled now

linetta1 · 01/12/2018 13:47

Harry Potter 7 book collection in aldi on Thursday 6th, £29.99. Think you can preorder online tomorrow

OldBrownShoe · 01/12/2018 13:49

@sunshinendaisies does he have any Lego superheroes sets? They make them to tie in with the films.

Also antman and the wasp dvd is released on Monday.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 01/12/2018 13:52

Has anyone seen any good quality, nice looking throws?

I'm looking for one that ideally is knitted on one side with that really soft (sherpa?) fleece on the other in grey. Quite large too.

I've got one that was an amazing bargain from Amazon back in the summer (saw it here on MN) - IIRC it was only £10 delivered instead of about £25 but they haven't been available since. TBH if I'd known how lovely it was going to be I would have bought a couple

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 14:06

FFS re birchbox. I was worried they would do that. Going to check now, the CFs

NoWordForFluffy · 01/12/2018 14:10

Didn't somebody warn about Birchbox doing that?

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 14:19

I can't see that birchbox have taken any additional payments, I can only see one payment to them.

On another note, I can see two D/D payments to PSL. Who the fuck are they? I'm wondering if it's an acronyism I don't understand or one of my genuine D/Ds under a different name. Anyone know what this might mean? Going to ask DH as maybe he's set something up

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 14:23

panic over. It's to do with my new car payments. DH knows cars more than I do

margaritasbythesea · 01/12/2018 14:31

I've just seen Big, real Christmas trees in Home Bargains for 9.99

Groupon are selling £10 Starbucks vouchers for £5 again, I can’t remember if it’s account/region specific, but worth checking.

My dd has become the master of asking for obscure presents. As well as ice cream (!) she’s now added broken squishies to her list Shock because she wants to fix and paint them (thanks YouTube). Any ideas where I can get really cheap squishies, that Im going to have to rip?? Lol.

FrederickCreeding · 01/12/2018 14:42

Tami what about something from here for Windsor castle related gifts?

www.royalcollectionshop.co.uk/gifts/royal-residences/windsor-castle.html

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 14:52

Dnephew is not really into lego, nor cuddly toys.
