Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

I have a Boden £10 off £30 going spare.

CoffeeMad18 · 17/10/2018 09:34

Don't forget to look at the outlet section of Fossil, great bargains there too and still lots in stock

Drummingisfun · 17/10/2018 09:35

I might pop into sainsburys later if I'm passing but ours hardly has any toys normally anyway so I'm guessing there won't be much. Not sure there's anything I need anyway.

SixToEightInchesOfSnow · 17/10/2018 09:39

Another one thinking the Sainsbury’s got sale was a bit crap. It might be ok for younger children, there was a lot of Paw Patrol and My Little Pony stuff but it’s mostly just giant boxes of cheap plastic and the decent stuff like Lego didn’t have much off.

PodgeBod · 17/10/2018 10:01

There are mermaid dreamtopia barbies (not the light up one) for £5.50 and the Fashionista ones were £6 I think SimplyPut

PodgeBod · 17/10/2018 10:04

I was at Sainsbury's just after it opened, it was deserted and the workers were just putting out the labels. Looked at everything. Went back at the end and there was a reduced sticker for Wrapples from £17 to £12 odd but I swear the wrapples were never there! Irritated as I really want to get those. The toys were put out the night before so definitely didn't sell out as I shopped, because I asked one of the employees.

Drummingisfun · 17/10/2018 10:09

Can anyone help me out with some present ideas please? I need something for niece 5.5yrs and 2 things for nephew as his 9th birthday is close to xmas. Problem is they live abroad and we only see them twice a year so I don't know them very well or know in detail what toys they have already.

Niece likes barbies but has loads already. Nephew likes consoles and football.
Whatever I get has to be EITHER able to be delivered direct to them in France (eg ordered from Amazon France) or has to be small and light enough to fit in their luggage.

Budget is £20ish per present. Any brilliant ideas anyone?

Justguessing · 17/10/2018 10:12

I'm quite pleased with my Sainsbury's haul:

  • fingerling unicorns
  • LOL dolls (under wraps and pets)
  • a lego friends junior set
  • squishies
  • spirograph set
  • hairdorables doll
  • shopkins cutie cars
  • play doh fun factory (50% off)
  • Disney princess dolls (50% off)
  • Barbie dolls (50% off)

I'm sure there were also a few Barbie sets included.

broughts · 17/10/2018 10:13

There was quite a lot in my Sainsbury’s. It was so busy, people were loading up their trollies with so many toys. Lots of gaps on the shelves already at 9am.

starryeyedsnowgirl · 17/10/2018 10:17

@PlayingForKittens I would love your Biden code if still available! Thanks

Redrosebelle · 17/10/2018 10:17

As far as I know they did have the Barbie camper van it was reduced but can’t eemember he price sorry!

Fuckingfuckssake · 17/10/2018 10:17

Yes please Kittens if you still have it?

SimplyPut · 17/10/2018 10:22

Thanks @PodgeBod and @Redrosebelle. Unfortunately she has the camper van but style dolls are handy.

@Justguessing can you remember how much the LOLs and fingerlings were?

Justguessing · 17/10/2018 10:30

Sorry SimplyPut, my receipt shows the original price for the LOLs and fingerlings (there's a total discount bit at the end). I'm sure the unicorn fingerlings were around £12-£13 though and I think the under wraps were around £12.

Redrosebelle · 17/10/2018 10:46

I’m fairly sure the lol surprises were £12 x

SockEatingMonster · 17/10/2018 10:53

@Drummingisfun something like this folding Barbie storage box / playhouse for £14.99 would work well for a child who likes Barbie. Even if she already has one, a second would still be useful. They’re €30 on amazon.fr so but should fold almost flat for travel.

PlayingForKittens · 17/10/2018 10:54

Boden code has gone.

Drummingisfun · 17/10/2018 11:26

sock thanks, I had no idea such things existed!

I've just been to sainsbos. Bought nothing except a pain au raisin for DD! They'd emptied the washing up liquid aisle and filled it with toys but nothing seemed a true bargain and a lot seemed like cheap tat bought in just for the sale, eg unbranded barbie and my little pony lookalikes.

makingmiracles · 17/10/2018 11:41

Another one unimpressed with sainsburys sale, ended up with just a bracelet making kit for my niece and a giant excavator digger for a 4 yr old. The lego wasn’t overly reduced nor the lols, but the capsule lol that are usually 15 we’re 12, our shops quite small so there wasn’t much, although quite a bit for younger kids under 3

SimplyPut · 17/10/2018 11:41

Think I will give Sainsbury's a miss. Thanks for the info!

flooredbored · 17/10/2018 11:48

Mary1935 · 17/10/2018 11:53

Ohholyfuck thanks for the skateboard tip. - ordered today - how do you hear of such codes. My son doesn’t know he needs one yet! But he’s 9 so should be ready.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 17/10/2018 11:59
