Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

That’s so annoying drumming! I’d write back and complain saying it was bad customer service and they should have either not allowed the code to be processed in the first place, or contacted you before now.

Desperate plea here (sorry I hate doing this) Has anyone seen any l.o.l confetti pop dolls anywhere?? My dd is obsessed with them, she’s disabled and autistic and only likes the confetti pop series, but I’m struggling to find them anywhere! It’s the only thing she’s asked for too, can’t believe I never started looking before now! I’ve checked Tesco, Asda, smyths, entertainer and b&m. They’re far too expensive on amazon, and I’m worried about them being fake on eBay (she’d definitely notice). Has anyone got any bright ideas?? Gaah, I blame being busy concentrating on the advent calendar for her big sis Blush

@HalfBloodPrincess Look for the Amarone or Valpolicella Ripasso in Aldi. Both fantastic and a real treat. I think Amarone is £12 and Valpolicella £8 from memory.

Can I vote for 'Kevin the carrot wrapping paper is evil, it's covered the cat in glitter' as the next thread title please - made me Xmas GrinXmas GrinXmas Grin

margaritasbythesea · 27/11/2018 15:06

That was me about the crackers DelurkingAJ. Thanks. That's a bit of some genius!

margaritasbythesea · 27/11/2018 15:07

That was meant to say something different, but never mind!

shumway · 27/11/2018 15:08

25% off at M&Co with code WONDER25 and free delivery too. Got my sister a jumper.

Maranello · 27/11/2018 15:14

@Jammiebammie Argos seems to have the LOL confetti:

www.argos.co.uk/product/7922497

Maranello · 27/11/2018 15:16

(I'm guessing that is the right kind of LOL confetti - I don't know anything about LOL dolls Grin)

Jammiebammie · 27/11/2018 15:18

Thank you maranello that’s the one yes, but it says it’s not available in any Argos stores at all, neither are the little sister versions. I don’t know if they’re being discontinued perhaps.

GruffaloStick · 27/11/2018 15:22

Does anyone have any bargain suggestions for Christmas ink stamps? I was going to decorate tags and brown paper with DD but everyone seems to have the same idea and Hobbycraft have sold out. I've seen some beautiful ones that are £15+ each, unfortunately the budget doesn't quite stretch that far

Maranello · 27/11/2018 15:29

That's frustrating, @Jammiebammie. I see Amazon has a two-pack due in stock on 3rd December - no idea if this is a good price or not though! Good luck, my DS has ASD so I know that pressure of getting just the right thing.

Jammiebammie · 27/11/2018 15:31

gruffalo they’ve actually got loads of clear ink stamps in the craft section at Poundland, I was so surprised!

The works also have these if any good?

Jammiebammie · 27/11/2018 15:34

Oh maranello they would be perfect (right price too) but they won’t add to my basket? Do you think that’s because they’re not in stock yet? Is so hard making sure you get the right thing isn’t it, it’s like stepping on eggshells sometimes!

SimplyPut · 27/11/2018 15:37

@Jammiebammie they seem to have been only something LOL did over the summer. DD loved them but they have vanished.

toy game centre have them but almost £16 each

Perhaps call your local independent toy shop and explain your predicament?

ladybee28 · 27/11/2018 15:45

@GruffaloStick do they need to be proper stamps?

DSS and I had a blast with a craft knife, a few potatoes and a felt-tip-pen making ink stamps this year...

Jammiebammie · 27/11/2018 15:46

Thanks simply we don’t have an independent toy shop unfortunately, the only toy shop we have for miles is a tiny entertainer and they’ve said they can’t guarantee what they get on each delivery. I think I’ll have to bite the bullet and pay extra, gawd I’m kicking myself!

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 27/11/2018 15:49

gruffalo do you have a Flying Tiger near you? I got some lovely ones for just that purpose! They were £3 I think

lookingforbaubles · 27/11/2018 15:53

@Jammiebammie have you looked on your local facebook market place - there is always lol dolls on there

SimplyPut · 27/11/2018 16:01

Good luck @Jammiebammie

RemyRelax · 27/11/2018 16:07

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 27/11/2018 16:11

IHopeYouTread- [sgrin] I was hoping it was that annual nutter that comes on and bitches about us as well!

Thanks for the Look Fantastic Decleor tip- can't remember who said it, but just got dd a nice gift set of lip balm, moisturiser and facial wash for £25 delivered which is brill for Decleor. Flowers

I MUST order wrapping paper now. I cannot buy anything else till I've done that. I shall do it with half an ear on the doorbell as the DHL man is bringing me what I think is an echo dot shortly. [sblush]

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 27/11/2018 16:12

Oh, the Christmas emojis haven't been switched on yet. Grump

GruffaloStick · 27/11/2018 16:16

Thank you for the suggestions, you're such a helpful bunch. Looks like I need to take a real life shopping trip to the 'big town'! I wouldn't have thought of poundshops so good call.

Ladybee oh I fondly remember doing potato prints with my DM. Unfortunately my craft skills haven't got any better since. DD (age 2) would probably try to eat them too!

bluesky · 27/11/2018 16:16

@halfbloodprincess

Tesco have a wine offer on at the moment, 25% off if you buy 6 bottles

Not sure of your budget, but two good ones are:

Red: Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages From £11 down to £8.50
White: Louis Jadot Macon Villages currently £9

6 bottles = £60, take off the 25% = £45, and it works out at £7.50 per bottle.

Or slightly cheaper the Wairau Cove, the Red is a Merlot (£7.50) and the white can either be a Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc (£7 per bottle)
Totalling £5.45 per bottle.

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 27/11/2018 16:18

@linetta1 Magpieline.com have record boxes I think - around the £30 mark.
