Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Those asking about turtle doves, I just emailed them and expressed a preference for colour (black or pirple but definitely not brown or beige) and they sent me black. Really good service

Jammiebammie · 16/10/2018 23:49

I don’t have an Argos account, just checked dh’s email account and he has an email from Argos but not one with a code, I wonder if it’s just random?
Mines titled ‘we’re feeling merry’ and has a unique code.
Sorry if nobody else has one, was sent at 9pm so maybe more are to be sent yet?

Asj0405 · 17/10/2018 00:04

Smyths and the entertainer have half price half term deals on.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 17/10/2018 06:22

Just seen this free gift on Bare Minerals with a £50 spend. Looks decent if you were planning to buy make up anyway.

I've had the Argos email too, gives a code each month. Not as good as the no spend ones you sometimes get but better than nothing 🙂

Honeywort · 17/10/2018 07:12

@itoldyouiwasfreaky I was buying towels in John Lewis last week and noticed that they had towelling dressing gowns with good reductions. They were in the towel section, not in clothing.

BODEN20 for 20% off your first order at Cox & Cox

Not exactly cheap but some beautiful Christmas bits

MyNameIsNotSteven · 17/10/2018 07:19

If anyone goes to Sainsbury's , please feed back on whether the toy sale is worth a 40 mile round trip Smile

BestofLuck · 17/10/2018 07:22

I've a Boden £10 off min £30 spend I can PM to someone if they want it. Needs using by 21st. I'm off to work but can PM later.

makingmiracles · 17/10/2018 07:24

Nice one, skateboard ordered here too, dp just starting teaching ds2 how to skateboard back in the summer, so ideal.

If anyone sees any good deals on tvs please shout. Women on Ashleigh money savers found a 40” sharp tv in here local Asda for £120! (Grimsby) unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be any other Asda’s at present, gutted as it’s normally £299!

Another good website to bookmark is hotukdeals, found some beauts on there.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 17/10/2018 07:47

Thank you @honeywort! I will take a look today

Redrosebelle · 17/10/2018 07:52

I’ve been to Sainsbury’s and got lots of paw patrol and Thomas toys! Not sure if it’s worth a long trip. Depends what you’re looking for? There were lots of things I needed!

fraggle84 · 17/10/2018 08:03

Keep your eyes on amazon today, they usually lower toy prices when sainsburys do their sale

TheCatFromOuterSpace · 17/10/2018 08:10

They've got the playmobil plane at argos for 20 as well, if anyone is looking

clairec87 · 17/10/2018 08:10

Baby annabell is now only £38.50 on Amazon Prime. Fab price!

Jenni2legs · 17/10/2018 08:23

bestofluck yes please to the Boden voucher Grin

InTheRoseGarden · 17/10/2018 08:33

Really quiet at the Sainsbury's sale. It's very similar to last year as far as reductions go but far fewer people. I didn't see it advertised until yesterday though.

MyNameIsNotSteven · 17/10/2018 08:34

Thanks for the pics Smile

BestofLuck · 17/10/2018 08:35

I've sent you a PM @jenni2legs - just managed to check before rushing out the house!

Redrosebelle · 17/10/2018 08:41

Sainsbury’s -

Playmobil plane 20
Playmobil zoo 45 from 90!
All other playmobil packs half price from what I could see
Paw patrol launch and roll set 22.50
Paw patrol Figures and sets appear to be 1/3 off
Chad valley toys (blocks, etc) all half price
Jigsaws and puzzles all half price
Things like lol surprise, polly pocket, Barbie, Disney dolls were popular
Hot wheels all half price

duckling84 · 17/10/2018 09:00

Currently at Sainsbury's as we speak, very underwhelming for me. There are some bargains, we've picked up the pj masks headquarters for £33.33 (everywhere else seems to be £50), and some slime sets and blind bags, but there seemed to be very little with 50% off and some toys weren't reduced at all (some lego brickheadz, poopsie slime surprise, ready 2 robot etc).

DaisyChops · 17/10/2018 09:12

Thanks to the Sainsbury's shoppers, think I'm going to give it a miss as it's probably an hour round trip for me and doesn't sound that great...and If I'm honest I don't really need any more stuff...I was hoping for the barbie camper van or barbie house but doesn't look like they are on offer

MyNameIsNotSteven · 17/10/2018 09:16

Yes I agree about the Sainsbury's sale. Really poor. Just popped to the smaller local branch. Very few things are discounted by more than 20%. LOL balls £10 from £8 for example. Didn't buy anything (except for a stapler and some sellotape!)

SimplyPut · 17/10/2018 09:19

Did anyone spot barbie Bargains in Sainsbury's? It's half term here so not wanting to organise someone to mind DD for an hr if it's all younger stuff/Lego.

Oh how I loved it when she was so small I could fill a trolly with her in it! [santa]
