Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

FekkoThePenguin · 28/10/2018 19:37

Too many monkeys (card game) 'hello, my name is Chip!' (We say that a lot around here)

Re: my request ....not games, more of a thing they can pick up and fiddle with, play with on their own

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 28/10/2018 20:19

This is a really stupid question. I'm having one of those moments when your mind goes blank and you can not think of the answer.

Sainsbury's 25% off ends tomorrow. That means tomorrow is the last day right? Not today is the last day. Just spotted some boots but would need to try on before I buy.

imsorryiasked · 28/10/2018 20:47

@OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny have a look at Smart IQ games, most of them are single player.

Iwannasnack · 28/10/2018 20:54

ohmygod something like a bop it?
timeformy10thcuppa it started on Tuesday so I would presume it will still be on tomorrow

RussellTheLoveMuscle · 28/10/2018 20:56

Juggling balls? £1.99 for set of three on Amazon.

Raindancer411 · 28/10/2018 20:59

Heads up for anyone with nectar points. Sainsbury this year are allowing up to £100 of points to be doubled up. It's on any department so don't have to go and specify the area you want it for this year. From 12/11

NoWordForFluffy · 28/10/2018 21:01

You can convert points online this year too. From tomorrow, I believe.

Betsy86 · 28/10/2018 21:02

10thcuppa ends monday (tomorrow) at midnight xx

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 28/10/2018 21:05

Thank you.

Pixie2015 · 28/10/2018 21:10

Screwball scramble - dooble (card game) - Rubik race are great for kids / teens to play on Christmas Day and even better for adults after a glass of wine x

Wait4nothing · 28/10/2018 21:34

@Ohmygodtheykilledkenny

How about rush hour here

Notlongnow1 · 28/10/2018 21:48

I'm assuming I've completely missed the M&S boat?? My husband has just decided he needs a new suit!

TittyBoneGhoul · 28/10/2018 22:00

Flipside or bounce off for the teens

CoffeeAndEnnui · 28/10/2018 22:13

@OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny, how about a couple of Jacob's Ladders? We have one in our living room and everyone from toddlers to the velly 'mature' picks it up for a go.

If you've never seen one they work like an optical illusion as the pieces tumbling down. There's a knack to it but it's simple to master so jolly Christmas Day friendly!

This would be a super bargainous option for your two (it's lovely quality and a fab price) but if you, or anyone, has readers to buy for this beauty is the loveliest I've seen. They do a children's book version too...

CoffeeAndEnnui · 28/10/2018 22:14

*tumble

IHeartKingThistle · 28/10/2018 22:21

I'm late to the party but I'm ready to shop now! So glad I found you all!

@OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny I'm quite fond of this find it game

Like a PP I'm looking for a child's greatest showman costume but don't want a cheapo one or one that'll break the bank. Think it might be a case of assembling our own...?

I have annoying DC who 'just want surprises' so will be on here stressing about what to get them quite frequently I suspect!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 28/10/2018 22:22

(You can do a really cool magic trick with them too. Making pennies mysteriously vanish...Ooo! There are bound to be vids on YouTube to show them how.)

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 28/10/2018 22:44

Thank you for the ideas.

I love the "book" Jacobs Ladder , although we already have a basic one. Rush Hour is a great suggestion, along the right lines, but we have that too.

mamabluestar · 28/10/2018 22:51

My son wants a telescope for Christmas and we are getting a couple of star themed gifts to go with it.

I've just come across this - it says that there is a 15% voucher but in the promotion box there's 80% off

happy puzzle for individual puzzles and quirky games. Harder to browse the website but they may still do a paper catalogue...
