Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Any ideas for lego for a 6 year old boy? Haven't bought lego for years. Probably £25-£30

ChoccyJules · 23/10/2018 18:34

Aw, Overdrive doesn’t seem to work in Cambs. Now I’ve installed it...

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 23/10/2018 18:37

Lucky I'm buying Star Wars Lego for my similar aged boy. But I never think you can go wrong with police themed Lego, tbh.

Does this look like something your sister would like?

Some good bargains in Home bargains... Bounce off game for £5.99 and sequin art kits for only £3.99. I’ve bought both a few years back at full price do they’re definitely a bargain!

@TeaPleaseTa it’s lovely but I don’t think so. Her style is quite androgynous and 80s, the sort of stuff that would make me look like a nutter but she looks like a model
I’m debating whether she’d appreciate a nice men’s watch. She’s tricky!!

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 23/10/2018 19:52

@riotlady bit of a curve ball perhaps but what about this sort of thing?

MrsPear · 23/10/2018 20:15

luckyluckywoman Argos has a sale on -20% off Lego.

NoHufflefucksGivenMugglefucker · 23/10/2018 20:32

That were sold out

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 23/10/2018 20:38

Here is a random question. Does anyone know where I can get these plushies from.
I'm looking for a wondering plushie. She has a square head and is about 11 inches tall. It's one of the ones you get in the games machines in arcades. DD has spotted one today while we are away and was so upset when she didn't win one. I know it will cost me a fortune to try to win one and even then there is no guarantee that I will.
Also looking for a luigi, about the same size but D's will be happy with any Luigi where as for DD it has to be that exact one.

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

NoHufflefucksGivenMugglefucker · 23/10/2018 20:41

matalan have unicorn stuff reduced. £4.20 for glittery cushion , theres fleeces and pillowcases etc too just need to rake

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 23/10/2018 20:51

Can anyone recommend aliexpress Lego mini-figure sellers? Some look a bit wrong and I know it can be hit and miss!

TellMeDinosaurFacts · 23/10/2018 20:58

@BestofLuck there’s some HTTYD playmobil a bit reduced in the John Lewis toy sale- 20% off.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 23/10/2018 21:40

Lucky lucky ds1 is 8yrs and considers himself a Lego expert perhaps a Lego city set at rep of £20-25 but look at sales at 20-25% off DH commented Smyth toys had some good deals today. My son loves nexo knights and the £20 sets are a good size. My DH says unless wanting to compete a set the under £18 rrp are not good value and you get more for your money the more you spend in that the size of set per pound is much better value.

We find John Lewis in store v good prices as often have best prices from where they price match I saw the police chase set for about £17 yesterday which is a bargain.

Maccycheesefries · 23/10/2018 21:42

Not a bargain but good forto the difficult to buy for in your life.

time have you got a picture of the plush you are looking for? I had this issue a few years ago with a superhero paw patrol toy dd2 had fallen in love with, found one eventually! Is it a kawaii cube type plush? Dd1 has a batman one and I saw some in Poundland today wonder woman I think (for more than a £ but unsure of price)

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 23/10/2018 21:55

I think it looks like this one. But heading back to the arcades tomorrow so will take a picture. I wonder if they will just let me but them.

Ds (9) has circled a Nintendo switch in the argos catalogue. Just wondered what people thought of them. What would be a good deal? TIA

Pebblesandfriends · 23/10/2018 22:05

My DH got Nintendo switch 'for the kids'. He loves it, they haven't had a look in Grin

Girlsnightin · 23/10/2018 22:48

Mine love the Switch. Very portable. I like is as two can play. Good entertainment for long journeys etc.

riotlady · 23/10/2018 23:32

@BanoffeePieIsMyFave ooooh I don’t know, I feel like it could be perfect could be not at all? I might have to send it to her and see what she thinks

Trumpton · 24/10/2018 01:00

@riotlady
I have a bracelet like this and it’s much admired .
Definitely quirky and androgynous.
